Upon completion of my undergraduate degree at Western, I completed a M.DPE from OISE, U of T and was employed for 3 years at OISE running an infant developmental lab, before embarking on my tutoring business.

Nicole is a Franchise Support Manager with Prep Academy Tutors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and brings a diverse background in both administration and education. Nicole has three years of office administration experience including bookkeeping, payroll and intake coordination across multiple organizations. She has spent four years supporting children ages 3-5 on the autism spectrum in a classroom setting. In these programs, children work on a variety of skills including communication, daily living, social and group participation and emotional regulation as they prepare to enter school. In her free time, Nicole enjoys travelling, cooking and baking sourdough bread.

Raemyn is a Franchise Support Manager at Prep Academy Tutors. She has been working with Prep Academy since 2020. Raemyn is a certified teacher who is familiar with the curriculum guidelines and expectations over various grade levels, and she specializes in teaching English, Social Sciences, and French. Raemyn majored in Educational Studies and graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree. Raemyn is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and better educational experience for students. In her free time, Raemyn enjoys watching hockey, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Aliaa is a dedicated and approachable tutor who supports students across a range of subjects, with particular strength in math. As an Education Assistant at a local middle school, she works closely with students to build both academic skills and confidence, tailoring her approach to meet every learner’s needs.

In addition to her current role, Aliaa previously worked at a local high school as an Education Assistant with a focus on math and science. This experience has given her strong insight into curriculum expectations, common learning challenges, and effective strategies to help students succeed at the secondary level.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (with a concentration in Mathematics and Data Science) and is currently pursuing advanced studies in Data Analytics at SAIT. Having worked with numerous students across Calgary through multiple top tutoring agencies, he brings a deep, practical familiarity with the local curriculum.

Brandon is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Calgary, with an expected graduation in 2026. He holds a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Pharmacology from the University of Alberta, completed in April 2023. Brandon has extensive experience in youth development and education, having served as a Youth Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club and a Child & Youth Coordinator at the Northern Alberta YMCA. In these roles, he developed and facilitated educational programs tailored to meet children’s learning needs and foster academic growth.

Brandon also has a rich background in behavior management and educational support, highlighted by being a Classroom Behavior Manager and Teaching Assistant. He has consistently demonstrated leadership and commitment to creating supportive and enriching learning environments for students, promoting both academic and personal development.

Additionally, Brandon has been actively involved in mentorship and volunteer work, including roles as a Youth Mentor with the Youth Restorative Action Project and a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Brooke is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Mathematics with a French Specialization at St. Mary’s University.

Brooke’s passion for tutoring began in junior high, when she started helping classmates during lunch and after school. She continued tutoring throughout high school and university, accumulating over eight years of experience supporting students in Grades 7-12 in math, science, and French. She considers tutoring to be her favourite professional experience and reflecting on her time tutoring ultimately inspired her to transition from a career in manufacturing to pursue teaching.

Brooke also spent five years working in out-of-school care and summer camps with K-6 students. In this setting, she especially enjoyed engaging students in reading and storytelling, and fostering their natural curiosity for the world around them through science.

David is a St. Mary’s University Dean’s List (2025-2026) student and teacher in-training. Djohra is a dedicated and patient tutor who helps students build confidence and succeed in French and Mathematics from Grade 1 to Grade 8. She teaches in French and adapts each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and individual needs.

With several years of tutoring and teaching experience, Djohra has worked with students of different ages and academic levels. She has experience supporting students in Alberta and Quebec, giving her a strong understanding of French-language learning in the Canadian school environment.

In Mathematics, she helps students strengthen their understanding of key concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and become more comfortable working independently. In French, she supports students with reading, writing, grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Douglas has a Bachelor of Education after-degree at the University of Calgary, specializing in Secondary Science (Chemistry). He previously graduated with an Honours degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology in 2023. He currently teaches Grade 9 Math and Science and has prior experience teaching high school. A firm believer in the transformational power of knowledge, Douglas has worked as a part-time math and science tutor for over seven years, supporting a diverse range of students with varying needs.

