KYLE X.

Kyle is a multilingual professional with a wealth of experience in leadership, networking, and tutoring. He was born in East Asia, speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin fluently, and is actively learning Italian, Arabic, Spanish, French, and Korean. With six years of tutoring experience teaching students from primary, university, and ESL adult backgrounds, Kyle is passionate about teaching English, social sciences, history, and economics as a result of his academic background. His love for teaching is evident in the way he connects with his students and fosters a positive learning environment. Kyle’s leadership skills are also impressive, having founded and served as the chapter president of My Networking Club, a registered charity where he managed a team of over 20 executives to craft growth plans for six key events that connect university students to industry professionals for networking, mentorship, and internship opportunities. Under Kyle’s leadership, the club achieved membership growth of over 100 members and 300+ attendees from top companies in Canada. Kyle’s academic achievements are equally notable, with a GPA of 3.9/4.0 and a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll at York University. GENEVIEVE M.

Genevieve in an Ontario Certified teacher. She is qualified to teach Math, ESL, Economics, Business, Law, Accounting, Social Science, Philosophy and Special Education. She has over 10 years’ experience tutoring students both online and offline. Genevieve enjoys helping students of all ages achieve their full potential, from elementary to post-secondary.

Christian V.

Christian has a Bachelor’s of Commerce Spec. Accounting as well as a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting. He has several years of experience in tutoring both high school and university level business courses. Outside of Christian’s work at a Big 4 accounting firm, Christian enjoys spending time playing hockey, fishing and cooking.

Omar B.

Omar holds a bachelor of business administration from ESADE Business School and a master’s degree in hospitality management from Les Roches. Additionally, he is completing his bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Ottawa in the junior and intermediate divisions. His main didactic is mathematics. He likes to listen to his students and their needs to provide them with quality teaching leading to their academic or professional goals. Also, if you need to improve your language skills he will certainly help you as he speaks French, English, Spanish and Arabic. He taught French to federal government employees during two years so he has experience preparing students to reach the level of comfort needed to pass both oral and written exams.

Marc D.

Marc has completed his Undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Economics from Wilfred Laurier University where he spent time leading tutorials and assisting students with relevent course work. During his time at University, he led academic and orientation events for first year students whom he is still connected with today. Marc strongly believes his purpose is to serve and help others. Academic and personal success has not come without challenges for Marc and so he is eager to impart his organizational and personal learning stratagies where needed.

Marc currently works full-time at a Tech startup in Waterloo, ON. Outside of work he can be found on long walks, at the gym, with his dog or behind a good book.

MATT J.

Matt is an Ontario Certified Teacher, and Economics Faculty member at an Ontario independent school. He teaches both AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics and runs the investment club. He has taught students that have been accepted to economics programs at the institutions of Harvard, University of Chicago, and top Canadian universities. Matt has written economics curriculum for the AP College Board, attended professional development all over the world and is in the process of becoming an AP College Board Reader and Consultant – marks AP exams and instructs AP teachers. He has also personally worked with Youtuber, Jacob Clifford – an Economics Educator. In Matt’s free time, if he isn’t hitting a squash or tennis ball, he is spending his hours creating financial literacy content. Matt recently created a financial literacy text message course through Arist.co that has reached hundreds of individuals spanning from students at Harvard to students in developing countries such as India and Uganda. If you need help with economics, Matt is your guy.

Michael J.

Michael is passionate about teaching and entrepreneurship. Michael graduated the Master of Arts in Business Economics program at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he performed research on topics involving macroeconomics and microeconomics. Michael recently completed his Bachelor of Education program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Michael is certified to teach by the Ontario College of Teachers. Michael has extensive experience with HTML, CSS, WordPress, STATA, Eviews, R, and Microsoft Excel. Michael is currently teaching microeconomics at Seneca College.

ZAID A-B.

Zaid is a knowledgeable tutor with years of experience who values developing a caring and professional relationship with clients. Zaid has a background in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering and Engineering work experience along with experience teaching Senior years Math and Physics classes.

NORA C.

Nora is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She grew up in Waterdown, Ontario, moving to Guelph to complete an Undergraduate Degree in Business. Nora grew up with a deep love of travel and took the opportunity to explore the world following the completion of her degrees- going to places such as Romania, Austria, and across Canada several times. It was during her stay in Jasper, Alberta that Nora discovered her passion for teaching and working with children. When she decided to pursue teaching as a career Nora moved to Toronto and completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Toronto. It is through teaching that Nora has been able to foster her love of Business. During the summer months, Nora travels as much as possible, gardens, reads books, attends as many Blue Jays games as possible, and spends time at the cottage with her kids. Nora believes that by building a strong relationship with her students she is better able to meet their needs and grow their learning. As a teacher, Nora continues to develop strategies for working with children. She finds these experiences enjoyable and extremely rewarding.

Janet D.

Janet is a Certified Teacher, with four years of teaching experience. She has worked in both the private and public sectors. She specializes in a variety of subject areas from MYP IB, to PE, Outdoor Ed, Business, Human Sciences, and Primary School English & Mathematics.
She grew up in Barrie, Ontario, and moved out west in 2015. She has an Undergraduate Degree in Physical and Health Education and a Minor in Business Admin. As well, she’s completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from UBC.
Janet has taught a variety of high school specialized courses outside of her teachables including ESL, Home Economics, Yoga, and Basketball Academy. She also spent a year teaching a grade 4-7 elementary school class, with a special focus on literacy and mathematics in those years.
She is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and got into teaching physical and health education not only because of her love for sports, but because she thoroughly enjoys helping build her students’ confidence to succeed. She prides herself on the connections she’s built with her students and parents over the years.
Janet’s approach fosters an environment where community, global perspectives, and social responsibility become key fundamentals that will prepare her students to be true world citizens. Her goal is that the connections she makes allow others to leave at the end of the day feeling supported, and respected and that their opinions are heard. Since starting her career, she’s made it her mission to make her classroom environment a safe space for all everyone, where they can share experiences, and use their innovative thinking and creativity, to flourish. She loves working amongst the leaders of tomorrow and greatly appreciates all the connections she’s made along the way.
