During this time, Eva also obtained an MA in mathematics from the University of Houston with much of her coursework focused on math education.
She moved back to Philadelphia to complete a Masters program in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined Comcast, eventually serving as a senior software engineer. While Eva enjoyed mentoring in that role, she misses working with students and is eager to bring her energy and expertise to helping clients achieve their goals. In her spare time, she stays up too late reading and always has several craft projects on the go, including making bespoke piñatas for her friends’ kids.

Maddie currently works as an administrative assistant in road construction but discovered a passion for helping people as a substitute teacher at Stevenson High School. She grew up in Illinois, but moved to Vancouver, BC, to complete a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in Spanish. Along the way, she discovered that she enjoyed her minor much more than history and completed additional classes in Spanish/English translation with UC San Diego Extension. Nowadays, Maddie is preparing for grad school to switch to a career in Occupational Therapy, but she still enjoys using and learning Spanish as well as teaching it to others. Beyond academic and career pursuits, her favorite activities include reading, art, and skiing. She hopes to start enjoying rock climbing once she’s gone a few more times.

Megan McCoy is a Certified Teacher. She grew up in Emmett, moving to Colville, Washington, and Carson City, Nevada, to complete an Online Undergraduate Degree in General Education (K-8) and Special Education (K-12) with an endorsement in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education with an endorsement in Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Megan grew up with a deep love of travel, concerts, and the ocean, and took the opportunity to explore the West Coast while completing her degrees. During her stays, Megan discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. When she decided to pursue teaching as a career, Megan moved back home to teach in her hometown and begin a family. Through teaching, Megan has been able to foster her love of Math and reading. During the summer months, Megan enjoys teaching summer school (which encourages all children to enjoy learning through interactive, consistent, and hands-on experiences), reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Megan is beginning to work one-on-one with children from 6 years old through middle school in her spare time who struggle with behavior, as well as helping support them by improving their reading, writing, vocabulary, and math skills. Megan believes that by building a solid relationship with her students, she can better meet their needs and grow their learning. My name is Sara. I am a lover of learning, an English teacher, and a mother of 4 little ones. As a classically trained educator, I have taught for the last 10 years in public and private schools. I have taught in every educational environment, and to students from grades pre-k through freshman in college. I am certified in Reading K-12, and in English 6-12. I have taught every level of English; grammar level math; and foundational Spanish and French.
In addition to speaking and reading Spanish academically, I have taught introductory Spanish and French to young children.