Erin graduated from a thesis-based Masters program in Physical Activity Sciences at Université de Montréal, with a specialization in Sport Psychology. She is bilingual and completed the majority of this degree in French. Previously, Erin attended StFX University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Human Kinetics in the Pre-education stream, with a minor in French and a pair in Fine Arts. She is highly knowledgeable in the French language and in the areas of academic and scientific writing. Her primary teachables include French, English, Health, Science, and Art. Outside of school, Erin is a competitive track and field pentathlete and heptathlete, with a diverse athletic background in soccer and hockey which she competed in for over 15 years.

Katrina has completed her Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Secondary Education at the University of Calgary combined with a Bachelor of Science in General Mathematics. She has completed practicum placements in both CBE and CCSD schools, teaching Math 10C, Math 20‑1, Math 30‑1, and Math 30‑2.

During her undergraduate studies, she worked part‑time with the Faculty of Mathematics as a Calculus I reader and moderator, supporting students with assignments and assisting professors with exam invigilation. She also became a research assistant on a departmental project focused on transforming assessment and course design in Calculus I.

In high school, she studied a broad range of academic subjects—including Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus—and graduated as her cohort’s Student of the Year.

Katrina also has classroom experience at the elementary level, working as a casual education assistant since 2023. Katrina is currently employed as a 4th Grade teacher for the 2026/2027 school year.

Outside of academics, she played volleyball as a member of the school team.

Kevin is a classroom teacher who has two bachelor’s degrees in Education and Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary. During the school year Kevin teaches a Grade 5 class with the Calgary Board of Education. In the classroom Kevin has experience working with diverse school communities, unique student learning needs and uses a student-centric approach to instruction. Kevin has 12 years of tutoring experience and has tutored math and sciences for a wide range of grade levels. Through these experiences Kevin has continued to grow and adapt his teaching practice to better fit the needs of his students. In his spare time Kevin enjoys the outdoors, sports and trying new restaurants.

Kiayana is a certified teacher in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Education with minors in Social Studies and History. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 6, and has also worked as a Diverse Learning Teacher. Her background includes working as a Preschool Teacher, where she focused on fine motor development, letter formation, and early phonics skills. Kim has a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary (with a specialization in French). She has over 7 years of experience teaching in classrooms and extensive tutoring experience. Education is her passion and she enjoys finding unique ways to engage each student she works with to accelerate their academic progress and confidence in themselves.

Kim is a Masters level synchronized swimmer, she loves to hike with her golden retriever, and she also enjoys teaching swimming and lifeguarding. In addition to teaching, travel is a huge part of Kim’s life and one of her favourite experiences was swimming 25km around the Greek Islands.

Laghima is a Chemistry student at the University of Calgary with years of tutoring experience in math, chemistry, and English for students in grades 1 through 10. Her strong foundation in the sciences, combined with her patience and ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way, allows her to support students in building confidence and achieving academic success.

Majid is an experienced STEM educator with more than 25 years of combined university teaching and private tutoring experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Earthquake Engineering and has extensive experience teaching mathematics, physics, and engineering-related subjects.

Before focusing primarily on tutoring, Majid spent more than a decade teaching at the university level. Since 2017, he has also worked extensively as a private tutor, supporting high school, AP, IB, college, and university students in mathematics and physics.

She has been working with Minds in Motion to deliver hands-on STEM concepts to groups of students from grades 1- 9 through summer camps, kid’s clubs, and classroom workshops. Marzia focuses on fostering excitement about the intricate world of STEM, creating an inclusive environment, and sparking curiosity in young minds.

Having worked extensively with students across different age groups and academic levels, Marzia is adept at tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student. She believes in creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel empowered to reach their full potential. Matt has two degrees from the University of Calgary, one in Education and the other in Fine Arts. He has worked as a teacher at the Calgary Catholic School Board, the YMCA, and has worked with artists in residency programs throughout the province. He has taught a wide variety of different subjects, and has developed curriculum and programming for youth. Matt is currently the Principal of Stagecoach Calgary East which runs a performing arts program for kids. Melanie is an experienced elementary educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience and a Master of Education, specializing in Special Education and learning disabilities.

