Michael F.

With over 15 years of dedicated experience in education, I have cultivated a dynamic and student-centered approach to teaching that spans grades 5 through 12 across core subjects including Mathematics, Reading, Science, and History. My passion for fostering academic growth and critical thinking has consistently resulted in measurable student success and lasting engagement in the learning process.
In addition to my work in K–12 education, I have served as an adjunct professor for several colleges, where I have designed and delivered collegiate-level coursework with a focus on accessibility, rigor, and real-world application. This dual experience in both primary/secondary and higher education enables me to bridge learning gaps effectively and prepare students for academic advancement at every level.
For over a decade, I have also provided individualized tutoring, supporting diverse learners with personalized instruction tailored to their unique needs and goals. Whether working with students struggling to grasp foundational concepts or challenging high-achievers to reach their full potential, I am committed to helping each learner succeed.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student can thrive when instruction is engaging, differentiated, and empowering. I bring a deep understanding of curriculum development, classroom management, and assessment strategies, along with a collaborative spirit and a lifelong commitment to education.

Joshua T.

Josh grew up in the suburbs of Texas and his favorite subject has always been math. Whether it be helping his peers in class or professionally, he has been tutoring others in math since the fourth grade! He attended Texas State University and graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. During his time at Texas State, he was acknowledged by the Physics department as the outstanding undergraduate instructor of the year and even led the groups of other student instructors for his lab sections. He also participated in a state of the art program that focuses on the learning process of mathematical concepts, and here is where he really developed and honed his skill for teaching math. He received perfect scores on every exit level test from highschool, a perfect 800 on the SAT Math, and a perfect 36 on the ACT Math. He approaches every student with compassion, and possesses a unique skill of diagnosing the foundational gaps in learning to help students maximize their potential. Not only is he in the top 1% of test scores, but his love for math and helping others learn puts him in the top 1% of educators as well.

Luis H.

Luis is a devoted and personable bilingual educator who focuses on helping students and parents fully achieve their goals without having to dedicate all their time to academics. Originally from Venezuela, Luis moved to the United States as a young teenager, giving him a unique understanding of language learning and cultural adaptation. His psychology studies at Texas A&M University motivate him to look deeper into the reasons why students may be struggling, like knowing whether students struggle due to school disorganization or from generally misunderstanding a school subject. His specialty and years-long experience in literacy intervention for students of all ages, ESL studies, Spanish, and elementary and middle school tutoring has made him natural at being able to form genuine, authentic and productive relationships with students and their families, who often recommend him to others. Based on his experience working with students as young as 3 years old up to doctorate level students and senior citizens, Luis’ approach to tutoring is based on the presumption that students would rather be doing anything but schoolwork after spending dozens of hours a week doing so, so his lessons are focused on showing students to appreciate what they’re taught in a way that is particularly engaging to them. In his free time, Luis enjoys reading nonfiction, spending time with family, watching movies and going out with friends.
