Michael R.

Michael is a Business and Economics educator and award- winning DECA advisor with a passion for helping students develop real-world business skills and confidence. He earned undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science and is completing a Master of Education in Education Technology and Instructional Design. Michael has taught numerous business and economics courses, including AP Economics, Accounting, and foundational business classes. He also founded a nationally recognized DECA chapter, growing it into one of the largest and most successful chapters in New Jersey. Under his leadership, students earned recognition at the district, state, and international levels. Michael specializes in DECA role-play preparation, written event coaching, and competition strategy, helping students strengthen their business knowledge, presentation skills, and professional mindset.

He also enjoys working with students across a range of business education concepts, including finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship. With an academic background in Economics, he particularly enjoys working with students in AP Economics, where he has experience as both a teacher and tutor. He has taught AP Economics at a high school recognized on the AP School Honor Roll in 2024 and 2025, contributing to the school’s college-readiness and AP program success. Michael believes that individualized instruction and mentorship are key to unlocking student potential and building lifelong skills. Outside of tutoring, he enjoys weight training and boxing and values the discipline and focus these activities bring to his work with students.

Zenab S.

Zenab is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate students in Business, Economics, Finance, and related disciplines across Canada, the UAE, and India. She holds a Master of Arts in Education (Critical Policy, Equity, and Leadership Studies) from Western University, an MBA in Human Resources and Information Technology, and formal teaching qualifications in Business Studies and English. Zenab has taught in secondary schools, business institutes, and professional training environments, supporting students with coursework, exam preparation, academic writing, and applied problem-solving. Her teaching style is structured, analytical, and student-centred, with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, confidence building, and real-world application of knowledge. Drawing on her global experience and leadership background, Zenab builds strong learning relationships and helps students at both the high school and university levels achieve sustained academic success. Outside the classroom, she remains actively engaged in equity and leadership initiatives and enjoys mentoring students toward long-term academic and career goals.

JOSEF S.

Josef Stetter is an Ontario educator and Assistant Curriculum Leader for Business and Co-op at Georges Vanier Secondary School, known for inclusive, real-world teaching that meets learners where they are. He holds a B.Ed. from Lakehead University and a B.A. in Economics from York University, along with wide-ranging Additional Qualifications that equip him to teach most subjects across Grades 1 through 12, including Math, Science, all Business strands, Social Sciences (world religions, philosophy, psychology), Humanities, Geography, History, English and ESL, Life and Learning Skills, Public Speaking and Debate, and French. He has taught and tutored broadly across these areas and continues to coach learners of all ages. In his current role, Josef expanded Business SHSM participation and led a large DECA cohort to regional and provincial success and had one student win the world Championship in her category beating out 25,000 students, while supervising diverse co-op placements that help students connect class to careers. Josef has lived in five countries and speaks English, French, Hebrew, and Spanish, and he makes learning lively by linking lessons to student interests such as video games, sports, photography, and travel.

Nora C.

Nora is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She grew up in Waterdown, Ontario, moving to Guelph to complete an Undergraduate Degree in Business. Nora grew up with a deep love of travel and took the opportunity to explore the world following the completion of her degrees- going to places such as Romania, Austria, and across Canada several times. It was during her stay in Jasper, Alberta that Nora discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. When she decided to pursue teaching as a career Nora moved to Toronto and completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto. It is through teaching that Nora has been able to foster her love of Business. During the summer months, Nora travels as much as possible, gardens, reads books, attends as many Blue Jays games as possible, and spends time at the cottage with her kids. Nora believes that by building a strong relationship with her students she is better able to meet their needs and grow their learning. As a teacher, Nora continues to develop strategies for working with children. She finds these experiences enjoyable and extremely rewarding.

Cathy is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). She was born and raised in London, Ontario where she graduated from the Accounting program at Fanshawe College. Cathy has over 25 years of accounting experience from working at various accounting firms across Canada. She has been tutoring part-time over the past three years. She enjoys mentoring students with her love of accounting. She is patient and listens to the student’s needs in order to explain concepts in a clear and concise manner. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys reading, knitting, walking and spending time with family and friends.

Muskaan T.

Hi, I’m Muskaan, a graduate student in Bioengineering at Rice University with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. With over five years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the opportunity to guide high school, undergraduate, and graduate students through subjects such as organic chemistry, biology, genetics, calculus, biostatistics etc. My teaching philosophy centers on turning complex topics into clear, engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world applications. Beyond tutoring, my professional experience spans both academic research and clinical practice from analyzing genetic risk factors for cardiovascular disease as a Graduate Researcher at UTHealth Houston, to assisting with pain management and pediatric clinics. Jack pursued his teaching career after more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. He brings a wealth of practical knowledge to teaching and tutoring Accounting, Business, Marketing, and Economics. His background includes roles in financial advice, product management, project management, and strategic planning – all of which give his students real-world insights that connect theory to practice. He is passionate about helping learners build confidence and achieve academic success through clear explanations and engaging lessons. Outside of teaching, he enjoys gardening and staying active through various sports.

Fiona S.

Fiona S. is a student at Western University specializing in Finance and Economics. Scoring a 100% in Econ1022 and Math1229, she demonstrates skill in a vast number of subjects and is even comfortable with other business courses such as Bus1220, Bus2257, Econ1021 and MOS1023. With previous tutoring experience, she enjoys helping students understand concepts in a story-like flow rather than through repetitive memorization. She began tutoring in high school, teaching mathematics and economics one-on-one to younger students and helping them enjoy the subject while learning more effectively. In her most recent tutoring internship, Fiona prepared lessons in advance and adapted the pace to meet each student’s needs. Beyond academics, she is involved in entrepreneurial initiatives, intramural sports, campus clubs, and serves as a Peer Guide with Western International, where she supports students in adjusting to university life. Fiona sometimes uses humor to break the ice and values creating a calm, welcoming environment that allows her students to feel comfortable, confident, and capable of success. Matt Tracy has a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University in New York City and a proven track record of helping students excel in college entrance exams (ACT and SAT) and their English and mathematics courses. With three years of tutoring experience, Matt is an expert at guiding students through K-12 level reading, writing, and English, as well at preparing high-school students for their ACT and SAT exams.

Matt’s teaching experience began in high school when he started an SAT Prep Club to help his classmates do as well if not better than him on the test. His passion for education grew while working at the Writing Lab Center (two years) at Fordham. This experience gave Matt the opportunity to support students from all background and help them reach their full potential.

In addition to his business journalism and tutoring pursuits, Matt enjoys reading up on politics and current events. He also is actively engaged in his local community and loves to frequent locally-owned coffee shops and other businesses.
