Jane Francis

Francis is an aspiring educator and future Physics teacher who is passionate about helping students in Grades 6–12 build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and reach their full potential.

Zenab S.

Zenab is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over ten years of experience teaching and tutoring high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate students in Business, Economics, Finance, and related disciplines across Canada, the UAE, and India. She holds a Master of Arts in Education (Critical Policy, Equity, and Leadership Studies) from Western University, an MBA in Human Resources and Information Technology, and formal teaching qualifications in Business Studies and English. Zenab has taught in secondary schools, business institutes, and professional training environments, supporting students with coursework, exam preparation, academic writing, and applied problem-solving. Her teaching style is structured, analytical, and student-centred, with a strong emphasis on conceptual clarity, confidence building, and real-world application of knowledge. Drawing on her global experience and leadership background, Zenab builds strong learning relationships and helps students at both the high school and university levels achieve sustained academic success. Alanna D.

Alanna is an OCT‑certified educator and experienced tutor who brings over eight years of expertise in early childhood and elementary education to Prep Academy Tutors. With a Master of Arts in Child Study & Education (in progress at the University of Toronto) and a strong academic foundation in Early Childhood Studies, Alanna specializes in helping learners build self-confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning.
Alanna has taught and supported students in a wide range of settings that go beyond the classroom. She excels at adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs—whether supporting language and literacy through phonemic awareness and multimodal learning or guiding individualized math instruction and supporting students to find their voice across areas of curriculum.

Zi is an OCT certified Math, Business, and Coding teacher with 5+ years of classroom and online teaching experience (ESL, Math, Canadian & Singapore Curriculum). She is passionate about helping her students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and overall enjoy the learning process. Her goal for every class is to create a safe space where her students feel encouraged, positive, and comfortable to ask any questions or raise any concerns. She loves reading and playing video games.

Nigah T. (NT) is a dedicated BMOS Finance and Administration graduate from Western University. She brings advanced professional expertise from her work in Data Analytics and Business Innovation, giving her a real-world perspective that truly elevates her tutoring. NT’s approach is to simplify the toughest concepts: she doesn’t believe in rote memorisation, but in helping students build a solid conceptual framework so they can tackle any problem with confidence.

JOSEF S.

Josef Stetter is an Ontario educator and Assistant Curriculum Leader for Business and Co-op at Georges Vanier Secondary School, known for inclusive, real-world teaching that meets learners where they are. He holds a B.Ed. from Lakehead University and a B.A. in Economics from York University, along with wide-ranging Additional Qualifications that equip him to teach most subjects across Grades 1 through 12, including Math, Science, all Business strands, Social Sciences (world religions, philosophy, psychology), Humanities, Geography, History, English and ESL, Life and Learning Skills, Public Speaking and Debate, and French. He has taught and tutored broadly across these areas and continues to coach learners of all ages. In his current role, Josef expanded Business SHSM participation and led a large DECA cohort to regional and provincial success and had one student win the world Championship in her category beating out 25,000 students, while supervising diverse co-op placements that help students connect class to careers. Josef has lived in five countries and speaks English, French, Hebrew, and Spanish, and he makes learning lively by linking lessons to student interests such as video games, sports, photography, and travel.

Hello/Bonjour!

My name is Michèle and I am a tri-lingual communications, language and culture professional.

I am francophone, but I also speak Mandarin, Chinese, and have experience teaching ESL, FSL, and language confidence to learners from ages 4 to 94 and everything in between.

I work in Communications and Engagement at McMaster University and I teach French at Mohawk College.

I have a Master of Arts in Communications and Culture and a graduate diploma in Asian studies, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Media and Western Society and Culture, with a diploma in Modern Standard Chinese Language and Culture.
I am currently pursuing a degree at the University of Toronto in Asian Studies, with a focus on China.

I have been educated in French, English and Mandarin, and I am interested in helping students who are motivated to overcome their shyness with learning and using a language. I also teach grammar, sentence structure, essay writing, critical theory, and editing.

I can also tutor in specific subjects outside of the core language curriculum, including some social sciences and humanities subjects, business basics, some history, some philosophy, and cultural and communications theory.

I focus on confidence-building, because it is the root of all learning, and a confident person is not afraid to be curious!

Frances has 23 years working with Special Ed students in Elementary, Middle and High school students. Frances also has a Professional license in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL), Reading Endorsement, and Elementary Certification Grades K-6. Frances is passionate about helping students reach their full potential in school and in life.

JACK D.

Jack pursued his teaching career after more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. He brings a wealth of practical knowledge to teaching and tutoring Accounting, Business, Marketing, and Economics. His background includes roles in financial advice, product management, project management, and strategic planning – all of which give his students real-world insights that connect theory to practice. He is passionate about helping learners build confidence and achieve academic success through clear explanations and engaging lessons. Outside of teaching, he enjoys gardening and staying active through various sports.

Richard S.

Rich is a retired lawyer. In addition to a law degree, he has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric. As a tutor, teaching assistant and adjunct faculty, he has taught and tutored students ranging from elementary school to graduate school. He specializes in English literature and composition, business, and social studies. Rich is also a skilled SAT coach.  Not only does he help students learn the content for the English sections of the SAT, but he also teaches them strategies, tips and tricks to yield the very best test score possible!
