CLAIRE Z.
Claire Z. holds a Master’s degree in Education from Touro University. She has experience working across multiple grades, having served as a fourth-grade Special Education teacher and a first-grade teacher in the city. Currently, she is a fifth-grade Special Education teacher in Westchester, where she continues to support diverse learners. Additionally, Claire has contributed her expertise outside the classroom as a Writing Intensive Tutor at Wagner College’s Writing Center. Beverlyn J.
Beverlyne J. is a mathematics and chemistry educator from Kenya.
As a child, Beverlyne had a strong interest in problem-solving and science, which led her to study higher math and chemistry and pursue a career in teaching and research.
She received her B.Ed. in Mathematics and Chemistry and her MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nairobi, in Kenya. She did her postgraduate studies at Uppsala University in Sweden.
She has taught math and chemistry at several different levels: lecturing at the University of Nairobi, serving as the head of the Mathematics Department at the Jaffery Academy (Nairobi), and working as a lecturer/tutor for private clients.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing badminton, conducting research in mathematical modeling, and mentoring young scholars in STEM.
Her goal is to make mathematics meaningful and accessible, and help students build the confidence and critical-thinking skills that apply outside the classroom.
Sophie T.
Sophie T. is a fourth-year student at McGill University studying Kindergarten and Elementary Education, with a specialization in French Immersion. Throughout her academic journey, Sophie has gained extensive experience working with children of various ages through roles in summer camps, babysitting, and substitute teaching. She has completed two teaching placements as part of her program. One placement was as a student teacher in a Grade 5 classroom at Roslyn Elementary School, where she gained experience planning lessons, supporting diverse learners, and managing a classroom environment. Her second placement was at the Jewish General Day School, in a specialized program designed to support students with significant behavioural challenges. There, she taught in a Grade 3/4 classroom and developed a strong understanding of diverse behavioural and learning disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with complex needs in an inclusive and structured setting. She has been passionate about teaching from a young age and has always placed a high value on education and lifelong learning. These experiences have allowed her to develop strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and an understanding of diverse learning needs. Known for her outgoing and charismatic personality, Sophie easily builds positive relationships with children, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Torre M.
Torre’ M. is a dedicated educator and professional dancer based in New Orleans. With four years of teaching experience, Torre’ began her career in education as a substitute teacher and has since evolved into a passionate elective and physical education teacher. A native of New Orleans, Torre’ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Prairie View A&M University in Texas. SASHA E.
Sasha is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with a diverse range of teaching experience across various grade levels. Currently working at the Junior division of an independent IB school in Toronto, she is passionate about creating engaging and inquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and communication. With over 14 years of experience teaching everyone from beginners to federal officials, and a near-native fluency in Spanish, Joseph brings a wealth of knowledge to every session.

Serena graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications Studies. With her experience and education background, she thrives on open communication and developing strong relationships with her students. She recently applied to teachers college due to her passion to help students learn and grow. She truly believes in engaging with students using their individual strengths to make learning a fun and positive experience for all. In her spare time, Serena enjoys going to the gym, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
Fiona B.
Fiona is a dedicated and passionate educator who is committed to providing student-centred learning that meets the needs of all learners. Tailoring instruction to students’ strengths, needs, and interests is central to Fiona’s approach to teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University along with her Bachelor of Education, and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.
Fiona has had meaningful experiences with the early years. She has worked in both a Grade 1 and Kindergarten classroom where she supported the development of early literacy and numeracy through inquiry-driven learning activities. Additionally, Fiona has experience with UFLI, supporting the implementation of foundational literacy skills. Beyond the classroom, Fiona has had experience running a day camp for many years, providing children with engaging hands-on activities that fosters creativity. Kailee H.
Kailee is a lifelong learner with more than 14 years of experience in education. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from Texas State University. During college, she dedicated over 100 volunteer hours each semester to supporting students in local elementary classrooms—a reflection of her early commitment to teaching.
She is certified in Early Childhood through 6th grade (EC–6) and English as a Second Language (ESL), with extensive experience supporting students of all learning styles and abilities. Kailee has worked closely with special education teams to create inclusive, supportive classrooms where every student can thrive. Kailee has taught in Round Rock ISD and Harmony Public Schools, gaining experience across all elementary grade levels, K–5. Over her eight years in the classroom, she served as a core subject teacher, reading and math specialist, and even launched her school’s STEAM program from the ground up. She also taught virtually during COVID—an experience that strengthened her creativity and adaptability as an educator.

Beyond the classroom, Kailee served as the Director of Workforce Development for the Boys & Girls Club of America, helping underserved youth discover their passions and career paths—while continuing to tutor students after school. HEATHER G.
Heather has been guiding and coaching students for nearly three decades, bringing extensive experience in academic counselling, executive functioning coaching, and post-secondary advising. She has worked in leadership and guidance roles at some of Canada’s leading independent schools, including Appleby College and Havergal College, as well as internationally at Neuchâtel Junior College in Switzerland. Most recently, she served as Director of Guidance and Counselling at the National Ski Academy in Collingwood, Ontario.
Heather specializes in post-secondary advising, helping students successfully navigate the university and college application process in Canada, the US, and the UK. She has particular expertise in NCAA athletics pathways, supporting student-athletes through eligibility, recruitment, and scholarship opportunities. In addition, Heather provides executive functioning coaching, guiding students in developing organization, time management, and study skills that allow them to thrive academically and personally.
Her approach is student-centred and holistic, blending academic planning with social-emotional support to ensure students feel confident, resilient, and well-prepared for their futures. She has extensive experience helping students build strong study habits, manage stress, and develop the independence needed to succeed in post-secondary settings.
Heather holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University, and multiple undergraduate degrees in Physical Education, Health Studies and Women’s Studies. In addition to her school leadership roles, she has been a frequent presenter to students, parents, and community groups on topics including university admissions, executive functioning, and mental health.
