Patatchona K.

Patatchona K. is a dedicated mathematics and computer science educator who teaches students from pre‑secondary through undergraduate levels, with additional expertise in programming languages such as C++ and Python. With his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, and currently completing his PhD in computer engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, Patatchona brings several years of tutoring and university‑level teaching experience. He is known for making difficult concepts feel accessible, adapting his approach to each learner’s needs, and helping students build confidence even when they begin with “I’m not good at math.” His teaching style combines clarity, patience, and real‑world examples, ensuring students not only learn but truly understand. Outside of teaching, he enjoys exploring the connections between math, technology, and everyday problem‑solving skills.

 

 

Geetha S.

Geetha has a double MS in Microbiology and has been teaching for the last two decades as an adjunct faculty, private tutoring and at learning centers. She has been teaching as an adjunct faculty in Biology, Microbiology, Applied Biotechnology at local colleges, where she taught both lectures and hands-on lab instruction. She has also been tutoring privately and at learning centers in multiple subjects like English (English reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling), Math, Science (Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry), test preps like TEAS test for nursing, ASVAB, ASTB, ACT etc.
Geetha is a dedicated, hardworking, patient teacher and passionate about teaching. She has taught many students of diverse social and cultural backgrounds and she realizes that she can fill the gaps that the student has in what they learn at school and helps connect the dots. Her helping hand has been complementary to what the student learns at school. The individual attention, guidance and focus that she provides the student helps them to feel encouraged, confident and do better. She has been able to help many students in their learning by enhancing their understanding of concepts by simplifying them, drawing diagrams, tables, figures, many practice problems for them to understand better. She gives real life examples from her research experience and enabling students to learn through practical, engaging and impactful training.
In her free time, Geetha enjoys music, gardening, yoga and hiking.

 

McCall D.

McCall D. is exceptional at helping students grasp concepts and gain confidence in Middle-School Math, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and English Composition.

McCall enjoys helping students learn how to bridge the gap between big-picture mathematical concepts and solving specific problems using those concepts.

Her goal is to help students gain confidence, improve their understanding, and realize, “Hey, wait a minute. I’m actually good at math!”

As a graduating honor-roll senior at Silver Creek High School in Longmont, McCall will be attending Colorado State University in the fall, where she plans to major in Biomedical Engineering and Biochemistry.

In her spare time, McCall works with a local equine veterinarian and spends time with her friends, family, and her three dogs: Anzu, Zeke, and ZuZu.

O. Cash

Mr. Cash is from Atlanta, Ga and Virginia. He earned his Bachelors’ Degree in Biology from Morehouse College and his Masters’ Degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He’s served as an educator for 8+ years, including as a middle school teacher (in-person and virtually), a virtual high school teacher, an adjunct professor, a tutor and a coach. Mr. Cash specializes in science, math, food and nutrition, and a firm gentle approach; as an educator, he enjoys embracing challenges with care and support. When Mr. Cash isn’t tutoring, he’s most likely covered in soil (he’s a farmer) or paint/clay/wood shavings/etc. (he’s an artist), or he’s deeply engaged with ideas and creative expressions (he’s an avid explorer, learner, and thinker).

 

KOTAYBAH H.

Kotaybah has extensive teaching and tutoring experience of Applied Science (Engineering) courses at the University of Calgary, applying math and physics to real-world problems. This experience allows him to connect basic scientific problems with real-life applications, making “dry” math and physics problems more interesting and tangible to students.

Coming from a diverse background (current research in Chemical Engineering, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering), he can also provide context to problems in math, physics, chemistry and biology. Throughout his journey teaching college students, he has developed a good understanding of challenging topics in which students do not receive the proper attention needed while in school. His teaching methods involve designing and incorporating visual examples to make abstract concepts more interesting.

 

Elias A.

Elias A. graduated from Columbia University with an MA in Russian & Eastern European Studies in 2025 and from University of Oxford in 2017 with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He worked as an SAT prep teacher and tutor for AP US History, AP World History, and AP Literature in DC and Maryland from 2018 to 2019. Elias served as a Peace Corps TEFL Volunteer in Kosovo from 2019-2020 and from 2022-2023, teaching English to K-12 students. In 2020 and 2021 he worked as a tutor in Oregon for elementary and middle school students, tutoring English, reading comprehension, writing, math, and coding. In 2021 Elias taught English and critical thinking skills to students in Kosovo virtually in the Peace Corps Virtual Service Pilot Program. He currently works as a tutor for middle and high school students. In his free time Elias enjoys playing basketball, ping pong, and tennis.

 

Mark B.

Mark B has a PhD in Mathematical Physics.
He has been tutoring all levels of math and physiics for about 30 years. The last five years he has been teaching math and physics in high schools.
Mark is very particular about proving everything in both math and physics from the ground up. If necessary he will go back to the level that the students is familiar with and build from there to make sure that the students understands every step.
He also likes to make the student figure out possible next steps in how to achieve a better understanding.
When it comes to problem solving in both math and physics, Mark likes the student to give examples for the basic problems, with input from the student, but then encourage the student to try without help as much as possible, before showing the solution.

 

Piyush L.

Piyush Lashkari is a tutor specializing in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with extensive experience teaching students from middle school to high school. He holds a PhD  in Chemical Engineering from Western University, where he focused on polymer composites and advanced characterization techniques.

Piyush is passionate about helping students understand complex scientific concepts through engaging, interactive, and personalized lessons. Outside of tutoring, he enjoys exploring scientific mysteries and reading about real-world disasters. Piyush believes that fostering curiosity and building strong student relationships are key to academic success.

DR. BRYAN F.

Dr. Bryan F. is a postdoctoral scientist at the University of Toronto, where he conducts interdisciplinary bioengineering and AI driven drug discovery research. He grew up in London, Ontario, and began his postsecondary STEM education by completing a Bachelor of Science (Honours, Co op Biochemistry) at the University of Guelph from 2015 to 2019. He further advanced his training in chemistry and biochemistry by earning a Doctor of Philosophy through the Interdisciplinary Oncology Program at the University of British Columbia from 2020 to 2024.

Bryan is an experienced high school math and science tutor within the Ontario Grade 9 to 12 curriculum. He helps students understand how complex scientific concepts and mathematical problems apply to the real world, while developing customized, course specific learning strategies tailored to each student. He also specializes in preparing undergraduate students for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), where he scored within the 96th percentile for Chemistry and Physics, the 90th percentile for Biology and Biochemistry, and the 90th percentile for Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills.

Bryan is passionate about public facing science communication and has participated in national radio broadcasts and podcasts to share cutting edge Canadian antiviral research in an engaging and accessible way. Outside of academia, he enjoys cooking and exploring food science, and he is an avid tennis and volleyball player.

 

Emily L.

Emily graduated from McGill University with her bachelors degree in Psychology and Science and is currently applying for graduate programs to further her education. She has 6+ years tutoring math and sciences. She is passionate about making tough topics less daunting by motivating students and explaining lessons to match with each student’s individual learning styles. She looks forward to guiding your child to academic success!
