MITRA G.

Mitra G. holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Ontario Technology University and a Bachelor’s in Materials Engineering. With over three years of experience, Mitra has taught a wide range of subjects, including math, physics, chemistry, computer science, various software, english, and piano, to students from primary school to undergraduate levels. She has a deep understanding of the Ontario curriculum and uses dynamic, interactive teaching strategies to help students master challenging concepts. She builds strong, reliable connections with students to create a positive engaging learning environment.
Mitra’s academic career includes few published papers and international conference presentations, reflecting her expertise and passion for education. Her teaching approach has consistently led to significant academic improvements, with students raising their grades by up to 15% through focused problem-solving review sessions. As a teaching assistant at Ontario Tech University, she taught courses such as thermodynamics, heat transfer and metals forming, further refining her ability to break down complex topics with clarity and precision. Kyle H.

Kyle is an experienced BC licensed science teacher with 14 years of
experience in as a classroom teacher. He completed a Bachelor of Science
in Biology/Chemistry at the University of Alberta as well as a Bachelor
and Master of Education at the University of Victoria and the University
of New Brunswick respectively. Over the years, Kyle has taught many
science courses including Science 10, Biology 11/12, Chemistry 11/12, AP
Chemistry and Physics 11/12. With a passion for inspiring learning and a
knack for making complex concepts accessible, Kyle provides
individualized hands on supports for each learner. His goal is to
empower each learner with the confidence and skills they need to succeed
academically and beyond. When Kyle is not teaching, he loves to travel
around the world and immerse himself in new cultures in far-away and
unique places such as Mongolia, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea.

Vincent L.

Vincent is a graduate from the University of Waterloo who obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Biology. He is currently enrolled in the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology dual program at the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute, pursuing to become a medical radiation technologist.
Vincent is well-versed in tutoring math and sciences at the high school and first year university level, with private tutoring experience spanning over 6 years. He was enrolled in a peer-tutoring program to ensure that he understands the needs of his students and strives to see them succeed. He worked with numerous grade 12 students to ensure that their transition to post-secondary went smoothly.
He is very compassionate when it comes to teaching, he understands that everyone has their own learning style and learns at their own pace. Vincent shows dedication and commitment to student education, making him a competent and caring educator.

Melissa H.

Melissa holds a Master of Science in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology from the University of Toronto, where she developed a strong foundation in biomedical sciences. She recently furthered her education by pursuing a Master of Public Health at New York University, where she concentrated in epidemiology. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA and an award for thesis excellence, Melissa demonstrated her dedication to academic rigor and her ability to excel in complex scientific subjects.

With over two years of experience as a math and science tutor, Melissa has worked with students ranging from elementary to undergraduate levels, helping them strengthen their comprehension of STEM-related courses and reach their full academic potential. Her teaching approach is characterized by clarity, patience, kindness, and a desire to make learning fun! During her graduate studies, Melissa also served as a course assistant, hosting weekly office hours and delivering frequent guest lectures. These experiences have refined her ability to teach complex topics and provide the tools necessary for academic success.

Melissa currently works in clinical research at The Hospital for Sick Children, where she contributes to advancements in the field of chronic disease. Despite her existing role, she remains deeply committed to teaching and mentoring–one of her passions! Melissa strives to spark excitement in STEM fields and takes great joy in helping students reach their academic goals while fostering a lifelong love for learning.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling, discovering new coffee shops, painting, and diving into a good book!

Yechan L.

Yechan is an accomplished educational professional with over two years of tutoring and mentorship experience, specializing in Chemistry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biological Engineering from Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea. He is currently pursuing a Diploma in International Business Management at Greystone College in British Columbia, Canada.

Yechan has a proven track record of creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that drive student success. During his time as a private tutor in Seoul, he developed customized curricula in Chemistry, English, and Mathematics, which resulted in a 35% improvement in student grades. His strong communication skills also allowed him to build effective relationships with students and their parents, offering tailored academic guidance.

In addition to his teaching experience, Yechan has worked as a lab assistant at Konkuk University, where he managed research teams, ensured lab safety, and maintained equipment for accurate experimentation. Morgan F.

Morgan graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science Education, with a concentration in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. She completed her student teaching in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she taught 6th and 8th grade science. After graduating, she was an Au Pair for a year in Bilbao, Spain, where she lived with a family, helping take care of the kids and teaching them English. When she returned to the States, she spent the next year and a half teaching experiential science education at Keystone Science School in Colorado. Morgan loved how her classroom was outside every day, even in the snow, and facilitating hands-on science activities. Most recently, Morgan was able to combine her passion for traveling and teaching by leading a language and cultural immersion program in Costa Rica with a group of high school students. Morgan is dedicated to inspiring the next generation and building meaningful connections with her students along the way. When Morgan isn’t teaching or traveling, you can find her skiing, hiking, or biking in the mountains; kayaking or swimming in a lake; or curled up with a good book!

 

ANASH C.

Anash has a honors Bachelor’s degree of Medical Science, and Master’s Degree in Environmental Public Health. He has worked as a tutor for 10 years and has taught primary, junior, and secondary Math, Sciences and English. He has also taught university level chemistry, biology and physiology courses. In his free time, Anash likes to plays sports like hockey, baseball, tennis and basketball.

JESPER D. B.

Jesper is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he obtained a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology. He is proficient in biology, chemistry & mathematics at high school & university levels and has tutored students and peers from Grades 9-12. Jesper is passionate about education and helping others understand the curriculum material and succeed in their studies. He is looking forward to making an impact in students’ learning by encouraging discussion, curiosity and application. Jesper is a native of Newmarket and is fluent in Dutch and English. In his spare time, Jesper loves travelling, taking his two dogs, Simba and Koda for walks, reading a good book, or chatting about science.”

 

ADELAIDE G

Adelaide is a second year medical student at the University of St. Andrew’s, Scotland, in the six year direct medical program. She graduated high school in 2023 from the University of Toronto Schools (UTS) with distinction and awards in Chemistry, Biology, and community service. At UTS, she tutored grade 11 level Chemistry students and acted as a school Prefect.

Her love of working with kids grew when she became a hands-on and inclusive therapeutic recreation volunteer at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. She is also a lifeguard during summer months where she supervises kids to ensure a safe and fun environment.

Over this period of time, Adelaide has developed a deep desire to aid young middle school aged teens in reaching their full potentials and excelling academically. She believes in having someone friendly, organized, and encouraging to help any student gain confidence in Science and Math courses, while also offering specialized help in organizational skills and time management. Finally, she has significant experience in preparing for the UCAT examination. As such, she is available to Grade 11 students interested in applying to direct medical programs in the United Kingdom.

In Adelaide’s spare time she enjoys hiking with her dog, cycling, volunteering with seniors, and yoga. At university she’s a member of the Medical Society and the recreational tennis team.

 

STEPHANIE A.

Stephanie is an enthusiastic teacher candidate with her OCT transitional certificate (2024), holding a bilingual Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology from York University (2022) and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University (2025), specializing in Intermediate and Senior education. During school, she excelled in French, Chemistry, Biology and tutors these subjects as well as G9/10 Math & Science, G11 Functions & G12 Advanced Functions.
Stephanie prioritizes being able to connect with her students. She is always in the know about what’s going on in students’ worlds and makes sure to deliver her lessons in a language that students can not only relate to, but also comfortably internalize. She tailors her lessons to emphasize students’ strengths and to encourage students to become comfortable with the material in the ways that best facilitate their learning.
Outside of running science experiments for her students, Stephanie spends her afternoons playing volleyball or curled up in a chair with a good book and her cat, Lily
