Samira S.
Samira S. is a third year student at Western University completing an Honours Specialization in Biology. Passionate about pursuing medicine in the future, she combines her academic excellence with a deep curiosity for the human body and health sciences. With a 3.84 GPA, she has excelled in courses such as Biology 1001, Chemistry 1301, Calculus 1000, and Psychology 1002, demonstrating both analytical and problem solving strengths. Personally, Samira faced her own challenges during her first year as she learned to navigate university life and balance her responsibilities. Despite these struggles, she maintained a high GPA through determination and resilience. Now, in her third year, she has developed strong study strategies and time management skills, which allow her to perform confidently and efficiently in her coursework. Beyond academics, Samira is an active member of the Western community. She serves as an International Western Ambassador, helping students adjust to university life, and has held executive positions in several clubs, her personal favorites being the Women’s Health Research Association and the PCOS Awareness Club. These experiences reflect her commitment to women’s health advocacy and scientific research. Outside the classroom, Samira enjoys painting, fashion, makeup, and kickboxing, embracing confidence through creativity and self expression. Maria D.
Dr. Maria, Ph.D., LDT-C, OG-T, is a highly experienced educator, evaluator, and learning specialist with over 18 years of service in New Jersey’s public and private schools. She earned her Doctorate in Teaching, Learning, Leadership, and Curriculum from Montclair State University, where her research explored the connection between cognitive function and learning challenges. Maria also holds dual master’s degrees in Special Education and Reading Literacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education.
As a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C) and independent contractor, Maria partners with multiple school districts to provide comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, consultations, and individualized learning plans. She is a certified Orton-Gillingham Dyslexia Therapist and a Certified Clinician through the Center for Cognitive Enhancement (COGx), with advanced expertise in cognitive skills training, executive function development, and evidence-based literacy instruction.
Maria’s extensive background includes creating executive function curricula, coaching parents and teachers, and providing professional development workshops. Passionate and empathetic, she is committed to helping students reach their full potential through personalized, research-driven instruction.
Elias A.
Elias Allen graduated from the University of Oxford in 2017 with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He worked as an SAT prep teacher and tutor for AP US History, AP World History, and AP Literature in DC and Maryland from 2018 to 2019. Elias served as a Peace Corps TEFL Volunteer in Kosovo from 2019-2020 and from 2022-2023, teaching English to K-12 students. In 2020 and 2021 he worked as a tutor in Oregon for elementary and middle school students, tutoring English, reading comprehension, writing, math, and coding. In 2021 Elias taught English and critical thinking skills to students in Kosovo virtually in the Peace Corps Virtual Service Pilot Program. He graduated from Columbia University with an MA in 2025. In his free time Elias enjoys playing basketball, ping pong, and tennis.
DYNALEE H.
Dynalee H. has been teaching math in a high school setting for 7 years. She has a Master’s degree in Secondary Education grades 7th – 12th grade and majored in Mathematics. Dynalee has taught 7th grade, 8th grade, and Algebra 1 9th grade math for the Algebra 1 Regents Exam. She has continued her education and completed an Advanced STEM Certification Program. Dynalee takes pride in mathematics and is eager and happy to provide students around her with the skills they need to be successful.
Christopher S.
Christopher S. is a teacher candidate at Western University. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He later finished his Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo where he studied the application of the CRISPR system in insect cells. Throughout his academic career, Christopher had the chance to teach many first-year engineering students where he realized that he had a passion for science communication. Christopher specializes in helping students learn math and science, and encourages students to think about how these subjects can relate to their everyday lives.
Jennifer O.
Jennifer O. has over two years of experience as an Assistant Professor, teaching remotely in Calgary, Alberta, and more than twenty years of experience as an Educational Assistant in London, Ontario. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, where she published her capstone paper on inclusive education, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology.
Jennifer takes a friendly and down-to-earth approach to teaching. She loves helping students build confidence in their ideas, think critically about the world around them, and make real-life connections between learning and social issues. With a background in social justice and the social sciences, she enjoys supporting students in sociology, psychology, and related fields.
She is currently working on an educational book that combines personal stories with lessons from her work in education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors with her dog, cooking, and relaxing with a good show.
Caitlin C.
Caitlin is a certified teacher. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in English and a minor in both history and French. Caitlin completed her teaching placements in the Niagara Region, where she taught grade 10 English, grade 11 media studies, and grade 12 English. Caitlin has also done an internship with the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region. During her internship, she personalized bi-weekly lesson plans for a grade three student that would best support the student’s learning by incorporating the student’s interests and needs. In her free time, Caitlin likes to read, collect and organize Pokémon cards, and play cozy video games.
Caitlin believes that student-led learning leads to confident, capable, and inspired students. She also believes that students learn best when they are able to make choices and play an active role in their education. Caitlin is passionate about teaching her students and helping them succeed; she enjoys showing students that learning can be fun.
Pablo G.
Pablo is a native Spanish teacher. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training, making him the ideal choice for learning French and Spanish. Pablo is curious by nature, attentive, and quite adept at connecting with younger people. He recently arrived from France, where he spent two years of his life perfecting his French and working as a Spanish language assistant at a high school. In his free time, he loves spending hours reading novels, watching romantic films and preparing for his next half marathon.
James H.
James H. studied history as an undergraduate and graduate student, earning BA (Harvard College), MA, and MPhil degrees (Columbia University GSAS), with a focus on Medieval and Modern European History. Since then he has taught both World History and U.S. History, primarily in private secondary schools. He has also taught English as a Second Language, working with adult and younger students from a variety of different nationalities and backgrounds. Mr. Hamilton continues to be an avid reader of history, admiring and enjoying the works of Herodotus, Thucydides, Jacob Burckhardt, Simon Schama, Jill Lepore, and many other brilliant historians.

Jessica is a passionate and dedicated educator from Vidalia, Louisiana. Coming from humble beginnings in a small town, she moved to Baton Rouge in August 2024 to continue pursuing her lifelong calling in education. Jessica is also a proud mother of two, Caleb and Caleigh, who inspire her daily to make a lasting impact on the lives of her students. She believes that every child who enters her classroom or space deserves patience, encouragement, and the opportunity to thrive academically and personally.
Jessica Warner began her journey in education in 2018, and what started as an unexpected path quickly grew into her true purpose. She has experience teaching Science, Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Quest for Success, along with a strong background in English and History. She currently serves as an Algebra I teacher, where she helps students build confidence and mastery through individualized instruction and meaningful relationships.
Jessica is a proud graduate of Alcorn State University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and she also holds an Associate’s degree from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Her academic foundation and hands-on classroom experience allow her to connect with students at all levels and help them achieve lasting academic success.
