Sana T.

Sana grew up in Illinois and received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a major in biological sciences and a double minor in mathematics and psychology. Her zeal for learning is what drove her to study mathematics and psychology alongside biology. She has a fervor to learn about science and math, stay up to date with advancements in the fields, and teach that knowledge to others.

She started off her journey as a tutor while she was just in middle school! She was a private academic tutor for 15+ years and tutored on a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and reading at the elementary, middle, high school, and undergraduate levels. She started off her teaching experience as a mathematics instructor for K-12 math subjects and moved on to the role of a test prep instructor specializing in helping adolescents prepare for all subjects covered by the SAT and ACT. She gained most of her specialized teaching skills while being a STEM teacher and mentor at Fusion Academy, a school that specializes in giving personalized instruction to students that caters to their individual learning styles and patterns. While here, she was really able to hone in on identifying students’ individual needs and preferences and allow for them to reach their maximum learning potential. Sana values the student-teacher relationship and believes that true learning can only happen in an environment of acceptance, trust, and comfort. She puts importance on developing rhetoric, engaging with her students, and allowing them to feel at ease and ask any questions that facilitate and spark their learning. Teaching and connecting with students is truly a passion for Sana!

In her free time, Sana loves spending time playing with her toddler and nieces and nephews, engaging them in wonderful discoveries of the magnificent world around them! She admires nature and enjoys taking walks outdoors and sightseeing. She also has a passion for the arts, whether that’s in the form of movies, books, painting, drawing, and more!

Kylie N.

Kylie is a passionate middle grades educator dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and discover that learning can be both engaging and enjoyable. She began her educational journey at Mohave Community College before continuing her studies at Murray State University and later transferring to the University of St. Francis, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grade Education with a concentration in English Language Arts, graduating cum laude. Kylie completed a year-long teaching internship in an 8th grade ELA classroom and now works as a paraprofessional supporting students in grades 6–8 through classroom instruction and individualized academic support. Her strengths include reading, writing, grammar, and helping students develop confidence through engaging and interactive lessons.

Kylie believes strong relationships are the foundation of successful education and strives to incorporate students’ interests and learning styles into every lesson while supporting Illinois learning standards. She loves seeing the “light bulb moment” when students fully understand new material and begin believing in their own abilities. Outside of education, you can usually find Kylie with a book in hand, exploring hiking trails, or playing PC and Xbox games. These hobbies often help her connect with students and make learning more relatable. She also enjoys spending time with her family and young son. At home, her two dogs and two cats always keep life entertaining.

Azareel L

Azareel is an experienced Early Childhood educator with over 17 years in the field. She holds a Master’s degree and a Professional Educator License, and currently teaches in a dual language kindergarten classroom within a public school setting.

Azareel is deeply passionate about working with young learners and is committed to meeting each child at their individual level. She believes that every child can succeed when given the right support, patience, and encouragement. Her teaching approach focuses on building confidence, fostering a love for learning, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and understood.

In her spare time, Azareel works one-on-one with children ranging from age 6 through middle school. She has successfully supported students in improving their reading, writing, vocabulary, and math skills through personalized, engaging instruction.

In addition to her classroom experience, Azareel has worked with children with special needs, allowing her to provide individualized strategies that support diverse learning styles and abilities.

She is dedicated to helping students grow academically and emotionally, making learning a positive and empowering experience.

Abigail L.

