Rebecca V.
Rebecca Vogdanos is a licensed teacher holding professional education certifications in the states of Illinois and Florida. She earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University, and began teaching six years ago starting in Des Plaines, Illinois, and has been teaching in Sarasota County since August of 2024. Her love of education was realized in 2012 when her two children were little and she became involved in homeschooling cohorts in Chicago and neighboring suburbs. Shelby J.
Hi there! My name is Shelby, and I am a teacher candidate currently enrolled in my Bachelor of Education for Primary and Junior at Ontario Tech University. Before pursuing my passion for teaching, I completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Finance at Wilfrid Laurier University and worked for two years in corporate finance in Toronto. My experience in the corporate world has helped me develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I now bring into my teaching practice to support students in their learning journeys.
Throughout my education, I have completed a variety of Math courses, both in high school and university, which have provided me with a solid foundation of complex concepts, analytics and financial analysis (i.e. Data Management, Calculus, Algebra, Financial Math). Whether it’s helping students build their math skills, supporting their understanding of core concepts, or guiding them through challenging problems, I aim to make learning both engaging and effective.
Outside of my studies, I work as a Program Coordinator for an after-school daycare, where I get to create and execute interactive activities for children ages 4 to 12. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by playing soccer and volleyball in Whitby, as well as any reading I can fit into my schedule.
I look forward to helping you or your child succeed in their academics and reach their full potential!
