Upon completion of my undergraduate degree at Western, I completed a M.DPE from OISE, U of T and was employed for 3 years at OISE running an infant developmental lab, before embarking on my tutoring business.

Raemyn is a Franchise Support Manager at Prep Academy Tutors. She has been working with Prep Academy since 2020. Raemyn is a certified teacher who is familiar with the curriculum guidelines and expectations over various grade levels, and she specializes in teaching English, Social Sciences, and French. Raemyn majored in Educational Studies and graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree. Raemyn is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and better educational experience for students. In her free time, Raemyn enjoys watching hockey, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Aidyn, currently entering her 5th year at Brock University, is pursuing concurrent degrees in Education and Integrated Studies, specializing in French. Aidyn’s academic journey is marked by a strong foundation in French Immersion education.

Her practical experience in education includes serving as a Tutor at the Brock University Learning Lab, where Aidyn developed lesson plans to enhance literacy. As a Student Peer at the same university, she facilitated access to digital texts for students with special needs with a commitment to educational equity. Aidyn is actively pursuing professional development, attending seminars and classes in areas like trauma-informed education, inclusive teaching practices, and language acquisition strategies, to enrich her teaching credentials and better serve her students.

Alex holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics with a minor in Intercultural Communication. He currently teaches in the University of Calgary’s English Language Program.

His professional background spans over 25 years in language studies, including university teaching and English language instruction across diverse learning contexts. He has taught academic English, literature-focused courses, and professional communication, guiding students in developing clarity, organization, critical thinking, and precision in their use of language.

Alex is currently completing a two-year after degree in Education. Prior to starting this second degree, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Literacy (Kinesiology) from Mount Royal University where she graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

With 4 years of formal tutoring experience and a background as an Education Assistant for grades 5–8, Alex excels in individual and small group instruction to reinforce curriculum content. Amber holds a 2-year early childhood diploma as well as a 3-year international Montessori pedagogy diploma. She is a lifelong learner and has attended many conferences, workshops, and webinars on various Montessori topics, as well as child development.
Amber has been a Montessorian for 16 years and has also worked as a private tutor. Montessori education focuses on the holistic child, with high academics as a byproduct when they enter Grade 1, as it is a very individualized program. These areas include Math, Language, Science, and Geography.
Over her 16 years of teaching, Amber has worked with age groups. She has worked with children who have challenges as well as those with high cognitive abilities. She knows how to adjust her approach to suit the child, whether by changing how a lesson is delivered, knowing when to challenge them, or repeating the lesson in a new, fun way to make the concept easier to grasp. Bailey is a current Education student at Mount Royal University and aspires to be a high school math teacher. Previously, he had completed his certification as a qualified electrician where he worked in that field for 7 years.

Bailey also spends his free time officiating football games from the pee-wee level to the CJFL for the past 8 years.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems with a Mathematics and Data Science concentration and is currently studying Data Analytics at SAIT. With extensive tutoring experience across Canada, the US and UK, he excels at breaking down complex concepts and supporting students through clear, encouraging instruction. Brandon has extensive experience in youth development and education, having served as a Youth Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club and a Child & Youth Coordinator at the Northern Alberta YMCA. Brandon also has a rich background in behavior management and educational support, highlighted by being a Classroom Behavior Manager and Teaching Assistant. Cavell is a highly experienced educator with over 20 years in teaching, curriculum design, and educational leadership. With a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design, she has dedicated her career to helping children discover their strengths and succeed as lifelong learners.

Her journey in education has taken her across Canada, from classroom teaching to serving as an Education Consultant in the Yukon and an Education Coordinator in Alberta. Most recently, she has stepped into the role of Education Specialist, where she continues to support inclusive, student-centered learning and provide guidance to both educators and school teams.

She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students and colleagues, and her energy for learning shines through in every interaction. Her expertise in curriculum allows her to support a wide range of academic areas across multiple age groups, from early learners to students in higher grades. At the heart of her work is a commitment to empowering students to see themselves as capable, confident, and successful learners.

David has been a school teacher for more than 20 years. He loves helping kids to reach their goals in life. His favorite subjects to teach are Languages (especially French and Spanish), math and social studies. He loves creating a nice environment in class in which my students learn and have fun. This extends to one on one support as well – David strives for his lessons to always be a combination of fun and deeper understanding.

David is teacher in-training with a background in project management with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science. He has experience tutoring kids in English while on tour in Italy. David is excited to put to practice the teaching techniques he is learning and help students reach their goals in education.

Djohra is an accomplished academic with a solid foundation in economics and applied statistics, currently pursuing a PhD at the National School of Statistics and Applied Economics in Algiers, Algeria. She holds a Master’s degree in Actuarial Studies in Social Security and another in Quantitative Finance. Additionally, she has an Engineer degree in Statistics in Finance and Actuarial Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in Planning and Statistics.

Djohra’s expertise spans macroeconomic analysis, financial programming, and advanced statistical methods. Her proficiency with software tools like Microsoft Office, Stata, and Eviews enhances her analytical capabilities. She is multilingual, fluent in French and Arabic.

