Airanee Galmon is a passionate tutor with a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s degree from Southern University and A&M College. Peter has a Master’s degree in Computational Physics from the University of Edinburgh. He has experience teaching physics and math to an undergraduate level through working as a teaching assistant during his studies. In addition, he has worked with secondary school students (grades 7–12) through one on one tutoring in mathematics.

Alongside his teaching background, Peter has a strong foundation in scientific computing and programming. He is highly experienced in coding and is able to teach Python to students interested in developing computational skills.

Roseanne Menezes is an OCT-certified teacher who has taught English, French, ESL, and Social Sciences to students of all ages, both in Canada and the United Kingdom. She’s passionate about making learning fun, approachable, and tailored to each student’s unique style—whether that means breaking down tricky grammar, sparking curiosity in history, or helping someone finally feel confident speaking French. Since 2017, Roseanne has also worked as a private tutor, supporting students and adult learners with personalized lessons that go beyond the classroom. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her planning her next adventure abroad, curled up with a good book, experimenting with new recipes, or tackling a new language for fun.

Coach Dave is a certified Executive Function Coach and licensed
Comprehensive Special Education Teacher with a speciality in literacy.

In his coaching role, Coach Dave provides support to help students improve
their working memory and overcome challenges like procrastination and
disorganization. By utilizing data-driven strategies, he reduces anxiety
and equips students with essential skills in time management,
prioritization, and effective study techniques that they can use in their
lives.

With his experience as a former Learning Support Teacher and Head of
Department at the Frankfurt International School, a teacher in New York and
Connecticut, Coach Dave has a proven track record in improving executive
functioning and literacy skills in students with all kinds of minds. He has
inspired educators at conferences across Europe and the USA, sharing
innovative co-teaching principles that foster inclusive classrooms.

For fun, Coach Dave loves athletics and the arts. He has appeared in
regional theater and coached Varsity Softball and Middle School Basketball,
which highlights his commitment to a well-rounded education.

Mae J.

Jiawen (Mae) J. is a graduate student in Education at the University of Pennsylvania with strong experience in tutoring and classroom teaching. She has taught Mandarin to youth learners in the U.S. and has delivered over 200 hours of personalized one-on-one lessons to international students. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Peking University, where she supported students in mastering complex concepts through interactive and engaging resources. Mae believes in creating individualized lessons that build student confidence and curiosity. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, playing the pipa, swimming, and traveling.

TASFIA A.

Tasfia is an experienced STEM tutor with over four years of tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, specializing in secondary and post-secondary mathematics and sciences. She has worked with more than 100 students across diverse curricula, including the Ontario curriculum, International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), Danforth’s MaST, and Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs. Her career spans community college systems and workforce development programs, where she has designed, delivered, and evaluated high-impact educational interventions across ESL, GED preparation, Special Education, and workforce training.
Above all, Mrs. Mary Keyes remains steadfast in her mission to break down barriers to education and empower every learner to reach their full potential.

GAVIN O.

Gavin graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in 2022 and a Master of Quantitative Finance degree in 2024. He completed his tutor training with the CRLA in 2019 while working as a full-time math tutor at Centennial College. Gavin has worked as a part-time tutor since 2022 and has worked with hundreds of students in grade levels ranging from elementary to high school to college-level math students, and has experience working with students with disabilities and who speak English as a second language. In addition to working as a private tutor, in 2022 Gavin worked as a teacher for Algorithmics Waterloo where he instructed students on math competitions, Grade 11 Functions and Python programming. Furthermore, he has contributed to artistic projects that use cartoons and illustration to make math concepts more intuitive and engaging.
