Humza

Humza is graduating from McGill University this year with a BSc in Microbiology & Immunology. He will be continuing his education in the same field by beginning his PhD in September at McGill. Humza has been teaching and coaching students for over five years. As a youth, he was an award-winning competitive athlete in Track & Field for fifteen years. Additionally, Humza enjoys rock climbing, board gaming, and is passionate about space exploration.

Beverlyn J.

Beverlyne J. is a mathematics and chemistry educator from Kenya.

As a child, Beverlyne had a strong interest in problem-solving and science, which led her to study higher math and chemistry and pursue a career in teaching and research.

She received her B.Ed. in Mathematics and Chemistry and her MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nairobi, in Kenya. She did her postgraduate studies at Uppsala University in Sweden.

She has taught math and chemistry at several different levels: lecturing at the University of Nairobi, serving as the head of the Mathematics Department at the Jaffery Academy (Nairobi), and working as a lecturer/tutor for private clients.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing badminton, conducting research in mathematical modeling, and mentoring young scholars in STEM.

Her goal is to make mathematics meaningful and accessible, and help students build the confidence and critical-thinking skills that apply outside the classroom.

Muskaan T.

Hi, I’m Muskaan, a graduate student in Bioengineering at Rice University with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. With over five years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the opportunity to guide high school, undergraduate, and graduate students through subjects such as organic chemistry, biology, genetics, calculus, biostatistics etc. My teaching philosophy centers on turning complex topics into clear, engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world applications. Beyond tutoring, my professional experience spans both academic research and clinical practice from analyzing genetic risk factors for cardiovascular disease as a Graduate Researcher at UTHealth Houston, to assisting with pain management and pediatric clinics. Marah is a McGill University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and eight years of tutoring experience. She offers support in mathematics and science subjects, including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, and general Science, helping students strengthen their understanding and improve performance.

Her tutoring career began at John Abbott College where professors recognized her academic excellence and recommended her to assist other students. She was later officially hired by the college to tutor math, chemistry, and physics, gaining two years of daily hands-on experience with students. Since then, she has continued tutoring independently, working with learners across different academic levels and consistently receiving very positive feedback.

Marah is known for her clarity, patience, and ability to explain difficult concepts in simple, practical ways. Seth recently completed his Master of Public Policy degree from McGill University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. With a strong foundation in both STEM and the social sciences, he brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his teaching.

His approach to learning is inspired by his motivation to connect theory and learning from the classroom to real-world problems and situations to make learning both engaging and relevant. Seth is comfortable teaching elementary and high-school subjects with particular expertise in chemistry, physics, mathematics, social studies, and the general sciences.

His teaching philosophy focuses on fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment where students can learn to take initiative, think critically, and develop a genuine pride in their learning. He hopes to equip students with the proper skills to both excel academically and prepare for success beyond the classroom.

Isabel E.

Isabel is a dedicated and dynamic tutor with a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping students to thrive. She holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, where she completed an interdisciplinary and bilingual program based in both the sciences and the humanities. As such, Isabel was able to build wide-ranging knowledge across multiple subjects, fostering an inter-connected academic skillset. In addition to her academic success, Isabel has completed tutoring training and gained extensive experience through one-on-one instruction. Madeleine A.

Madeleine is a graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and environment. Although biology, math, and chemistry are her main areas of interest, she is passionate about all branches of science. Over the past two years, she has conducted research in the McGill Biology Department and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Dean’s Multidisciplinary Research Award. In addition to her research, Madeleine has taught coding to graduate students through the Geography Department at McGill. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Madeleine is extremely well-organized and dedicated to helping students develop successful long-term organizational skills. She also brings valuable experience with the university application process and, as the former president of a McGill student club, is well-equipped to support students planning for higher education. Madeleine’s interests include volleyball, guitar, and sharks. Overall, Madeleine can provide well-rounded, interesting lessons that position students for long-term success because of her passion for math and science, as well as her excellent organizational abilities.

Linnea D.

Linnea Dolph is a trained organic chemist with a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis (2025) and a B.A. in Chemistry from Grinnell College (2017). With over seven years of teaching and tutoring experience, she is passionate about making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for diverse learners. A Chicagoland native, Linnea has lived and worked across the United States, enriching her approach to science and education through a broad range of experiences. Outside the lab and classroom, she enjoys rock climbing, reading speculative fiction, playing video games, and spending time with her two cats.

Jaden A.

Jaden graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in French. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work on research in a chemistry lab during a five-month study abroad in Strasbourg, France. Jaden has worked in teaching roles for children all her life, and she’s spent the 24-25 school year teaching middle school science; She helped further develop the curricula and increased the emphasis on laboratory experiments each class, convicted to teach through hands-on experience. Since her teaching experience, she has transitioned to tutoring and substitute teaching. She has experience tutoring middle school and high school science and math, and welcomes students with diverse backgrounds and educational experiences. Whether she is teaching horseback riding or forces and work, Jaden believes that allowing students to forge their own way to understanding Nature’s laws helps them develop confidence and fires their curiosity.