Abigail is a reading and literacy specialist whose passion is helping students become confident, capable readers and lifelong learners. She combines classroom teaching experience with advanced literacy research to provide highly individualized instruction that helps students strengthen foundational reading skills, improve comprehension, and develop a genuine love of learning. Abigail earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Curriculum & Instruction from Baylor University, graduating with honors and earning her Texas EC–6 teaching certification. She later completed her Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy at Texas A&M University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is currently completing herPh.D. in Curriculum & Instruction at Texas A&M, where her dissertation research focuses on the reading comprehension knowledge of literacy and instructional coaches. Her professional experience bridges both research and classroom practice. Abigail has served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Specialist with the Texas A&M Literacy Team, partnering with school districts to improve literacy instruction, coach teachers, develop curriculum, analyze student achievement data, and implement evidence-based reading practices. She has also provided private reading intervention, worked with bilingual elementary classrooms, and tutored struggling readers in both in-person and virtual settings. Abigail specializes in reading intervention, English Language Arts, handwriting, and evidence-based literacy instruction. She holds Texas certifications in EC–6 Core Subjects, English as a Second Language (ESL), and the Science of Teaching Reading (STR), giving her extensive preparation in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and effective reading instruction. She also has experience usingEBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction) to help students develop strong foundational reading skills through research-supported instructional methods. One of Abigail’s greatest strengths is her ability to build meaningful relationships with students. She believes lasting learning begins with trust and encouragement, and she works to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and celebrating their progress. She especially enjoys witnessing those rewarding “lightbulb moments” when a struggling reader begins to experience confidence and success. Beyond her work with students, Abigail has contributed to published educational research focused on reading comprehension and writing instruction, reflecting her commitment to advancing literacy education both inside and outside the classroom. Outside of tutoring and research, Abigail enjoys reading, long-distance running, hiking with her husband around the San Antonio area, spending time with her many nieces and nephews, and enjoying plenty of coffee while working on her dissertation. Growing up on a ranch instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for nature, hard work, and the power of memorable storytelling—values that continue to shape her approach to education today.

Vilma C.

Vilma is a dedicated educator with more than 30 years of classroom experience helping students build strong academic foundations and confidence in their abilities. After retiring from a distinguished career in public education in 2022, she has continued doing what she loves most—working directly with students as an English Language Arts tutor and mathematics interventionist, helping learners strengthen foundational skills and achieve lasting academic success. Vilma earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas Permian Basin with double majors in English and Spanish, along with a concentration in Secondary Education. She holds Texas teaching certifications in Secondary Spanish, English Language Arts (Grades 4–8), and Bilingual Education, providing her with the expertise to support students across multiple grade levels and learning needs. During her 30-year career, Vilma spent 16 years teaching at the high school level and 14 years in elementary education, working with students of every ability level—from those needing additional academic support to gifted learners seeking greater challenges. Her extensive classroom experience has equipped her with the instructional flexibility to meet students where they are and help each one reach their full potential. Vilma specializes in comprehensive elementary academic support, providing individualized instruction in reading, language arts, writing, mathematics, spelling, handwriting, and ESL for students in grades K–5. She also works with middle school students in Language Arts and Math while teaching Spanish at the middle school and high school levels, including conversational Spanish. In addition, she helps students prepare for STAAR Reading and Math assessments by strengthening the foundational skills, confidence, and test-taking strategies they need for success. Families appreciate Vilma’s patient, encouraging teaching style and her unwavering commitment to student success. She believes every child can learn when instruction is personalized, supportive, and engaging. Lindsay C.

Lindsay is an accomplished elementary educator with more than a decade of experience working with children in a variety of educational settings and five years as a certified public school teacher. After several successful years in the classroom, Lindsay chose to transition into private education so she could focus on providing personalized, one-on-one instruction that meets each student’s unique learning needs. She continues to serve North East ISD as a substitute teacher while dedicating her primary professional focus to tutoring students across the San Antonio area. Lindsay earned her degree in Education from Texas State University, graduating with honors while also completing double minors in Psychology and Music. During her time as a classroom teacher in North East ISD, she taught fourth and fifth grade and was recognized by the Texas Education Agency as being among the top 33% of teachers in the state for student academic growth and performance. Throughout her career, she has worked with students ranging from infants to college-age learners, giving her a broad understanding of child development, learning styles, and effective instructional strategies. She specializes in elementary education (K–5 all subjects), reading, writing, English Language Arts, social studies, STAAR preparation, handwriting, spelling, and test-taking strategies. Lindsay has extensive experience supporting English Language Learners, gifted and talented students, and students receiving special education services. She has also taught inclusion classrooms, monitored individualized education plans, and adapted instruction to meet a wide variety of learning needs. In addition to classroom teaching, Lindsay develops educational curriculum and instructional resources used by teachers across the country. Through her curriculum design work, she creates engaging lessons, digital resources, and classroom activities that help students learn in meaningful and interactive ways.
