Rebekah A.

Rebekah A. (she/they) is completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Villanova University. Her counseling background, combined with over a decade of experience working with children, make it easy to build strong bonds with each student that she tutors. As a counselor, Rebekah believes that the best changes happens when a student feels comfortable and safe in a learning environment, so her first priority is to cultivate a trusting relationship with each child and family. Parents appreciate her patience, kindness, and sincerity.

Rebekah’s diverse tutoring experiences make her an ideal fit for a wide range of families. Her years of experience tutoring students ages 7-22 make her perfect for families with multiple children in need of support, and Rebekah’s multidisciplinary expertise qualifies her to tutor in many subject areas, including languages, writing, math, biology, and chemistry. Most notably, Rebekah specializes in math support (4th grade-algebra 2) for students with math learning disorders (dyscalculia). She also has four years of experience as a professional writing tutor, assisting students of many ages to improve their writing in English, Spanish, and Italian.

Charlotte D. M.

Charlotte recently completed her French Concurrent Education degree in French Studies and French Education at Glendon College with York University. She is certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and brings a strong background in both French and English instruction. Her teaching journey has been shaped by a wide range of experiences, not only in the classroom, but also through one-on-one tutoring, summer camps, and various children and youth programs. These experiences have given her the opportunity to work with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, helping each one find confidence and joy in their learning journey.
Charlotte is passionate about language learning and deeply values the connections she builds with her students. Whether she’s teaching French grammar, exploring literature, or supporting language acquisition in a tutoring session, her focus is always on making learning engaging, accessible, and fun. She believes that students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for, and she strives to create that kind of environment every day.
Known for her creative and curious spirit, Charlotte spends her days outside of the classroom reading books, journaling, exploring nature, and tackling new DIY projects. These hobbies not only bring her joy but also inspire the creative energy she brings to her teaching practice. Above all, Charlotte is committed to lifelong learning and to helping others discover their own unique strengths as learners.

EMMA N.

Emma graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She is moving to Toronto this summer to start her Master’s in Translational Health Sciences at the University of Toronto. Emma started tutoring in 2020 as a summer school tutor for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board under the Focus On Youth Program. While with the WECDSB, she tutored students in grades 11 and 12 in math, Civics/careers, and an ESL (English as a second language) student in grade 11 English. She also gained ample experience tutoring students with learning disabilities, such as processing delays, and tutoring AP and IB courses. Emma enjoyed tutoring so much with WECDSB that she became a private tutor. Since then, she has specialized in tutoring high school and post-secondary students in math, chemistry, and biology. She tailors her lessons individually to each of her students and uses practical, real-life examples to explain concepts. Emma strives to instill the skills and confidence her students need to succeed, not just in the classroom but also in life. Emma enjoys watching anime, reading, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.

KRISTIN C.

Kristin is a dedicated and passionate Certified Ontario Teacher with over seven years of classroom teaching experience, along with several additional years of one-on-one and small-group tutoring. She specializes in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that support a wide range of learners. Kristin holds Additional Qualifications in Reading, Writing, Special Education, and Communication, which support her highly adaptable and student-centered approach to instruction.

Currently based in Clarkson, Ontario, Kristin is committed to lifelong learning and continuous professional growth. She has demonstrated consistent success in working with students who have diverse and complex learning needs, including those who require accommodations and individualized strategies to ensure both academic and personal development. Kristin is known for building strong, supportive relationships with students and families, and for implementing innovative, evidence-based teaching practices that foster both confidence and achievement.

Outside of her professional role, Kristin enjoys reading, practicing yoga, hiking, and spending quality time with her family. She deeply values the opportunity to inspire, guide, and support students in achieving their fullest potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Shin Hwa L.

Shin Hwa is a graduate of University of Toronto OISE. She has OCT qualification with the Primary/Junior division and RECE from College of Early Childhood Educators. She has multiple experiences in teaching students from different ages and had experience in the classroom.

Shin Hwa’s teaching philosophy revolves around inclusion and equity where all students should have the right to learn. Her strategies helped students to think and reflect about their learnings by applying connections.

Shin Hwa was born in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. She moved to British Columbia at an early age where she relocated to Ontario to further pursue her studies.

