Brook L.

Brook L. is a certified teacher with a Master’s degree in Teaching and Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Humanities. She is a certified TESOL instructor, and accredited by the American Tap Dance Society.

She has 15 years of experience teaching English Language Arts (ELA). Six of those years were spent teaching middle-school English. In addition, she has worked as a technology instructor, theater director, International Baccalaureate Primary and Diploma instructor, an academic advisor, and an ESL tutor.

Brook’s strengths include grammar and punctuation, language proficiency, SAT and ACT test prep, and helping students embrace new reading-comprehension strategies rooted in the Science of Reading.

She also created a Girl, Awake! Project: a mentorship program that advocates for girls’ education.

When Brook is not teaching, tutoring, or writing YA and dystopian fiction, you’ll find her crocheting, reading, or walking her Golden Retriever pup: Salvador Doggie

Ann R.

Ann is a certified elementary and middle school teacher with more than 10 years of experience teaching in both the United States and Canada. While she has taught across subject areas, she specializes in developing reading and writing skills and integrating literacy across subjects. Ann holds a master’s degree in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University and a bachelor’s degree in English and Elementary Education from Western Washington University.

Ann is passionate about helping students understand how they learn best and tailoring instruction to their strengths. She is patient and highly communicative, explaining concepts in multiple ways to support understanding and retention. In both classroom and tutoring settings, Ann uses a range of resources, including structured practice, graphic organizers, and activity-based learning.

Wise W.

Wise is a BCBA and RBA with over five years of experience supporting children in both educational and therapeutic settings. She specializes in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), providing individualized support to help children develop communication, social, academic, and daily living skills.

Wise has experience working with students with a wide range of learning needs and focuses on creating structured, positive learning environments where children feel supported and motivated to learn. Her approach is compassionate and evidence-based, using ABA strategies to break down skills, reinforce progress, and help each child build confidence and independence.

She is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and works closely with families to support meaningful, lasting progress in children’s everyday lives.

Monika S.

Monika is an experienced educator and former high school Spanish teacher with more than 15 years of experience helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. She has also served as a College Readiness Coach, guiding students as they develop the skills and strategies needed to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.

Spanish was Monika’s first language, a result of growing up in a military family and experiencing a wide range of cultures from an early age. This background gives her not only strong language fluency but also meaningful cultural insight that she brings to every lesson, helping students connect more deeply with the language and its real-world context.

Monika is passionate about helping students experience those powerful “aha” moments when a concept finally clicks. She tailors each tutoring session to the individual student’s strengths and learning style, creating a supportive, engaging environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and grow in confidence.

Outside of education, Monika enjoys traveling, gardening, exploring new cultures and cuisines, and spending time outdoors with her husband, friends, and her dog.

Amber D.

Amber is passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills through compassionate, individualized support. She incorporates ABA-informed strategies into her work, using structured, evidence-based approaches to help children develop communication, behavioural, and everyday life skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Amber has been working in the childcare field since 2021 and holds a diploma in Child and Youth Care from Algonquin College, which she completed in 2020. Through her experience in childcare and ABA-based support, she has developed strong skills in working with children with a variety of learning and behavioural needs. Amber focuses on building strong relationships with the students she supports, using patience, encouragement, and structured strategies to help them succeed both academically and in everyday life.

Amber enjoys celebrating each child’s progress and takes pride in helping students reach their personal goals.

In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and partner, as well as her two dogs and one cat.

Cassandra S.

Cassandra is an executive functioning coach with years of experience working with children and students of all ages. She specializes in helping students develop the essential skills needed to succeed academically and personally. Cassandra understands that executive functioning skills are critical for managing school responsibilities, building independence, and developing confidence. Through individualized coaching, she supports students in strengthening areas such as goal setting, completing tasks, time management, organization and prioritization, focus, motivation, anxiety management, problem solving, and long-term success planning.

During sessions, Cassandra focuses on developing these skills through a variety of activities, templates, exercises, planners, and other practical tools. Her approach emphasizes hands-on strategies that help students tackle challenges in meaningful and manageable ways. She works with each student to create both short-term and long-term goals that are individualized based on where the student is in their academic and personal journey.

Cassandra’s approach is highly personalized and practical. She works closely with each student to understand their unique learning style, strengths, and challenges, and then introduces strategies and tools that help them stay organized, manage their workload, and follow through on responsibilities. She emphasizes building systems and habits that allow students to take ownership of their learning while developing skills that will support them throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Cassandra has extensive experience working with neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and learning disabilities. She understands the importance of adapting strategies to meet each student’s individual needs and creates supportive, structured, and engaging learning environments that foster growth and confidence.

Cassandra is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. She believes that with the right strategies and support, every student can learn to thrive. Her goal is to empower students to improve not only their academic performance but also to develop lifelong skills that support independence, resilience, and overall success.

Olivia O.

Olivia holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Studies and is currently working toward her certification with the Ontario College of Teachers. She has eight years of tutoring experience in both languages and math, and enjoys helping concepts truly “click” for her students.

Kylie S.

Kylie is an NYC-based tutor with nine years of experience working with students from 3rd grade through the undergraduate level. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, where she served as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate chemistry and public health courses, and she holds a Master of Health Sciences in Mental Health from Johns Hopkins. Her academic background informs her planned graduate training in clinical psychology, with a focus on child and adolescent development. Kylie completed the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and is particularly familiar with the demands of AP and IB coursework. She provides individualized instruction in elementary and middle school math and reading, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and Biology, and she supports students preparing for AP and IB exams as well as college applications and personal essays. Her teaching style emphasizes conceptual understanding, academic confidence, and tailored learning strategies that help students thrive in rigorous academic environments. Outside of tutoring, Kylie enjoys creating art, writing, and spending time with her rescue cat, Bear.

Manjot B.

ANNA C.

Anna C. is a dedicated educator based in Toronto with a strong commitment to supporting students’ academic development as well as their social and emotional growth. She has extensive experience working one-on-one with children from the early years through middle school, helping them strengthen their skills in reading, writing, vocabulary, and mathematics.

Her teaching approach combines structure, encouragement, and adaptability to create a supportive learning environment where students feel understood, motivated, and capable of achieving their goals.
Outside of her professional work, Anna maintains a strong interest in child development and continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and refine her teaching strategies in order to better support the diverse needs of the students she works with.
