Gareth A.

Gareth has a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science and a minor in Mathematics from McGill University. Gareth has tutored in many subjects, but specializes in high school science and math. Gareth’s approach to tutoring is to create an individualized experience and adapt to the students’ needs, and to try to find a good balance between going through concepts and homework problems to keep the sessions varied and engaging.

LEE H.

Lee Hyatt has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Furman University and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Engineering Education from Purdue University. Lee has 7 years of teaching experience teaching in both boarding school and day school environments. He has taught AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, College Preparatory Physics, Honors Physics, and College Preparatory Chemistry plus other project based engineering courses. Lee has been tutoring in Physics since his Sophomore year in college and loves to work with students one-on-one. He tries to use as many simulations and metaphors as possible to simplify the conceptual understanding to assist with the understanding of equations. Lee lives in Danbury, CT enjoys Formula 1, running, cycling, and hiking.

 

GHADA N.

Ghada has a Ph.D in Science Education and a master’s degree in Physics and has been teaching for 15 years. She has taught AP Physics with calculus,  post AP Introduction to Modern Physics, Regents physics, honors pre-calculus, and Experimental Physics at the high school level and algebra-based introductory physics courses at the college level. Ghada enjoys working with students of all ages and looks forward to supporting their work in the sciences.
