Jennifer C.
Jen graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education mathematics, and completed a Masters Degree in Online Teaching and Learning from Concordia University. Jen taught almost every subject available in high school mathematics and for the past two years tutors students preparing to take the SAT. She taught math for about 20 years! She is passionate about helping people and making meaningful connections that promote the desire for life long learning.
Outside of class, Jen works in Real Estate and has many hobbies including running, biking, swimming, lifting weights, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Michelle S.
Michelle is an energetic tutor with a wide array of experience and a fervor for teaching and learning. She grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and earned a double major in Philosophy and Medicine, Science, and the Humanities from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Currently, she is a first year medical student at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. With experience working as both an EMT and a tutor to many different kinds of students, she finds immense joy in helping others whether through the practice of medicine or by fostering a love for learning and personal growth. For Michelle, tutoring is not only about mastering material but about building confidence and a curiosity for the world around us; connecting with students is one of her favorite parts of tutoring, and she is always grateful for the opportunity to help a student find themselves and their interests. Michelle has experience working with age groups ranging from pre-k to university, and has enjoyed the unique aspects of working with every single age group. Throughout the years Michelle has taught math, English, and science, and she especially loves to teach chemistry and biology. Michelle loves to travel, especially countries in which she can practice languages she has studied in the past, such as Italian and French. In her free time, she works on her clinical research projects, plays volleyball, lifts weights, and experiments with cooking. She also loves spending time outdoors with Roxy, 2 year old puppy.

Shan has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, where he double majored in Population Health and Psychology. With a solid understanding of both science and human behavior, he enjoys helping students understand complex topics in a way that makes sense to them.
Having worked with students from elementary to high school, Shan knows how to break down lessons into easy-to-understand steps. He is patient, supportive, and always encourages students to ask questions and stay curious. His goal is to help students feel confident and capable in their studies.
When he’s not tutoring, Shan enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He values these moments and believes in the importance of a good work-life balance.

Hayley is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with a diverse range of teaching experience across various grade levels. Currently working at an independent IB school in Toronto, she is passionate about creating engaging, inquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. With a Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior, Hayley is skilled at designing hands-on lessons that cater to the individual needs of her students.
Her teaching experience spans a variety of settings, including Montessori classrooms and outdoor education programs, allowing her to bring a well-rounded and flexible approach to her work. With over 10 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator with the Toronto District School Board, I have dedicated my career to fostering a love of learning in young children. My passion for education led me back to school to earn my Bachelor of Education, and I am now a certified Primary/Junior teacher. While my heart is in Kindergarten, I truly enjoy working with students of all grade levels.
I believe that the early years are the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. As a lifelong learner myself, I understand the importance of patience, time, and individualized support—things I personally needed as a student. Every child learns differently, and it is our job as educators to adapt, be flexible, and meet students where they are. My name is Temitayo, and I am a native of Lagos, Nigeria. I migrated to the United States in pursuit of higher education and a better standard of living. After relocating to the United States, I acquired my bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism with my minor in Mathematics, from Dillard University in New Orleans. Additionally, I obtained a master’s degree in S.T.E.M. Education from Concordia University Nebraska in Seward. On a personal level, I believe that education is an indispensable aspect of human existence and, hence, a vital part of our infrastructure. Because of this principle that I have espoused, I have dedicated myself to the education of others, as a way of life.
Additionally, I enjoy sports, physical fitness exercises, fictional movies, cooking, learning new languages, reading books, as well as engaging in domestic chores. Furthermore, I have a proclivity for traveling to new places, as a means of territorial exploration. Indeed, education for me is more than an occupation; it is, in fact, my vocation. In conclusion, I intend to merge my Christian tenets with my educational practice, as I tutor my diverse clientele.
Hilary R.
Hilary completed her undergrad education at Western University, majoring in Psychology and Studio Art. She has always wanted to be a teacher, which she feels was a calling for her. She completed her Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University, specializing in Environmental Education and is currently working towards getting her Intermediate teachable in Phys-Ed. Through education and experience, Hilary infuses her teaching practice with passion, creativity, vibrant energy, and a deep sense of patience.
Hilary has worked in classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 7, with experience teaching internationally at a nature-based school in England for children aged 4 to 8. Both students and teachers can attest that Hilary left a positive mark on her classrooms in these practicums. She currently works as a middle school teacher in Toronto.
In addition to her teaching experience, Hilary has supported children and adults with disabilities, working in elderly care homes and as a disability support worker. Hilary is passionate about the arts and enjoys activities such as painting, pottery, and drawing. She also loves staying active, whether through running, walking, working out, or spending time outdoors.

Christy graduated with honors from Texas State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in middle school education. As a certified teacher for grades 4-8, she taught writing and mathematics in public school classrooms. After marrying her active-duty military husband, Christy continued to educate through private tutoring and substitute teaching at various duty stations nationwide. She has worked with ages Pre-K – 8th grade with extensive experience in improving students ability to understand and solve multistep and mathematical word problems.
For the past eight years, she has focused on raising her two children, with whom she loves to go on adventures. Christy enjoys exploring new playgrounds, restaurants, and theme parks with her family, as well as practicing yoga and Pilates for personal relaxation.
Jonas H.
Upon graduating from college, Jonas H. began teaching at the St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn, and has taught in the humanities for over 20 years. While he has taught middle schoolers and adults in a variety of settings, Mr. Hamilton has mostly worked in private secondary schools, offering classes in World History, U.S. History, and other subjects. He earned his B.A. at Harvard College, and later, two Masters Degrees (Arts, Philosophy) from Columbia University. Mr. Hamilton remains an enthusiastic student and teacher of history, a challenging, beautiful, and constantly evolving discipline. In his spare time, Mr. Hamilton cooks, reads novels, plays chess, and folds paper, especially the beautiful models of Hideo Komatsu.
