Aryan is a recent graduate from McMaster University with a degree in Health Sciences. Currently, continuing with his interest, he is applying to medical school and hopes to stay in Toronto. Aryan’s passion for tutoring dates back to high school, where he started as a volunteer for Harbord Collegiate’s tutoring centre. From there, Aryan decided to pursue a private tutoring business on his own, coming up with personalized study material and strategies for students mostly referred to him by his teachers. Upon moving to Hamilton to start university, Aryan spent 4 years volunteering for Frontier College, tutoring children age 6-11, mostly focusing on reading comprehension and writing skills. He also managed to tutor his peers in university-level courses he had experience with. In his 4th year, Aryan was hired to be a Teaching Assistant for the second year Health, Attitude, and Behaviour course within his program. As the Health Sciences program focuses on self-directed learning, Aryan gained professional experience in facilitating a teaching style that engages students directly with their own learning and success. From early on, Aryan has been able to develop a personalized model for each of his students. He has always been receptive to feedback and strived to formulate his teaching style in the best way that suits his students’ concerns. In his spare time, Aryan enjoys playing and watching soccer.
