Maxx F.

ENG: Maxx recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Concordia University, having completed three internships throughout. His participation as a karate instructor and experience tutoring a range of ages has helped structure his knack for encouraging effective learning techniques in students, tailored to their needs.
Maxx finds great importance in meeting students at their level, and helping them develop healthy study habits outside of tutoring sessions. He recognizes the value of patience and engagement in a classroom setting, and sees to it that a student’s concerns in matters of studies, stress and time management are addressed.
In addition to academics, Maxx is highly interested in topics like the process of game development, web programming/UX, snowboarding and cooking!

Sa participation en tant qu’instructeur de karaté ainsi que son expérience comme tuteur pour une gamme d’âges ont contribué à structurer son talent pour encourager des techniques d’apprentissage efficaces chez les étudiants, adaptées à leurs besoins.
Maxx attache une grande importance au fait de rencontrer les élèves à leur niveau et de les aider à développer de bonnes habitudes d’étude en dehors des séances de tutorat. Il reconnaît la valeur de la patience et de l’engagement dans une salle de classe, et veille à ce que les préoccupations des étudiants en matière d’études, de stress et de gestion du temps soient prises en compte.

PATRICK L.

Patrick holds a Master’s degree in Education and brings over 15 years of experience as a dedicated and results-oriented educator. He has a strong track record of success in teaching and tutoring Mathematics, Sciences, Biology, and Chemistry across a range of grade levels. Throughout his career, Patrick has remained passionate about promoting academic excellence and nurturing students’ confidence in their learning abilities. His teaching approach is student-centered, focused on creating a supportive and engaging environment tailored to individual needs, while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

 

 

SALVADOR F.

Salvador F. is a graduate of the University of Guelph, where he completed his Master’s degree in Physics after earning a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Statistics. Over the past several years, Sal has worked closely with high school and undergraduate students as both a Teaching Assistant and private tutor, supporting them in math and physics courses ranging from Calculus and Linear Algebra to Mechanics and Quantum Theory. His approach blends patience, clarity, and a genuine enthusiasm for making complex topics more accessible.

Sal has led classrooms of up to 300 students, delivered lab sessions and seminars, and worked one-on-one with learners of all skill levels. He is especially skilled at helping students build confidence in their problem-solving abilities and develop a deeper understanding of foundational math and science concepts. Outside of teaching, Sal has contributed to scientific research as part of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, applying data analysis and programming skills to explore the geology of Mars.

In his spare time, Sal enjoys lifting weights, learning new programming tools, and reading about space science and technology. He believes that a good tutor not only teaches content but also inspires curiosity — and maybe even a love of learning along the way.

 

 

ATSMON Y.

Atsmon holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science and an MBA with a focus on Technology Management and Operations Research. With over eight years of teaching experience, he specializes in Math, Physics, Optics, and Data Management for high school students.

Passionate about guiding students to reach their full potential, Atsmon fosters “a-ha” moments through personalized communication and by connecting lessons to students’ individual interests. His approach enhances engagement, deepens understanding, and makes learning more enjoyable. Atsmon has worked with a diverse range of students, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and high-achieving students aiming to excel. His experience spans various academic levels, including academic, IB and AP courses.

Outside the classroom, Atsmon enjoys music, cycling, hiking, exploring nature, attending theater performances, and live concerts

 

Bianca B.

Bianca is a third year Concurrent Education student majoring in mathematics at Queen’s University, Kingston where she has been on the Dean’s Honour List for three consecutive years. In 2022, she graduated high school from Bayview Glen Independent School with recognition and awards in French. During her time at Bayview Glen, she tutored many individuals in math as well as the French language. She broke down topics which made it easier for the students to understand. Her teaching journey includes a shadow experience at Bayview Glen Independent School and a current practicum at Annunciation Catholic School, where she supports small group learning, helps with lessons, and assists in day-to-day classroom routines.

Bianca is extremely determined and passionate about helping students succeed. Having struggled with math herself, she understands how frustrating it can be to have trouble grasping a concept—and she knows what it takes to overcome those challenges. She believes that success comes from asking multiple questions, practicing consistently, and not giving up on yourself. For her, repetition and determination are the key ingredients to real progress and confidence in math.

During her free time, Bianca enjoys reading, listening to music and playing basketball.

 

 

BRIANNA M.

Brianna is pursuing a Bachelors of Math and Education with a minor in French at the University of Lethbridge. Brianna excelled during her first practicum, receiving high marks and outstanding feedback. Including comments regarding a natural teaching ability, and a strong passion for teaching.

 

 

LIAM H-N.

Liam has a PhD in biophysics, a Master’s in physics, and a Bachelor’s degree in physics with a math minor, he brings a deep academic background and nearly a decade of teaching experience to his tutoring. He has worked extensively as a teaching assistant in university-level physics and computational courses, where he specialized in helping students break down complex ideas and develop true understanding through guided problem-solving. He has also mentored undergraduate research students and taught swimming to kids aged 3–12, giving him a wide range of experience working with learners of all ages.

Liam is especially excited to work with high school students in Grade 11 and 12 Physics. His approach is friendly and supportive— he likes to ask questions that help students figure things out for themselves and really build confidence. Outside of tutoring, he plays a lot of music, and loves volleyball and canoeing.

AGNES S.

Agnes has a BSc from York University and has been tutoring for over 7 years in ELA, Physics, and Math for grades K-12. She believes that every child learns differently so she prioritizes individualized attention and adapts her teaching style to meet the unique goals and learning preferences of each student. Her mission is to empower students by building both the confidence and the skills necessary for success. When Agnes is not teaching or studying, she loves hiking, rock-climbing, baking and handicrafts.

I am a passionate academic tutor committed to helping students excel in their studies and build confidence.

At the Academy for Mathematics & English, I provided personalized support through one-on-one and small-group sessions, fostering understanding and academic growth.

At Columbia International College, I guided senior students in math, science, and business courses, assisting them in mastering course material and using digital tools effectively.

With volunteer experience in teaching English as a Second Language and experience as a teaching assistant, I excel in curriculum design, lesson planning, and personalized instruction. My dedication to tailored teaching and open communication ensures the students perpetrate meaningful progress in their academic journey.

 

 

Eduardo R.

Eduardo is an experienced and versatile tutor who brings both academic depth and real-world insight to every session. With an Honours BA in Economics from Brock University (where he graduated first in his class), a Master’s from Western University, and doctoral-level coursework at McGill, he has supported students across a wide range of subjects—including economics, business, accounting, mathematics (from algebra to calculus), and Spanish, his native language. He’s worked with learners from high school through to the master’s level, always adapting his approach to meet students needs and understanding where they are in their learning journey.

Over the years, Eduardo has served as a teaching assistant and lecturer at Brock, Western, and McGill, and currently works as a Manager in EY Canada’s Economic Advisory group. His teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, curiosity, and critical thinking—encouraging students to explore the deeper meaning behind concepts and understand how ideas connect across disciplines. His approach is thoughtful and flexible, with an eye toward building confidence and long-term learning.

Outside of tutoring, Eduardo can be found cheering on Real Madrid, playing in local baseball and soccer leagues, traveling with his fiancée, or playing FIFA/EAFC. He believes that when students feel comfortable asking questions and digging into the “why,” learning becomes both meaningful and memorable.
