Shivani Jain is passionate about helping students excel in math and science. She has 13 years of experience working with middle-school, high-school, and college students.
Shivani has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in math, physics, and chemistry — as well as a master’s degree in International Business.
She is an ideal math tutor for students in algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, calculus (1, 2, AP, AB, and BC), physics, and chemistry. In addition, Shivani thrives on helping middle- and high-school students prepare for Mathcounts and AMC 8/10 competitions.

GIRISA M.
Girisa is a university math tutor with experience teaching math to both high school and university students. She graduated from Queen’s University in Applied Mathematics and Engineering with First Class Honors, also winning prestigious math awards. Her specialty is calculus and she has covered all levels throughout her undergraduate degree (Level I, II and III). Girisa loves to teach students all the tips and tricks she has learnt throughout her years of school. She is patient, kind, and accommodating, making her a terrific teacher! In her free time she loves exploring the outdoors and doing activities like hiking as she finds it relaxing.
Dr. Ingrid U.
Ingrid Ulbrich is a passionate and tenacious educator who believes in the unlimited potential of all students to enjoy and succeed in STEM. In addition to helping students learn math and science, she helps them take ownership of their learning and strengthen their learning skills. Ingrid’s enthusiasm for STEM and learning shines through in all of her interactions with students.
Ingrid is a graduate of Niwot High School, MIT (B.S., Environmental Engineering) and the University of Colorado – Boulder (Ph.D., Atmospheric and Analytical Chemistry). She has 20 years of experience tutoring in STEM subjects, including 10+ years of teaching college chemistry.
When she’s not working with students, Ingrid probably has a spatula, musical score, book, or knitting needles in her hands. And maybe a cat in her lap, too!

Kevin has a Bachelor’s degree in Materials and Nanosciences from the University of Waterloo. He teaches high school chemistry, physics and math and has been a tutor since March 2020. He is currently working as a quality control technician at a coatings company. In his off time he likes to play video games, play music and fish.

Kathir Brabaharan has a PhD in Chemistry and has been an educator for more than thirty years. He retired as a Curriculum Leader for Mathematics from Sir John A. Macdonald C.I. and went to China for few years as a Mathematics/Physics teacher. Kathir won the Descartes Medal in 2009 for promoting Mathematics across Ontario. He is truly passionate about teaching and learning mathematics and problem solving.

Alex K.
Alex works with advanced-level students, teaching various topics in mathematics.
Presently she is completing a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics specializing in quantum information at the University of Waterloo. As well she holds an Hon.BSc (Mathematics Specialist) from the University of Toronto.
In her capacity as a graduate teaching assistant, she lectures, runs tutorials and office hours for undergraduate mathematics courses at the University of Waterloo. For those students planning to pursue a STEM education, she can provide academic and career guidance.
In her spare time, she works on experimental physics research projects at the Institute for Quantum Computing developing quantum sensing technologies.
BABAK B-V.
Babak has been teaching mathematics to University and highschool students for more than 10 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2008 in Iran. He was a researcher at the Center of Excellence in Biomathematics, University of Tehran. He collaborated in two projects that were published in the Journal of Neurocomputing.
Babak got his master’s degree in Mathematics at Queen’s University in 2016. His field of research is differential geometry and mathematical physics. He wrote his master’s thesis on the Geometry of Dirac Operators.
Babak was a teaching assistant and a research assistant at Queen’s University and Western University. He has been also teaching at the The Bahá’í Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) for more than ten years now. He has taught courses like Differential Equations, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Advanced Engineering Mathematics.
Moreover, Babak teaches mathematics contest preparation classes such as Waterloo Math competitions for three years now. He taught the Putnam Contest preparation class at Western University in 2019 and 2020.
ANDREA R.
Andrea is a fourth year student at the University of Toronto completing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science, with plans to graduate in 2023. She has IB certificates in Mathematics, Economics, English, and French. Andrea loves working with kids and has been tutoring for the past four years. She has a passion for math and has received the Waterloo Math Contest Certificate of Distinction for Top Scoring 25% of All Competitors in 2016 and 2017. Andrea also enjoys robotics and programming. She won 5th Place Overall at the FLL Robotics World Competition in Arkansas, USA (2015), 4th Place Overall at the FLL Robotics World Competition along with the programming award in Toronto (2014), 2nd Place at the FLL Robotics Provincial Competition (2014 and 2015), and 1st Place at the FLL Robotics Regional Competition in Toronto (2012-2015). In her free time, Andrea enjoys playing the piano and going on walks. Andrea is people oriented, positive, easy going, diplomatic and reliable with excellent leadership skills.
