Aliya R.
EN: Aliya is the administrator and a tutor at Maison d’Étude Academy. She completed her high school and pre-university studies at Lower Canada College and graduated from McGill University in 2024. With over eight years of tutoring experience, she has supported students of all ages and academic levels across a wide range of subjects.
In addition to tutoring, Aliya oversees client bookings, tutor coordination, and hiring, working closely with students, families, and tutors to ensure everything runs smoothly and that our families feel well supported. She is passionate about personalized education and helping students build confidence, strong study habits, and the skills needed for long-term academic success.

Elle a suivi ses études secondaires et pré-universitaires au Lower Canada College et a obtenu son diplôme de l’université McGill en 2024. Forte de plus de huit ans d’expérience dans le domaine du soutien scolaire, elle a accompagné des élèves de tous âges et de tous niveaux scolaires dans un large éventail de matières.
En plus de son rôle de tutrice, Aliya est responsable de la gestion des inscriptions, de la coordination des tuteurs et du recrutement. Elle travaille en étroite collaboration avec les élèves, les familles et les tuteurs afin d’assurer un accompagnement de qualité et une expérience harmonieuse pour tous. Elle est passionnée par l’enseignement personnalisé et s’attache à aider les élèves à développer leur confiance en eux, de solides habitudes de travail et les compétences nécessaires à leur réussite scolaire à long terme.
Mia D.
EN: Mia is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Educational Psychology at McGill University. She was on the debate team for seven years while in CEGEP and high school and has since continued as a coach. Mia has worked with kids for over three years and her favorite part of teaching is seeing hard work pay off for her students!
FR: Mia poursuit actuellement un baccalauréat en sociologie avec une mineure en psychologie de l’éducation à l’Université McGill. Elle a fait partie d’une équipe de débat pendant sept ans au secondaire et au cégep, et poursuit aujourd’hui cette passion en tant qu’entraîneuse.
Mia travaille auprès des jeunes depuis plus de trois ans, et ce qu’elle préfère dans l’enseignement est de voir les efforts de ses élèves porter leurs fruits. Elle est passionnée par l’accompagnement des élèves dans leur parcours d’apprentissage et leur réussite.
KERRY S.
Kerry is a certified teacher specializing in early childhood. She has 15 years of teaching experience in both New York City private schools and Fairfield, CT. In addition to her classroom experiences, Kerry has tutored many students of various ages. Her tutoring experiences include ERB preparation, phonemic and phonological reading skills, kindergarten readiness, preschool enrichment, and supplemental instruction for homeschooled children.
Kerry earned a B.S. in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and a M.A. in Elementary Education from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. She is certified to teach students in preschool through 6th grade. In addition, Kerry is also trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach and Learning Without Tears. These two programs have benefited her greatly throughout her teaching career.
Volunteer work is also important to Kerry. She currently runs a 4th grade Odyssey Of The Mindteam, which is an international STEAM- based academic program. She leads a Daisy troop and a Girl Scout troop, as well as running a camp program for St. Pius X in Fairfield, Connecticut.
