Clara R.

My name is Mrs. R! It’s good to meet you. I am an upcoming Primary/Junior teacher with three years of teaching experience.

I believe that every student holds unique inner worlds, and as an educator it is my mission to nurture these in every child I teach. Patience, determination, and confidence in the potential of every child to learn are the soil, sun and water guiding my work.

My favorite subjects to teach are English and Science, but nothing will ever beat the feeling I get when a child finally grasps that one Math problem that they never thought they’d understand. No matter what I teach, I always try to end my lessons with a smile for myself and my students.

I can’t wait to meet you and your precious little one! Hope to see you soon!

Michelle C.

Hi! My name is Michelle. I have over 10 years of experience working with children and youth in various roles, including as a teacher, tutor, and camp leader. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I feel like I’ve been teaching my whole life. As the second eldest of five siblings, I grew up helping my younger siblings with their homework and projects while also learning how to care for them. This early experience sparked my love for teaching and shaped my ability to support young learners—a role I still value today, as my siblings often come to me for résumé edits and life advice.

I am currently completing my Master of Teaching program at the University of Toronto and was honoured to receive the 2024 Don Galbraith Pre-service Science Teacher Award. Through my education and previous experiences, I have developed a strong belief in using research-based, student-centered approaches that prioritize students’ voice and agency. I focus on building trust and meaningful relationships with students, as I believe these are key to empowering them to reach their full potential.

Outside of teaching, I love working on DIY projects with my husband, thrifting and playing board games with my siblings, enjoying sushi with my best friend, and tackling escape rooms with friends.

I’m excited to get to know your child and support them on their learning journey. Thank you for trusting me to be part of their growth and development!
