Khizer M. graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, specializing in process control and advanced modelling techniques. With a strong academic background in mathematics and science, Khizer specializes in tutoring subjects such as algebra, calculus, chemistry, and thermodynamics. Marlee S. has a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in English Literature and Creative Writing from Susquehanna University. Wanting to be an author, she has been writing from the time she was young. This passion caused her to pursue literature and writing both in higher education. During and after college, she has tutored both high school students and college students in essay-writing, even helping college applicants to write their admissions essay. Currently, she is substitute teaching in Manatee County while pursuing a career in teaching English. In her free time, Marlee likes to read, work on her novel, watch anime with her brother, and beat her parents at pickleball.

Ethan S.

Ethan S. is a third-year student at the Ivey Business School. He completed his first two years in the BMOS–Finance program with a 4.0 GPA, building a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem solving. Over the past few years, he has worked as a tutor helping high school students in math and science, focusing on adapting lessons to each student’s unique learning style and helping them build confidence in the material. This summer, Ethan will be working as a Financial Analyst at Magna International. Ariel L.

Ariel is a highly accomplished STEM educator with an advanced academic background and a passion for helping students succeed in challenging subjects. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where her research focuses on cutting-edge topics in cancer immunology and cellular biology.

She has worked as the Director of the French program in a well-known tutoring center for two years and has been giving private lessons (french) to elementary, high school, cegep and adult students for over 10 years.

Jacqueline is an experienced tutor with a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. She has several years of experience tutoring Science, Math, and English to students from Grades 3 to 12, as well as high school Biology and Chemistry across both the OSSD and IB curricula. Jacqueline is passionate about teaching and helping students build confidence in their learning while developing independence in problem-solving.

An enthusiastic lifelong learner, she has studied music, French, Spanish, and German, giving her insight into the challenges of mastering new material and enabling her to teach students effective strategies for learning across disciplines. Outside of tutoring, Jacqueline is a dedicated piano teacher and piano teacher who enjoys making music and practicing languages in her spare time.

MEGAN F.

Megan is a dedicated mathematics educator with over two decades of experience teaching at both high school and university levels. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in Mathematics, including a Master’s degree from Memorial University. In addition to her academic career, she brings professional experience in finance and data analysis, allowing her to connect mathematical theory to real-world applications.

Throughout her career, she has supported undergraduate students as a Teaching Assistant, authored a book in Calculus, and published a research paper in Graph Theory.

She sees teaching as a mutual journey, where students also have valuable insights to share—one of the reasons she truly loves teaching. Miranda D.

Miranda is a graduate student with a strong foundation in health sciences, research, and student mentorship. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and was placed on the Dean’s Honour List, which recognizes undergraduate students with exceptional academic records.

In her undergraduate studies, Miranda held leadership roles as President of Chess and Health, a non-profit organization using chess to promote cognitive benefits in children and older adults, and as Co-President of the Global Society of Genetics and Genome Biology, an organization dedicated to advancing research for genetic disorders. She has also worked as a research assistant in the Walia Lab, studying how the immune system responds to gene-based treatments for cerebral creatine deficiency syndromes.

Miranda is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at the Robarts Research Institute in London, Ontario, focusing on blood-based biomarkers and neurotoxic protein clearance in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. She is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for MEDSCI 3990, a hands-on laboratory course. Daniella is a dedicated healthcare professional who holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Theodore F.

Since 2018, Theodore has been a Communications and Liberal Arts professor at Georgian College. He came into that role with a background in information science, article editing, and years of experience providing remedial and enrichment support as a tutor and learning skills assistant.