Melanie offers individualized tutoring in English and French as well as Math, Science and Social Studies, with a focus on reading, writing, spelling, and literacy skills. With experience as a software engineer in industry, Minh understands the importance of strong foundations and the practical application of knowledge. Mohmmed is a passionate educator currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education with a minor in humanities at Mount Royal University. He has supported students from kindergarten to grade eight in online and in person settings, helping them strengthen their skills in subjects across the curriculum.

Mohmmed has also supported adult learners – particularly immigrants who are developing their English for work, school, and everyday communication. He focuses on making lessons clear, supportive, and adaptable to each learner’s needs.

Mosa is an MRU Alumni, graduating from Mount Royal University with an English Degree. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Education at St. Mary’s University. He is also the author of two novels, which helps bring a more creative and engaging approach to learning. Mosa is TEFL certified and has over two years of tutoring experience, helping both children and adults alike to develop their confidence and abilities to excel in their academic skills, most notably around English. Watching a student discover that “Oh” moment fuels his already strong passion for teaching.

Nicole holds two degrees from the University of Lethbridge, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education. She has been teaching in the Calgary Catholic district for a number of years and has extensive experience with one on one tutoring. Olivia completed her Bachelor of Education program at Mount Royal University with a double minor in English and Indigenous Studies. She has experience working with a variety of ages and grade levels, and is a grade one teacher!

Olivia is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education at Mount Royal University, with a double minor in French and Physical Literacy. French is her first language, and she is passionate about supporting students in both French and literacy development. With 2 years of tutoring experience, she enjoys helping children build confidence while creating a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. On the side, she also works as a soccer coach with children with disabilities, which has strengthened her patience, adaptability, and commitment to helping every child feel included and successful. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge and has spent the past five years teaching a wide range of ages and subjects. Ralph is near completion of his combined degree program at the University of Lethbridge. He is in the General Major in the Sciences/Math Education program. Ralph has completed teaching practicums through the University of Lethbridge and aspires to be a teacher. Ralph is passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy their learning. He also has experience tutoring. You can expect Ralph to be flexible and punctual in addition to building positive relationships with his students. Ralph understands that learning is enhanced through positive relationships and so strives to connect with his students. Some of Ralph’s hobbies and interests are reading, being in the outdoors, spending quality time with his dog, and running.

Ricky was born and raised in Calgary. After completing his chemistry degree at McGill University, he went on to obtain his teaching degree, specializing in senior chemistry and physics, at the University of Toronto. In 2026, he completed his PhD training in synthetic organic chemistry and now works as a practicing chemist. His experience as a residence assistant, teacher, and instructor has reinforced his passion for supporting student development and mentoring youth.

Ricky understands that no two students learn the same way and is attentive to diverse learning styles. He strives to tailor his approach to each student’s needs, fostering a safe and supportive environment where students can build confidence, independence, and effective learning skills.

Saachi Gupta is a Data Science student at the University of Calgary with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. She maintains a solid GPA while completing coursework in Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science using Python and Java.

Saachi is a graduate of Western Canada High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program, where she studied Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Business. Her IB background has strengthened her analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and disciplined approach to learning.

Sally is a Secondary School English Teacher from London, UK, specialising in High School level ELA, and analytical essay writing. She has been teaching in classrooms and tutoring for over 20 years. Now a Citizen of Canada, she has been tutoring Canadian students for more than 10 years. She prides herself in enabling students to achieve and surpass their perceived ability, especially in exams.

Umar is in his final year of Software Engineering at the University of Calgary and has always been passionate about STEM subjects. Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (First Class Hons) and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, with a specialization in Physiology from the University of Calgary. She has also completed her graduate student certification in University Learning and Teaching. Now, Vicki teaches human anatomy & physiology courses at several institutions including the University of Regina, College LaSalle, & John Abbott College. Zahra holds two master’s degrees – one in Pure Mathematics and another in Mathematical Finance from the University of Calgary.

She has extensive teaching and tutoring experience at multiple levels of education. Zahra has three years of experience teaching mathematics at the high school level, where she prepared students for provincial exams while fostering strong problem-solving skills.
