Dylan W-M.

Dylan is an Ontario Certified Teacher with a strong background in mathematics and physics education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in physics and astronomy from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, specializing in Intermediate–Senior Physics and Mathematics.

Dylan has taught a wide range of high school math and physics courses from grades 9-12. Dylan also had the opportunity to teach English overseas to ELL students in Norway. During his teaching experiences in Ontario and Norway, he created unique. engaging activities, integrated fun learning tools like Desmos and Scratch, and supported students through additional help sessions to strengthen their confidence and skills.

Beyond the classroom, Dylan has several years of tutoring experience at both the high school and post-secondary levels. He helps guide students through challenging math and physics concepts by breaking problems down step-by-step and explaining them in intuitive ways. He also creates personalized review materials to target exactly what each student needs. His teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on building strong problem-solving skills.

When not teaching, Dylan enjoys travelling, reading fiction, working out, playing video games and cooking for friends and family.

 

BEN Y.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems with a Mathematics and Data Science concentration and is currently studying Data Analytics at SAIT. With extensive tutoring experience across Canada, the US and UK, he excels at breaking down complex concepts and supporting students through clear, encouraging instruction. Bilingual in English and French, he blends strong analytical skills with a warm teaching style. Ben helps students build confidence while mastering foundational math and science skills.

Samir H.

Samir H. is an experienced STEM tutor with a strong academic background in biochemistry. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biochemistry at Western University and is currently finishing his PhD in Biochemistry, where he applies synthetic biology to engineering artificial organelles. In 2020, Samir was awarded the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for his academic excellence and leadership. During a year living in Kuwait, Samir tutored middle-school students in English, science, and mathematics, and he now brings over a decade of combined tutoring, mentoring, and teaching experience to his students. He speaks three languages (English, Arabic, and French) and is passionate about helping learners build confidence through clear, supportive, and personalized instruction. Outside of academics, Samir previously founded and operated a science-focused startup, reflecting his commitment to translating scientific ideas into real-world impact. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, strategy games, and reading.

 

Michael O.

Michael Orrett is a pending Ontario Certified Secondary Teacher. He grew up in Whitby, Ontario and completed an Undergraduate Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 2024. He earned a Graduate Diploma in Secondary School Teaching from the Auckland University of Technology in 2025. Michael has over ten (10) years of experience teaching and mentoring diverse learners, from his time as a tennis club professional coaching at the Fenelon Falls Tennis Club, to teaching first-year Chemical Engineering Students at the University of Waterloo. During his teaching practicum in New Zealand, he taught Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to students from Grades 8 to 12 at Westlake Boys High School and Glenfield College. His experiences in these schools deepened his appreciation for culturally responsive and relationship-focused teaching. Michael believes that by building strong relationships and fostering curiosity, students can develop both confidence and a genuine love of learning. He continues to refine his teaching practice to help students connect their learning to the real world through inquiry, problem-solving, and creativity.

 

Priyanka G.

Priyanka G. holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics and brings over ten years of tutoring experience to her students. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for education, she has successfully guided learners from Grade 8 through university level, helping them build confidence and achieve measurable academic growth. Priyanka specializes in offering personalized support tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. Nigah T. (N. T.) is a dedicated fourth-year student in the BMOS Finance and Administration program at Western University. She’s not just a student though, she brings advanced professional expertise from her prior work in Data Analytics and Business Innovation, giving her a real-world perspective that truly elevates her tutoring. NT’s approach is to simplify the toughest concepts: she doesn’t believe in rote memorisation, but in helping students build a solid conceptual framework so they can tackle any problem with confidence.

Samira S. is a third year student at Western University completing an Honours Specialization in Biology. Passionate about pursuing medicine in the future, she combines her academic excellence with a deep curiosity for the human body and health sciences. With a 3.84 GPA, she has excelled in courses such as Biology 1001, Chemistry 1301, Calculus 1000, and Psychology 1002, demonstrating both analytical and problem solving strengths. Personally, Samira faced her own challenges during her first year as she learned to navigate university life and balance her responsibilities. Despite these struggles, she maintained a high GPA through determination and resilience. Now, in her third year, she has developed strong study strategies and time management skills, which allow her to perform confidently and efficiently in her coursework. Beyond academics, Samira is an active member of the Western community. She serves as an International Western Ambassador, helping students adjust to university life, and has held executive positions in several clubs, her personal favorites being the Women’s Health Research Association and the PCOS Awareness Club. These experiences reflect her commitment to women’s health advocacy and scientific research. Outside the classroom, Samira enjoys painting, fashion, makeup, and kickboxing, embracing confidence through creativity and self expression.
