Tracey K.

Hello! My name is Tracey and I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I am currently in my final year of the Concurrent Bachelor of Education (BEd) program at York University, specializing in Primary/Junior Education (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6). I also hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, which has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and develop. This knowledge allows me to apply psychological principles to teaching, ensuring that each child receives individualized strategies that suit their learning style.
In addition to my studies, I work as a supply teacher and have extensive experience tutoring students in a variety of subjects. I am confident in teaching all subjects from JK to Grade 6, with a particular specialization in French. Having attended a French school my entire life and currently supplying in French classrooms, I bring a strong foundation in language learning and can help students develop both their written and oral French skills with confidence.
I believe that every child learns differently, and my background in psychology helps me identify their unique strengths while addressing areas that need improvement. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and tailored to each student’s needs.

Michele T.

Michele Taylor holds a BS in Psychology and a MSEd with a focus in Elementary Education. She is a Certified Teacher, ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Specialist, and a Certified Behavior Analyst. Michele’s experience spans many successful years as a classroom teacher, an Adjunct Instructor at a local college, leading a special education department, and working as a Mental Health Therapist. With this strong background, Michele brings both expertise and empathy to her work, creating individualized learning plans that meet students where they are and guide them toward success.

Michele believes that every child can thrive with the right support, and she is passionate about building confidence as much as academic skills. Parents appreciate her patient, encouraging approach and her ability to make learning engaging while addressing each student’s unique needs. Her experience working with diverse learners helps families feel confident that their child will be understood, supported, and challenged in the right ways.

Outside of tutoring, Michele loves watching her son play lacrosse, catching beach sunsets, and spending quality time with her fur babies.

Suganya T.

Suganya is a Tamil-Canadian Woman who is certified to teach from K – 6, she completed her undergraduate degree at Ontario Tech University (formerly known as University of Ontario Institute of Technology) in Legal Studies and minored in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Education at Ottawa University. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and has completed some additional qualifications, such as Part 1 AQ in Special Education.

In her downtime, Suganya loves to read, listen to music, kickbox, and take leisure walks

Dominick L.

Dominick completed his postgraduate Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching at The University of the West of Scotland, where he gained hands-on classroom experience as a student teacher across a range of primary levels in Scottish schools. Prior to this, he earned an Honours Specialization degree in Sociology from The University of Western Ontario. With over a year of tutoring experience, Dominick has successfully supported students from Grade 1 through to university level, tailoring his approach to each learner’s unique needs and goals. He has also worked as an Early Childhood Educator, where he provided inclusive, nurturing support for young learners, and as a university exam proctor, ensuring fairness and integrity during assessments. Dominick brings a calm, patient presence to his sessions, drawing on a wide range of strategies to build students’ confidence and academic skills. Outside of teaching, he enjoys hockey, basketball, and other sports, as well as movies, television, and collecting hobbies.

 

 

 

 

Matthew A.

Matthew is currently completing his Master of Teaching Degree at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, which will qualify him to teach Kindergarten through Grade 6. He is passionate about teaching, creating and learning alongside his students. Matthew is passionate about the field of education as it enables him to grow personally and professionally by applying a variety of strategies and supports that will help students thrive inside and outside of the classroom. Matthew’s extensive experience volunteering and student teaching in classrooms with diverse learning styles and needs has provided him with numerous opportunities to implement a variety of tools and resources to support students both in the classroom and at home. He strongly believes in the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and trustworthy learning environments for students and their families. Fostering positive learning spaces is especially important to him, as it ensures that all students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to participate actively in their education alongside their teachers and peers.

Bobbi-Jo M.

Bobbi-Jo has master degree in childhood education and has worked in the education field for 17 years.

She has extensive background in special education and has taught all grades from k-8.

ERIN S.

Erin S. is a strategic and compassionate educator with more than 30 years of teaching and consulting experience across independent schools, summer programs, and private practice. She earned her B.A. in Elementary Education and Art History from Manhattanville College and holds both a Connecticut Initial Educator Certificate (Elementary 1–6) and a New Jersey Standard Certificate (Elementary N–8).

Erin has taught a wide range of grade levels, from early childhood through high school and college, with extensive experience in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning. She began her career teaching at Palmer-Trinity School in Miami before moving on to King & Low-Heywood Thomas School, The Pingry School, and public school settings. She has also served as an English teacher at Westhill High School and as a Sixth Grade Math/ELA teacher at the Horizons Summer Program.

In addition to her classroom roles, Erin has worked as a private educator and educational consultant, designing individualized learning plans, supporting students with ADHD and anxiety, creating curricula, and advocating for accommodations in partnership with schools. She also served as Associate Director of Admissions at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, where she led preschool, kindergarten and Elementary enrollment initiatives.

Known for her joyful, engaging approach, Erin specializes in early literacy, executive functioning coaching, Math, test taking strategies, social-emotional learning, and enrichment for advanced learners. She is dedicated to meeting each student’s unique needs and fostering both academic growth and confidence.

Terri K.

Terri is an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certified primary and junior teacher with over a decade of formal teaching experience. She has taught in various settings, including private schools in Oakville and American schools in both Monterrey, Mexico, and Tokyo, Japan. Currently, she works at a private learning clinic in Clarksburg, Ontario, providing intensive one-on-one remediation in reading and spelling.

While certified in the primary and junior divisions, Terri enjoys teaching students of all ages, including adults. She specializes in reading and writing instruction, and has trained other educators in building effective writing programs. What Terri loves most about teaching and tutoring is guiding learners as they overcome challenges. She is passionate about helping students recognize their own capabilities and build confidence as a result.

Terri holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and a
Master of Science in Education from the State University of New York.

Outside of educational settings, Terri enjoys spending time with her large family and friends, attending live music events, paddle boarding, hiking, and practicing yoga. She takes any chance she gets to be on the water. A mother of three sons, she jokes that they would all rather be skiing than going to school!

Bonnie D.

My name is Bonnie, and I am an experienced educator with over 10 years of service in the Peel District School Board. Throughout my career in primary and junior schools, I have gained a strong understanding of student needs and developed the ability to adapt my teaching methods to support diverse learning styles.

With a passion for fostering both academic growth and confidence, I have also worked extensively as a tutor, providing personalized support to help students succeed inside and outside the classroom. I am dedicated to creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment and remain committed to inspiring students on their educational journeys.

Leah G.

Leah is a certified Reading Specialist, graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Reading/Writing/Literacy. For over a decade, Leah has worked with mixed-age and mixed-ability youth across the world including Pennsylvania, Colombia, and India. Whether in the classroom or after school, Leah is seriously silly and loves bringing an artful approach to literacy with her early elementary kiddos. In her spare time, Leah reads way too much fiction,  plays way too much with her dog named Zorra, and eats way too much pie.
