SAACHI G.

Saachi Gupta is a Data Science student at the University of Calgary with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. She maintains a solid GPA while completing coursework in Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science using Python and Java.

Saachi is a graduate of Western Canada High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program, where she studied Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Business. Her IB background has strengthened her analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and disciplined approach to learning.

She is passionate about helping students build confidence and develop a deep understanding of academic concepts. Saachi focuses on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and adapting her teaching style to suit each student’s individual learning needs. She creates a supportive and encouraging environment that allows students to feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging in their learning.

Saachi is particularly experienced in supporting students in mathematics and related subjects across K-12 levels, as well as assisting with study strategies and exam preparation. She is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals while fostering independent learning skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Kylie S.

Kylie is an NYC-based tutor with nine years of experience working with students from 3rd grade through the undergraduate level. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, where she served as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate chemistry and public health courses, and she holds a Master of Health Sciences in Mental Health from Johns Hopkins. Her academic background informs her planned graduate training in clinical psychology, with a focus on child and adolescent development. Kylie completed the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and is particularly familiar with the demands of AP and IB coursework. She provides individualized instruction in elementary and middle school math and reading, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and Biology, and she supports students preparing for AP and IB exams as well as college applications and personal essays. Her teaching style emphasizes conceptual understanding, academic confidence, and tailored learning strategies that help students thrive in rigorous academic environments. Outside of tutoring, Kylie enjoys creating art, writing, and spending time with her rescue cat, Bear.

JACQUELINE L.

Jacqueline is an experienced tutor with a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. She has several years of experience tutoring Science, Math, and English to students from Grades 3 to 12, as well as high school Biology and Chemistry across both the OSSD and IB curricula. Jacqueline is passionate about teaching and helping students build confidence in their learning while developing independence in problem-solving.

An enthusiastic lifelong learner, she has studied music, French, Spanish, and German, giving her insight into the challenges of mastering new material and enabling her to teach students effective strategies for learning across disciplines. Outside of tutoring, Jacqueline is a dedicated piano teacher and piano teacher who enjoys making music and practicing languages in her spare time.

Richard F.

Richard F. is a STEM educator and, since 2023, a one-to-one learning specialist at Fusion Academy, a premier 1-to-1 private school in Malvern, PA. There, he delivers highly personalized instruction in math, science, and executive-function skills. He has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners, including those with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.

Richard holds a biotechnology degree from Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ), where he won multiple scholarships and earned Deans List honors. He served as a teaching assistant for Ethics in Science under Julie Fagan and as a research assistant in social psychology under Stephen Kilianski and in biochemistry under William Belden. Before entering education, Richard worked as a scientist and engineer in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sector for companies including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Sanofi, and Penn Medicine. Richard served as the Environmental Monitoring Program Lead for UPenn’s CRISPR immunotherapy laboratories under Carl June and Bruce Levine and supported the COVID-19 vaccine emergency release at Johnson & Johnson. He also completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training with Lockheed Martin and served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Northern New Jersey Chapter of APICS.

Outside of the classroom, Richard is an award-winning competitive powerlifter and poker player. He has competed against some of the world’s top professional poker players on internationally viewed live-stream broadcasts, including Doug Polk’s The Lodge (2022), applying performance psychology, probability-based thinking, and disciplined decision-making to his teaching approach. He also plays piano and sings, having performed internationally and at Carnegie Hall on multiple occasions with the Nutley High School music program. Richard has appeared in several amateur high school and college stage productions including The Wiz, Pirates of Penzance, and Made in the Philippines. He has also appeared as a guest musician featured on Hong Kong’s Regal Airport social media channels.

Jimmy L.

Todd P.

Todd P. is a highly experienced science and test preparation specialist with nearly two decades of experience in education. Since beginning his career in 2006, he has taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and AP Physics, helping students develop deep conceptual understanding and lasting confidence in challenging subjects.

In addition to his classroom teaching, Todd has served as a content coordinator for both Judson ISD and Houston ISD, giving him strong insight into curriculum standards, assessment design, and academic expectations across grade levels.

Seema M.

Seema brings forth a wealth of teaching experience. With over 25 years of service for the TDSB and private tutoring institutions, Seema has worked with students of varying levels in both elementary and secondary capacities. Graduating from UofT with an honours specialist degree in Chemistry and French, and a Bachelor’s of Education degree from Queen’s University Seema seamlessly moves between subjects within the Ontario curriculum. In her spare time she is a freelance writer and director who has contributed articles to literary journals and produced documentary films for the National Film Board of Canada.

Miranda D.

Miranda is a graduate student with a strong foundation in health sciences, research, and student mentorship. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and was placed on the Dean’s Honour List, which recognizes undergraduate students with exceptional academic records.

In her undergraduate studies, Miranda held leadership roles as President of Chess and Health, a non-profit organization using chess to promote cognitive benefits in children and older adults, and as Co-President of the Global Society of Genetics and Genome Biology, an organization dedicated to advancing research for genetic disorders. She has also worked as a research assistant in the Walia Lab, studying how the immune system responds to gene-based treatments for cerebral creatine deficiency syndromes.

Miranda is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at the Robarts Research Institute in London, Ontario, focusing on blood-based biomarkers and neurotoxic protein clearance in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. She is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for MEDSCI 3990, a hands-on laboratory course. Miranda values building strong, supportive relationships with students and enjoys making difficult scientific concepts easier to understand. In her free time, she can be found playing tennis, attending fitness classes, and spending time with her friends and family.

Chris R.

Chris R. is research scientist in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studies gene regulation and teaches biochemistry.

As a teacher/tutor, Chris enjoys creating a dynamic learning environment and mentoring students through examples of chemistry and biochemistry in the real world.

Chris’s interest in science started in high school biology, where he became fascinated with the molecules that make up life and how they all work together (to the point of asking for a microscope for Christmas).

He went on to pursue this interest at Boston College where he earned a B.S. in Biochemistry. While in Boston, Chris did cancer research at Harvard Medical School and had his work published.

After graduating, Chris pursued his passion for teaching at Cristo Rey College Prep High School in Fort Worth, Texas — where he taught Chemistry and AP Chemistry. Concurrently, Chris received his M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame in Secondary Science Education.

While teaching, Chris decided to take his passion for science to the next level by pursuing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry.

Outside of work and school, Chris likes to play golf, ski, fish, play guitar, and make the most of the outdoor recreation available in Boulder!

Ella M.

EN: Ella is a graduate student studying developmental neuroscience at the University of Toronto. She graduated from McGill University with a BSc in Honours Biochemistry in the spring of 2025. Through her educational career she has gained a strong knowledge of biology and chemistry, as well as science communication and research. She has years of teaching experience and is passionate about teaching fundamental studying and organizational skills that will benefit students in every aspect of life. Ella is available for online tutoring sessions and looks forward to collaborating with her students to help them succeed!
