Cameron W.
Cameron is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio, garnering a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. At the beginning of his undergraduate education in Psychology, Cameron rose to the roles of Research Assistant and Lab Manager in the Team on Acculturation, Risk, and the Development of Identity and Self (TARDIS) Lab. These roles involved not only data collection and management of local administrative operations but also the social awareness necessary to engage with topics such as identity-based marginalization and foster interdependent relationships with team members at all levels. As Lab Manager, he worked to centralize information and redesign organizational systems that improved collective understanding within the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Department of Psychology. Cameron continued these roles throughout their bachelor’s degree, adding positions as a Tutor and Student Administrative Assistant in UTSA’s Department of Biology, Health, and the Environment. In these roles, they utilized their in-depth knowledge of biological sciences and artistic skills to help peers achieve academic success. Throughout his undergraduate education, Cameron received awards and recognition from UTSA’s School of Art, contributing to efforts and exhibitions featured in the main gallery. Steven O.
Steven O. brings over 25 years of dedicated teaching experience to his role as a tutor, with a proven track record of helping students succeed in subjects including Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Social Studies, U.S. History, and World History. His journey into education began unexpectedly but meaningfully, leading to a rewarding career that culminated in his retirement from San Antonio College—where he spent decades inspiring and guiding students.

Hanieh R.
Hanieh R. Ph.D., is a highly experienced Biology Tutor and researcher with a strong academic background in medical biotechnology. She holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and has extensive experience in teaching, mentoring, and conducting research in molecular biology, genetics, and cell culture.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University, Dr. Rezaee has mentored undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques, experimental design, and data analysis. She has also assisted in teaching biology courses, including molecular biology and biotechnology, developing instructional materials to enhance student learning.
In addition to her academic teaching, Dr. Rezaee has worked as a private biology tutor since 2020, providing personalized instruction to high school and university students. She specializes in simplifying complex biological concepts, guiding students through problem-solving, and preparing them for exams and assignments.
Her expertise extends to research, with significant contributions in cell biology, stem cell research, and reproductive biology. She is proficient in molecular assays such as PCR and flow cytometry and has experience in experimental design and scientific writing.

Stephanie S.
Stephanie has been teaching for 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and is qualified to teach secondary school English, Visual Art and Drama, as well as all Primary subjects. She is also a qualified Guidance counsellor, and has her level 1 Principals’ Qualification. Stephanie has taught in Toronto, South America and England. She is very experienced working with children and young adults with a wide range of barriers to learning, including ASD, ADHD, specific learning difficulties, ESL, depression and anxiety.
Stephanie believes that every child has the potential for deep and meaningful learning. As a tutor, she tailors her lessons to her students’ interests, creating engaging lessons that help them overcome their academic challenges while meeting curriculum expectations. With her extensive teaching experience, she provides clear guidance on school assignments, helping students understand complex material and develop strong organizational and communication skills. She has particular expertise in teaching grammar. She is able to integrate art and technology into her instruction to enhance engagement and deepen comprehension.

Jonah W.
Jonah Weingart graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, and International Studies, earning High Honors and High Distinction. During his time at U of M, he was awarded multiple Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships by the U.S. Department of Education for advanced language and area studies. In addition to his academic achievements, Jonah dedicated his extracurricular time to tutoring and mentoring local students in the Ann Arbor area and engaging in language and cultural exchanges with international students at the Michigan Language Center. With many years of language tutoring experience, Jonah has taught in both 1:1 and classroom settings and has extensive experience working with adult ESL learners.
Jonah has always been passionate about languages and speaks Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish, and Portuguese. He has applied his language skills professionally, working with refugees and asylum seekers newly arrived in the United States. Jonah believes that language learning should be both fun and empowering, and through his work, he has witnessed the transformative impact it can have on individuals’ lives. In his free time, Jonah enjoys cooking, listening to music, and spending quality time with friends.

With a Ph.D. in Literacy and Curriculum Development from St. John’s University, he has a strong foundation in helping students enhance their reading and writing skills, improving literacy scores by up to 80% through targeted, evidence-based strategies. As a former ELA teacher and literacy coach, Dr. Downing is skilled in creating individualized learning plans that address each student’s unique needs, ensuring academic growth and confidence. His leadership as Executive Director of a college and career readiness institute further highlights his commitment to preparing students for long-term success, both academically and professionally. Dr. Downing is passionate about inspiring students to reach their highest potential.
Ian G.
After receiving Bachelor’s degrees in History and French in his home state of Arkansas, Ian moved to the Northeast to begin his professional career as an educator. While serving as a literacy coach in a public school in Washington, DC, Ian helped to integrate new strategies and hybridized learning amid the COVID lockdown. In the fall of 2021 Ian led a class of 5th graders in their transition back to in-person instruction after the shutdown. He served as a lead history and humanities teacher for two years before segueing into out-of-school time education. Ian helped to implement an afterschool program for students in Harlem, developing curriculum, and leading homework help and enrichment activities for participants. In total, Ian has over a decade of tutoring and education experience. Ian loves to inspire wonder in all of his students, and prioritizes an individualized approach to ensure all students get the education they deserve.
Michael N.
Michael is a patient and knowledgeable teacher, tutor for English, History, reading, writing, and test prep classes, with experience working with students of all levels of aptitude and academic interest. Born and raised in New York City, Michael is a product of its public schools system, and the later recipient of two Ivy League degrees, one from Cornell and the other from Columbia University. He’s worked for many years in both public and charter schools, teaching a diverse group of young learners, helping them to become stronger readers, writers, and critical thinkers. As a tutor, Michael has over ten years of experience working one-on-one with a vast array of clients, with ages ranging from pre-K to graduate school students and adult professionals. Cindy is an Ontario Certified Teacher and experienced tutor. She completed her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education with French and Music teaching qualifications at the Intermediate-Senior level at Queen’s University. Cindy teaches French at elementary and secondary levels and is a teacher with the school board. She believes literacy and the arts are an integral part of education and should be accessible as possible to every student. Cindy is currently taking IB training to qualify her to teach IB French. She enjoys working with students of all ages and understands that each student has their individual learning needs. Prior to her teaching career, Cindy has directed and run summer camps, taught swimming lessons & helped students prepare for SSATs.
