Zoya is a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring young minds. She is currently pursuing a PhD degree (Management) in Canada and holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from abroad.

Geneviève N-R.

Geneviève is a recent graduate in Biochemical Engineering from Queen’s University. Throughout her undergrad, she was a chemistry tutor teaching students one-on-one, in small groups, and in lecture halls of over 150 students for pre-exam workshops. She also worked as a Chemistry TA, teaching in-person and online tutorial sessions to classrooms of students to review the professor’s weekly lecture material with lessons, assignments, and quizzes she prepared. As an instructor for the University of Toronto’s Jr DEEP Program, she gained experience teaching elementary and middle school-aged students, having developed and taught a weeklong curriculum of biomedical engineering-related lessons to groups throughout the summer. Finally, she has ski instructed students aged 6 to 21 for the past eight winters with Snowhawks Ski & Snowboard School in Ontario. In her spare time, Geneviève is a rock climber, backcountry skier, dabbles in alpinism, and volunteers at the Squamish Foodbank.

Geneviève has always enjoyed the teaching process of breaking down tricky concepts in fun, easy to remember ways, and strives for that “aha” moment in a student’s eyes when you can tell they’ve developed an understanding for a new concept. Also, she is informed in teaching students with different learning styles and/or neurodivergence. MICHELLE N.

Michelle is an Ontario-certified Intermediate/Senior (Math and Accounting) and IB MYP (Math) teacher with additional qualifications in Family Studies, Junior, Co-op and Guidance, English as a Second Language, and Special Education. She graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts and earned her Bachelor of Education at Lakehead University. Over the last decade, Michelle taught at international schools in Asia, including six years as an Accounting and Math teacher to non-native English speakers in Tianjin, China, and Selangor, Malaysia. She recently returned home to Toronto after teaching MYP Math at a leading international IB school in Beijing, China, for three years.

Michelle has extensive experience working with students who need additional academic support or skill development, as well as those looking to extend their learning beyond classroom content. Her strengths include identifying areas where students struggle or lack key skills, and helping them develop these skills and concepts through personalized instruction. Known for her friendly, patient, and approachable demeanor, Michelle is currently teaching at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Amal is a goal-driven professional educator with a PhD in Economics and a Master’s in Finance and Banking, boasting 15 years of experience in teaching Economics and Business Administration courses. Amal has successfully instructed and mentored over 60 students in a multicultural setting, employing Active Learning methodologies and integrating technology to enhance classroom experiences.

With a passion for education, Amal has contributed significantly to various educational settings. She has served as a Mathematics and Sciences Teacher at La Citadelle Academy of Sciences and Arts, where she instructed curriculum in French for students in grades 3 to 5, implementing innovative teaching strategies to engage students in a bilingual environment. Additionally, she has worked as a Teaching Assistant at Concordia University, developing and teaching Economics and Business Administration courses. She is also currently involved in the Teaching Assistant Program at the University of Toronto and is a Private French Tutor, providing personalized tutoring sessions to enhance critical thinking skills and concentration in French Immersion programs.

Danica studied Bachelor’s in Business Administration, majoring in finance, and is currently completing her diploma in International Business. She has over a decade of experience working with children by being a volunteer teacher within her local community since she was in high school. Presently, she serves as a peer tutor at Centennial College, specializing in math courses within the Business department, and as a part-time instructor at an after-school learning center, tutoring children from grades one to eight.

Beyond her academic endeavors, Danica finds joy in painting pet portraits and scenic landscapes, staying active with badminton, and embracing the challenge of learning new languages.

Tejas, an aspiring CPA, holds a post-graduate degree in professional accounting from Humber College. He pursued a second post-graduate degree in financial planning from the same institution, driven by his passion for finance. During his undergraduate studies, Tejas served as a peer tutor, discovering his enjoyment in teaching and guiding his peers. In the fall of 2024, Tejas will embark on his career journey at Deloitte Canada as a staff accountant in assurance services.
