Presently, Nima serves as an engineering instructor at John Abbott College in Montreal, where he teaches courses including Industrial Energy Audit, Advanced Engineering Technologies, Automation & Control, Physics, and Materials Science. His teaching methodology emphasizes the integration of theoretical concepts with practical applications, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for his students Nima has extensive research experience, notably developing an electro-thermal anti-icing system for aircraft at Green SEAM. This innovation achieved an 80% reduction in energy consumption while enhancing in-flight safety. FR. Nima est un ingénieur distingué avec une profonde passion pour l’enseignement et la recherche. Il détient une maîtrise en génie mécanique de l’Université Concordia, à Montréal, et une maîtrise en génie automobile de l’Université Azad. Tout au long de sa carrière, Nima s’est engagé à faire progresser l’éducation en ingénierie et à mener des recherches impactantes. Aude L.

Aude is currently in her first undergraduate year in the honours physics program at McGill University. She graduated from Champlain Ste-Lawrence CEGEP on the Dean’s list in 2023 with a degree in pure and applied sciences. She was awarded the Governor General’s medal for her high school journey. She has tutored students from kindergarten all the way to CEGEP for over two years in English as well as in French. She is passionate about science, especially regarding space and the early mysteries of our universe. You can often find Aude looking up at the sky, eager to identify constellations and planets in the sky. She also loves art, music and any winter sport.

FR: Aude est dans sa première année d’études dans le programme « Honours Physics » de l’université Mcgill. Elle a gradué du programme des sciences pures et appliquées du CEGEP Champlain Ste-Lawrence sur la liste d’honneurs en 2023. Elle a également reçu la médaille du gouverneur général pour son parcours académique au secondaire. Elle a travaillé comme tuteur depuis plus de deux ans auprès d’élèves d’âge primaire jusqu’au CEGEP en anglais ainsi qu’en français. Elle est passionnée de sciences surtout de sujets traitant de l’espace et des grands mystères des débuts de l’univers. Vous pouvez la trouver la tête axée vers le ciel, identifiant les astres qui nous entourent. Elle est une grande amateure d’art et de musique et pratique plusieurs sports d’hiver.

Haisam Z.

Haisam is an Ontario Certified Teacher. He grew up in the Middle East, and moved to Canada when he was 14. He completed his schooling and attained his Bachelors of Science and Education from Western University and U of T in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He is confident that he has the skills and qualifications as well as the passion to work with high school students. Having worked as a high school teacher since 2016, from private schools such as Blyth Academy and Burlington Royal Arts Academy, and several international high schools while abroad in the U.K., followed by securing a position as a teacher within the York Region and Simcoe County district school boards where he works currently, Haisam feels that his past work experience would make him an ideal candidate to provide one on one instruction as a high school tutor. Haisam has continually tutored high schoolers which has further helped him realize the beauty of inspiring and motivating others to be the best they can be, and it has convinced him that the teaching profession is his passion. As a teacher, Haisam seeks to ignite the passion and innate curiosity within the students to want to learn by instilling within them the desire for self-discovery. Once instilled and the interest is developed, he guides and facilitates the students’ personal journey of self-discovery. This passion is what would drive them towards an enduring learning experience. Furthermore, he’s a firm believer in developing a rapport with students to make every moment of their time during his teaching as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Haisam is also an avid fan and practitioner of several sports such as amateur wrestling, boxing, mixed martial arts, track and field, and badminton.  As a tutor, Haisam can help students ace their performance in sciences and mathematics, and also help them be better athletes as a bonus! Christian a travaillé en tant qu’ingénieur professionnel et a principalement travaillé dans le domaine des technologies de l’information (IT). Il est passionné par les mathématiques, la physique et les sciences. Christian est motivé pour partager son expérience et sa passion avec les autres. Il a de l’expérience en matière de tutorat pour aider les jeunes en mathématiques.

EN: Christian has an MBA and an Engineering degree. He has experience tutoring students both online and in-person. Christian has worked as a professional engineer and has mainly worked in Information Technology (IT). He is passionate about mathematics, physics, and sciences. Christian is motivated to share his experience and passion with others. He has tutoring experience helping youth with mathematics.

Ashley A.

Ashley Aemisegger has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She is currently in a Master’s degree program in secondary education at Grand Canyon University (Arizona) with a focus in STEM.

Ashley has extensive experience tutoring high-school students in physics, chemistry, calculus, and algebra, and prides herself on adjusting her instruction to meet each student’s needs.

Growing up in the military gave Ashley a unique appreciation for different cultures and experiences. Today, Ashley spends much of her time in England and adores travel.

In her free time, Ashley loves reading fantasy novels with one of her cats curled up on her lap.

Shivani J.

Shivani Jain is passionate about helping students excel in math and science. She has 13 years of experience working with middle-school, high-school, and college students.

Shivani has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in math, physics, and chemistry — as well as a master’s degree in International Business.

She is an ideal math tutor for students in algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, calculus (1, 2, AP, AB, and BC), physics, and chemistry. In addition, Shivani thrives on helping middle- and high-school students prepare for Mathcounts and AMC 8/10 competitions.

The belief that everyone has the potential to excel in math and science is what drives Shivani’s dedication to helping her students reach their full potential.

In her spare time, Shivani likes to go out on walks, hikes, enjoy nature, dance, and cook.

Lee Hyatt has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Furman University and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Engineering Education from Purdue University. Lee has 7 years of teaching experience teaching in both boarding school and day school environments. He has taught AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, College Preparatory Physics, Honors Physics, and College Preparatory Chemistry plus other project based engineering courses. Lee has been tutoring in Physics since his Sophomore year in college and loves to work with students one-on-one. He tries to use as many simulations and metaphors as possible to simplify the conceptual understanding to assist with the understanding of equations. Lee lives in Danbury, CT enjoys Formula 1, running, cycling, and hiking.
