Alannah S.

Alannah S. has background in teaching, tutoring, and mentorship across K–12 settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and History from Temple University, where she was actively involved in her school and surrounding community. During her senior year, Alannah worked as a teaching assistant and tutor supporting Algebra I students as they strengthened their foundational math skills and confidence. She currently teaches 8th-grade math in a bilingual setting, working with students from diverse academic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.

Throughout her time at Temple University, Alannah demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship and educational success. Through AmeriCorps, she founded a new chapter of the DREAM Program, providing mentorship to youth in the community and later helping establish an after-school tutoring program for students. These experiences strengthened her passion for ensuring that all students receive meaningful academic support and educators who believe in their potential. Alannah also speaks Spanish and has a certificate in American Sign Language.

Alannah believes that student success extends beyond grades. She strives to meet students where they are, break challenging concepts into manageable steps, and create those important “aha!” moments that help learning click. Most importantly, she wants her students to develop confidence both inside and outside of the classroom. Her goal is to equip each student with the skills, strategies, and self-confidence they need to become more independent learners and achieve their goals.

Outside of teaching, Alannah enjoys going to the gym, traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with her family.

Brooke B.

Brooke is currently a Bachelor of Education student at Ontario Tech University and will be graduating this year as a certified Primary/Junior teacher. She previously studied Social Service Work and American Sign Language and has four years of experience working as an educational assistant, supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Brooke is passionate about teaching and committed to creating supportive, engaging learning environments where students feel confident and motivated to learn. She believes there is no one “right way” to teach and focuses on building strong relationships with her students. By understanding each student’s unique strengths, perspectives, and interests, Brooke tailors her approach to meet their individual needs and support meaningful learning.

Charity B.

Charity is an Elementary and Middle School educator with experience in teaching American Sign Language (ASL) for beginners, English Language Arts (ELA), Social Studies, and Science in homeschool and public-school settings. One of her greatest passions is language learning and gaining familiarity with the surrounding cultures. She currently has a high B1 level of Spanish, a fair communicative level in ASL, and is learning Japanese and Swahili. In all her personal goals and professional undertakings, Charity’s main focus is to be an encouraging and virtuous figure and role model in the lives of children. She spends her free time spending time with her seven younger siblings, volunteering at church sports leagues, and brainstorming unique themes for her self-developed Outschool classes.
