Justin B.
Justin is a certified teacher originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, who relocated to British Columbia to pursue his teaching career. Before heading West, he earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Biology Research) and a Master of Science (Research-Based Thesis in Pathology) at Dalhousie University.
As a lifelong athlete, Justin grew up playing competitive hockey. Through years of coaching, he discovered his passion for teaching young people, which ultimately led him to a career in education. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Education at Acadia University in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley.
During his academic career, Justin was awarded over $100,000 in research and academic scholarships and contributed to eight research publications, including three as a first author.
In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing hockey, golf, and volleyball, and road-tripping across the country with his family. As an intermediate French immersion teacher, Justin is passionate about building strong relationships and creating a supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Payman J.
Payman has a Ph.D. in Tectonophysics from the University of Toronto, a 1st class honour bachelor’s degree in Geophysics from the University of Calgary, a Master of Science in Medical Physics, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics.
His Ph.D. research was on improving earthquake detection using computer vision algorithms. He has over 20 years of teaching experience in the science, engineering, and environmental fields and currently teaches at Humber, Mohawk, and Sheridan Colleges. He has also worked in the industry as a data scientist, but his passion is teaching. Payman’s teaching style focuses on developing intellectual confidence in his students by guiding them through systematic problem-solving approaches.
He is an avid road cyclist and mountain biker, has raced ultra marathons for 14 years in Canada and Europe, and is a former climber.
Amir M.
Amir is a passionate educator with extensive experience tutoring high school, university, and MCAT sciences, including biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as mathematics courses such as advanced functions and calculus. Currently, Gregory serves as a teacher at Reagan High School in San Antonio, TX, where he delivers engaging and effective instruction tailored to diverse learning needs. Alongside his classroom responsibilities, he supports students in credit recovery programs and provides mentorship to ensure their long-term success. Cassidy P.
Cassidy earned a B.S. with a double major in Physics and Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology while playing varsity softball and working in Residence Life. After graduation, she worked as a scientist for the Department of Defense for three years. During that time, she earned an M.Th. in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Cassidy then served as an Assistant Pastor for four years, enjoying mentoring students and teaching all ages. Her husband’s career as an Army nurse relocated them to San Antonio, where they had their first child.
Cassidy has tutored, formally and informally, throughout high school and college. Passionate about learning and, consequently, teaching, she is always gaining new knowledge and skills — from coding to music to cooking and beyond. Her other passions include her faith, motherhood, and health and fitness. She also enjoys reading and doing puzzles.
MORVARID L.
Morvarid is a dedicated and experienced tutor with a Master’s degree in Electrical and Software Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. With over three years of experience as a teaching assistant, she has helped students succeed in courses like calculus, programming, math, and engineering fundamentals.
Morvarid loves helping students understand challenging concepts and gain confidence in their abilities. She is patient, approachable, and skilled at breaking down complex topics into simple, clear explanations. Whether it’s mastering programming skills, solving math problems, or tackling engineering concepts, she is committed to helping her students achieve their goals.

SABA E.
Saba earned an Economics degree and is now pursuing two combined degrees at the University of Calgary: a BSc in Mathematics and a BCom in Finance. She brings nearly two years of tutoring experience from a children’s charity, where she worked with kids from all backgrounds and with different abilities.
From a very young age, her father kindled her interest in mathematics through playful arithmetic games. The more she learned, the more she fell in love with it. Today, she devotes herself to this passion. She finds fulfillment in sharing and exchanging knowledge.

Horzy G.
Horzy G. is an experienced educator and college counselor with a Master’s in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from New Jersey City University. Born and raised in New Jersey, Horzy always wants to give back to his community. He has guided hundreds of students through the college application process, achieving a 100% acceptance rate for graduating seniors. Horzy has also taught psychology at the high school level and has over ten years of experience in tutoring.
In addition, he has tutored multiple subjects, including philosophy, college-level writing, and high school math topics. Nicole D.
Nicole graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with two Bachelor’s degrees, one in History and one in Elementary Education, with a minor in Bilingual Education. Nicole taught for eleven years, over the course of which she excelled at math and reading instruction. In addition to math and reading intervention, Nicole was a bilingual educator (Spanish) and a dyslexia interventionist. However, her real passion lies in Robotics and Computer Science.
Nicole has written Robotics/Computer Science curriculum for two districts. She has also taken several teams to competition with VEX and FIRST(tm) who have successfully won awards over the years.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys visiting her daughter, who attends LSU, and spending time with her two dogs.
