Gim C.

Hi families! My name is Gim, and I am an enthusiastic teacher/tutor. I developed a passion for education when I was a student. I faced challenges with math in elementary school, but with the support of a great tutor, I not only overcame my struggles but also grew to love the subject that once seemed like a nightmare to me. My passion for learning and education recently led me to complete my Master of Teaching at the University of Toronto. I am passionate about helping students discover their love for learning. I have worked with students of all ages, from group-based and small-group teaching to one-on-one tutoring. I love teaching Math, Science, English, History, and Geography. Thanks to my teacher training, I have a deep understanding of different learning styles and universal design principles and can tailor my instruction to meet the needs of each student.

There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing that “aha” moment when something clicks for a learner. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging by allowing my students to use hands-on activities, practical games, and different methods that enable them to connect with the material in a way that works best for them. I’m here to support you, and I believe learning should be both exciting and meaningful!

In my free time, I love cooking, baking, hiking with my puppy, reading, singing, and watching Marvel movies, Star Wars, Stranger Things, and Harry Potter.

I can’t wait to get to know you and help you achieve your goals! Let’s learn and grow together!