Professionally, Djohra has a rich teaching background, having served as a Professor of Statistics and Probabilities in Algiers for two years. Her research credentials are equally impressive, with significant contributions as a Research Assistant in the Applied Statistics Laboratory (LASAP) and as a member of the Research Team for University Training Research Projects (PRFU), where she focused on the pension system in Algeria.

Douglas Li recently completed his Bachelor of Education after-degree at the University of Calgary, specializing in Secondary Science (Chemistry). He previously graduated with an Honours degree in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology in 2023. A firm believer in the transformational power of knowledge, Douglas has worked as a part-time math and science tutor for over five years, supporting a diverse range of students with varying needs.

Joyce holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Education. During her studies, she was consistently recognized for her academic excellence, earning a place on the Dean’s List.
Joyce’s passion for creativity and learning shines through both her artistic background and her teaching. She has taken part in several educational camps, where she helped children explore their imagination through play creation and hands-on learning experiences. Kathleen is currently a 10th year teacher with RVS. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and a Masters of Education specializing in Special Education. Junior High and Senior High Math and Sciences are Kathleen’s speciality. She has tutored students from Junior High to College level for over 7 years. She really enjoys helping students find success in their courses and finding ways to engage and motivate them to reach their goals.

Katrina is nearing the completion of her Bachelor of Education combined with a Bachelor of Science in General Mathematics, graduating in April 2026 with a specialization in Secondary Education at the University of Calgary. She has completed practicum placements in both CBE and CCSD schools, teaching Math 10C, Math 20‑1, Math 30‑1, and Math 30‑2.

During her undergraduate studies, she worked part‑time with the Faculty of Mathematics as a Calculus I reader and moderator, supporting students with assignments and assisting professors with exam invigilation. She is currently a research assistant on a departmental project focused on transforming assessment and course design in Calculus I.

Katrina also has classroom experience at the elementary level, working as a casual education assistant since 2023. In high school, she studied a broad range of academic subjects—including Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus—and graduated as her cohort’s Student of the Year. Outside of academics, she played volleyball as a member of the school team.

Kevin is a classroom teacher who has two bachelor’s degrees in Education and Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary. During the school year Kevin teaches a Grade 5 class with the Calgary Board of Education. In the classroom Kevin has experience working with diverse school communities, unique student learning needs and uses a student-centric approach to instruction. Kevin has 10 years of tutoring experience and has tutored math and sciences for a wide range of grade levels. Kim is a Masters level synchronized swimmer, she loves to hike with her golden retriever and she also enjoys teaching swimming and lifeguarding. In addition to teaching, travel is a huge part of Kim’s life and one of her favourite experiences was swimming 25km around the Greek Islands.

Laghima is a Chemistry student at the University of Calgary with years of tutoring experience in math, chemistry, and English for students in grades 1 through 10. Majid has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and over 12 years of teaching experience in an academic settings. He started his teaching journey as a lecturer in a post-secondary institution in his home country, Iran. He has tutored high school to university levels since 2017. He is very passionate about learning and enjoys helping students in Math, Physics, and Engineering courses reach their academic goals.

Marzia is currently completing her undergraduate Honours degree in Cellular Molecular Microbial Biology with a minor in Psychology at the University of Calgary. Originally from Ontario, Michaela moved to Calgary, AB this past summer for a new adventure. Mohmmed is a passionate educator currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education with a minor in humanities at Mount Royal University. He has supported students from kindergarten to grade eight in online and in person settings, helping them strengthen their skills in subjects across the curriculum.

Mohmmed has also supported adult learners – particularly immigrants who are developing their English for work, school, and everyday communication. He focuses on making lessons clear, supportive, and adaptable to each learner’s needs.

Mosa is an MRU Alumni, graduating from Mount Royal University with an English Degree. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Education at St. Mary’s University. He is also the author of two novels, which helps bring a more creative and engaging approach to learning. Mosa is also TEFL certified and has over two years of tutoring experience, helping both children and adults alike to develop their confidence and abilities to excel in their academic skills, most notably around English. Ralph is near completion of his combined degree program at the University of Lethbridge. He is in the General Major in the Sciences/Math Education program. Ralph has completed teaching practicums through the University of Lethbridge and aspires to be a teacher. Ralph is passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy their learning. He also has experience tutoring. You can expect Ralph to be flexible and punctual in addition to building positive relationships with his students. Ricky was born and raised in Calgary. Upon completion of his chemistry degree at McGill University, he went on to obtain his teaching degree, specializing in senior chemistry and physics, at the University of Toronto. His previous experience working as a teaching assistant and residence assistant confirmed his love for supporting student development and mentoring youth.

Saachi Gupta is a Data Science student at the University of Calgary with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Umar is in his final year of Software Engineering at the University of Calgary and has always been passionate about STEM subjects. A graduate of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program with honours, Umar brings both academic excellence and a deep understanding of how to make complex topics approachable.

Vicki graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (First Class Hons) and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, with a specialization in Physiology from the University of Calgary. She has also completed her graduate student certification in University Learning and Teaching. Now, Vicki teaches Human Biology at College LaSalle in Montreal with the goal of pursuing in PhD at McGill University. She also teaches several online classes in all fields of STEM with all age groups from middle-school and up to the undergraduate level.
