Maximillian H.

Maximillian (“Maxx”) is an accomplished mathematician, physicist, and educator with more than a decade of tutoring experience helping students develop confidence and mastery in mathematics and physics. A Texas native, Maxx earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Physics, graduating Cum Laude from Washington State University, where he quickly discovered his passion for teaching while working in the university’s Mathematics Department.

During his time at Washington State, Maxx served as a teaching assistant, mathematics tutor, and Calculus II laboratory instructor, supporting students in subjects ranging from foundational algebra through advanced calculus, differential equations, and business mathematics. His experience teaching college-level mathematics gives him exceptional insight into helping students build strong conceptual understanding while preparing for higher-level coursework.

After returning to Texas, Maxx began his career as a research scientist supporting the United States Air Force, where he has spent several years developing simulations, conducting physics and vision science research, designing laboratory experiments, and writing software in Python and other programming languages. His work has earned multiple professional recognitions, including nominations for SAIC’s prestigious Rising Star Award, and he has co-authored peer-reviewed scientific publications in applied physics and human performance research.

Maxx specializes in mathematics and physics instruction from middle school through college, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I-III, Statistics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics, Computer Science, Business Math, and college mathematics courses. Nour

FR: Nour a complété toutes ses études à Montréal et est très familière avec le système d’éducation québécois. Elle a gradué première de son école au primaire et au secondaire, et a été championne de son école trois années d’affilée au concours de mathématiques de l’Université de Waterloo. Lauréate de la bourse d’excellence Desjardins en Sciences de la nature au Cégep Bois-de-Boulogne ainsi que de la Médaille académique du Gouverneur général (bronze), elle a obtenu la cote R la plus élevée de sa cohorte. Nour étudie actuellement en médecine à l’McGill University.

EN: Nour completed all of her studies in Montreal and is very familiar with the Quebec education system. She graduated first in her class in both elementary and high school and was her school’s champion in the University of Waterloo Mathematics Competition for three consecutive years. A recipient of the Desjardins Excellence Scholarship in Natural Sciences at CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne and the Governor General’s Special Bronze Academic Medal, she achieved the highest R-score in her cohort. Nour is currently studying medicine at McGill University.

Eduardo R.

Eduardo graduated from Columbia University as a premedical student with a major in Biology and a minor in Classics (Latin). Eduardo has taught as an elementary school teacher for the past 5 years in NYC charter schools, equipped with a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.). He specializes in tutoring math classes—from elementary level math to Algebra to AP Calculus—and science classes such as biology, chemistry, and physics. He has also worked with students on standardized test preparation such as the DSAT, ACT, SHSAT, ISEE, and AP Exams. Eduardo has written detailed answers and explanations for over 50 DSAT and ACT tests. He has extensive experience tutoring and teaching, whether it is done one-on-one in person, online remotely, or with small classrooms of students.
During his free time, Eduardo loves to run, bike, and play tennis. He has worked as a tennis coach for elementary and high school students. NIMA S.

Nima holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and brings over five years of tutoring experience to his students. Nima’s approach focuses on building both understanding and confidence. He tailors lessons to each student’s learning style, ensuring that complex concepts are made accessible and engaging. Tim G.

Tim G. has extensive experience in math and science, graduating with a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Riverside where he conducted research in galaxy evolution using the world’s premier ground and space-based telescopes. During his studies, Tim also discovered and nurtured his passion for teaching and mentoring while instructing numerous introductory physics and astronomy courses over a 5.5-year period as an award-winning Teaching Assistant (TA). Educating students with a wide range of skills, backgrounds, and interest in STEM, and majors ranging from liberal arts to engineering, Tim approached each student with engaging energy, adaptability to meet their needs, and patience, whether in class or one-on-one during office hours. Beyond simply teaching the material, Tim focused on building students’ critical-thinking skills and problem-solving abilities as well as on fostering an appreciation of the material by connecting it to real-world scenarios. Tim also sought to build positive relationships by being a mentor in addition to a teacher, leveraging his experiences to help students with questions regarding college and beyond. Antonio V.

Antonio is a physics graduate with a minor in computer science and extensive tutoring experience with students from elementary school through college. Antonio has provided both one-on-one and group tutoring in math (from pre-algebra through differential equations), physics (including AP Physics), computer programming, and data analysis. At UTSA, he also served as a MATLAB Tutor and a Thermal Physics Reader/Grader, supporting students with debugging, interpreting data, and building confidence in rigorous technical courses.

Mark B has a PhD in Mathematical Physics.
He has been tutoring all levels of math and physiics for about 30 years. The last five years he has been teaching math and physics in high schools.
Mark is very particular about proving everything in both math and physics from the ground up. If necessary he will go back to the level that the students is familiar with and build from there to make sure that the students understands every step.
He also likes to make the student figure out possible next steps in how to achieve a better understanding.
When it comes to problem solving in both math and physics, Mark likes the student to give examples for the basic problems, with input from the student, but then encourage the student to try without help as much as possible, before showing the solution.