CASEY H.

Casey completed her Master of Arts in Child Study & Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (with High Distinction) in English and Drama from the University of Toronto. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher, qualified to teach in the Primary and Junior divisions. Casey has extensive experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners (ELL) and newcomers, through various roles as a tutor, mentor, and camp counsellor. She also completed practicum placements across Primary and Junior grades within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), where she taught literacy using UFLI resources, as well as math, health, and social studies. Casey is dedicated to creating inclusive, engaging, and student-centred learning environments by building strong relationships with students and using differentiated instruction to celebrate their strengths and meet their unique needs. She strives to connect learning to students’ interests and lived experiences, making it relevant, meaningful, and enjoyable to help every student succeed and develop a love for learning. In her spare time, Casey enjoys making music, playing video games, learning new languages, and exploring the city with friends and family.

Kathryn T.

Kathryn is a dynamic and empathetic Spanish teacher with extensive experience teaching and tutoring students from kindergarten through high school. Throughout her 32 years as a certified public school teacher in both CT and NJ, Kathryn has never met a student who couldn’t learn Spanish! Adept at breaking down complex language concepts into manageable chucks, Kathryn specializes in providing memorization and test-taking strategies to help eliminate frustration and facilitate academic success. Music and academic games are favorite teaching strategies which often elicit those magical “ah ha” moments on the faces of her students. As a lifelong Spanish learner herself – from a shy, beginning high school Spanish student to her years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras to recent travels in Spain and Mexico – Kathryn’s own journey inspires her students along their path to language learning success. At this point in her life, Kathryn is extremely excited to have recently made the move with her husband to Philly!!! Short term goals include climbing all of the Manayunk steps, finding that elusive perfect vegetarian pizza slice, and decorating her new home with Facebook Marketplace treasures.

Tiffany D.

Tiffany Delgado is a PA Certified ELA Teacher and PA Certified K-12 Reading Specialist. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degree at East Stroudsburg University, and is currently pursuing her PA Principal’s Certification. She has been an educator for 8 years, helping students of all ages foster a passion for reading and writing. Outside of academia, Tiffany enjoys traveling, surrounding herself with family and friends, and her 12 year old bull terrier, Lola.

Sadiq S.

Sadiq S. is a passionate mathematics educator with over nine years of experience teaching at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and a Master’s degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance from Boston College, credentials that underscore his analytical expertise and academic rigor.

Sadiq began his teaching career in middle school classrooms, where he spent two years cultivating engaging, age-appropriate methods to spark interest in mathematics. He then transitioned to high school, dedicating four years to deepening students’ mathematical understanding and preparing them for advanced study. He has taught at the college and graduate levels for the past three years, specializing in algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, general mathematics, and business mathematics.

His teaching philosophy centers on fostering supportive, inclusive learning environments where students build confidence through clarity, encouragement, and tailored instruction. Known for his ability to break down complex mathematical concepts into digestible components, Sadiq bridges the gap between theory and practice by tying lessons to real-world applications — an approach informed by his professional financial analysis and quantitative modeling background.

Outside the classroom, Sadiq finds balance through long walks in nature, swimming sessions, challenging hikes in the mountains, and quiet evenings at home with his mischievous cat, proving that even the most analytical minds need passion and relaxation to thrive.

MaatTchaas H.

MaatTchaas H. was born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and now resides in Kennesaw, Georgia. She holds a B.A. in Dance from SUNY–The College at Brockport and a Master’s degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6) from Long Island University. MaatTchaas is a certified special education teacher with over a decade of experience teaching students in Grades 1–10, and she has worked extensively as a SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Services) provider in New York City, delivering 1:1 and small group instruction to students with IEPs from kindergarten through 12th grade. She specializes in literacy, math intervention, and executive functioning, and is trained in Wilson Fundations, ReadyGen, Journeys, Eureka Math, Go Math, Zearn, and TC Reading and Writing Workshop. MaatTchaas is known for her calm, structured, and compassionate teaching style that builds both skills and confidence. Before transitioning into education, she was a professional dancer and is excited about returning to the studio. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, traveling, cooking, baking, listening to live music, and curling up with a good book.
