NOAH S.

Noah S. has a Master of Teaching Degree from the University of Toronto/OISE (Class of 2026), as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Theatre: Performance Acting from Toronto Metropolitan University (Class of 2012). In between degrees, he has worked as an actor and writer, as well as a Resident Artist-Educator at Young People’s Theatre. In addition to playing lead roles in theatre, Noah had his feature film debut acting with Academy-Award winner Christoph Waltz. Since 2019, Noah has worked as a professional hiking and cycling guide, where he has coached people to navigate the terrain in the Canadian Rockies, France, Spain, Belize, Costa Rica, and Patagonia. Noah’s breadth of life experience has informed his teaching, where he has worked in both public and independent schools. Whether acting with Oscar winners, guiding people in the mountains, or just helping students to learn, Noah incorporates mindfulness into all of his work, using the words of Jon Kabat-Zinn as a foundation to his teaching practice: “Intelligence is the door to freedom, and alert attention is the mother of intelligence.”

 

Sofia G.

Sofia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto’s Rotman Commerce program, with a specialist in Finance and Economics. She tutors Accounting, Business, Economics, Senior Mathematics, and Intermediate Mathematics, working primarily with elementary and high school students.

She has nearly three years of tutoring experience and developed a strong foundation in peer-based learning during university, where she regularly participated in and facilitated collaborative study sessions with classmates. These sessions involved taking turns explaining concepts and supporting each other’s understanding of course material, strengthening her ability to teach complex topics in a clear and accessible way.

Her teaching approach is patient, step-by-step, and interactive. She focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable parts, ensuring students fully understand each step before moving forward. She also emphasizes active engagement to help students build confidence and develop independent problem-solving skills.

Taher K.

Taher is a third-year student at Western University’s prestigious Ivey Business School, with a strong academic foundation spanning business, psychology, and political science. Having spent his first two years at Western majoring in psychology, Taher has developed a genuine understanding of how people think, learn, and grow, which makes him a natural fit for working one-on-one with students. His hands-on experience in education and training through his work at MCRC, alongside taking on numerous campus-wide leadership roles, has given him the communication skills and patience to break down even the most challenging material. Taher truly enjoys helping students find their footing, drawing on his diverse academic background to tailor his approach to each person’s unique learning style. Whether it’s navigating business concepts, sharpening essay writing, or exploring the social sciences, he brings both the knowledge and the energy to help university students succeed. Outside of his studies and campus commitments, Taher loves to travel and immerse himself in new cultures and experiences.

Aish M.

Aish is a 4th year student at the University of Waterloo, where she is pursuing an Honours Arts and Business degree with a major in Psychology and Business, along with a minor in Human Resource Management. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for understanding how people learn, Aishwarya brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to tutoring.

She has experience working in a variety of roles that require communication, mentorship, and adaptability, including her role as a Peer Leader where she supports and guides first-year students. Aishwarya has also led initiatives focused on education and personal development, including founding a psychology-focused club that promoted learning and well-being through interactive discussions and events.

She believes that every student learns differently, and she focuses on creating a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring new concepts. She is especially passionate about helping students build strong foundations, improve their confidence, and develop skills that go beyond the classroom.

Outside of academics, Aish enjoys planning creative events, painting, and travelling, always looking for new experiences that inspire creativity and fresh perspectives.

 

Ayush M.

Ayush is an Honours Arts and Business student at the University of Waterloo, majoring in Economics with a Diploma in Sustainability. He has developed a strong foundation in academic mentorship through his role as a Peer Leader for Campus Housing, where he supported students in navigating their educational goals and developing effective learning habits. With a diverse professional background that includes experience in investment management, tax accounting, and marketing, Ayush specializes in making complex, technical subjects approachable and relevant to everyday life.

His tutoring philosophy centers on building a genuine connection with his students to foster the confidence they need to succeed independently. By combining his analytical skills from the world of finance with a personalized, one-on-one approach, Ayush ensures that lessons are both engaging and results-oriented. When he isn’t helping students master new concepts, Ayush can be found strategically climbing the ranks in Clash Royale and proving that his competitive spirit and analytical mind never truly take a day off.

 

Ashina K.

Ashina is a professional mathematics tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Mathematics Hons degree. She specializes in tutoring high school, IB, and university students. At the university level, she support students across a wide range of programs including BBA, Management, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, and Business Analytics. Subjects include Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Calculus, Advanced Functions, Discrete Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, and university-level Accounting and Finance courses. OMID A.

Omid A. graduated from the University of Waterloo with a 3.9 GPA, earning a place on the Dean’s Honours List every semester of his education. He has a strong academic background in mathematics and physics, along with several years of experience developing analytical and problem-solving skills through his work in finance and trading.

Omid is passionate about teaching and enjoys breaking down complex concepts into clear, easy to understand ideas. He works one on one with students to build strong fundamentals, confidence, and independent thinking, adapting his approach to each student’s needs.

Outside of tutoring, Omid enjoys reading about history, economics, finance, and self-development. In his free time, he also enjoys playing sports, particularly basketball and soccer.

 

 

Ethan S.

Ethan S. is a third-year student at the Ivey Business School. He completed his first two years in the BMOS–Finance program with a 4.0 GPA, building a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem solving. Over the past few years, he has worked as a tutor helping high school students in math and science, focusing on adapting lessons to each student’s unique learning style and helping them build confidence in the material. This summer, Ethan will be working as a Financial Analyst at Magna International. Outside of school and tutoring, Ethan enjoys staying active at the gym, playing golf, following Formula 1, managing fantasy football, and spending time with friends and family.

 

SAACHI G.

Saachi Gupta is a Data Science student at the University of Calgary with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. She maintains a solid GPA while completing coursework in Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science using Python and Java.

SANA F.

Sana is a highly experienced educator and school leader with over 17 years of expertise in teaching and curriculum development across Cambridge and Pearson Ed excel qualifications. She brings a strong academic background and a passion for student success to her role as a tutor.

Sana holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, along with an MBA in Human Resource Management and a BS in Economics and Finance from the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi.  She also holds B.Ed and M.Ed degrees from Allama Iqbal Open University.
