Rebekah A.

Rebekah A. (she/they) is completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Villanova University. Her counseling background, combined with over a decade of experience working with children, make it easy to build strong bonds with each student that she tutors. As a counselor, Rebekah believes that the best changes happens when a student feels comfortable and safe in a learning environment, so her first priority is to cultivate a trusting relationship with each child and family. Parents appreciate her patience, kindness, and sincerity.

Rebekah’s diverse tutoring experiences make her an ideal fit for a wide range of families. Her years of experience tutoring students ages 7-22 make her perfect for families with multiple children in need of support, and Rebekah’s multidisciplinary expertise qualifies her to tutor in many subject areas, including languages, writing, math, biology, and chemistry. Most notably, Rebekah specializes in math support (4th grade-algebra 2) for students with math learning disorders (dyscalculia). She also has four years of experience as a professional writing tutor, assisting students of many ages to improve their writing in English, Spanish, and Italian.

A lifelong learner, Rebekah has always been drawn to the helping professions. As a future therapist, she values the relational aspect of tutoring, and looks forward to supporting your child on their journey towards success.

GRACE N.

Grace is currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Calgary. She first gained teaching experience working as a children’s Karate teacher. As an instructor, Grace helped children develop confidence and focus, simultaneously learning how to keep things fun while managing high-energy personalities and difficult learning situations. Additionally, Grace built upon her experiences by tutoring high school students through peer tutoring programs. This is where she was able to strengthen her abilities in simplifying complex topics while being empathetic and encouraging. Through both her experience as a tutor, and as a student herself, Grace has learned many strategies to work with different learning styles and achieve success.

Tutoring is very meaningful to Grace, as she loves to help others learn and grow. Though currently enrolled in engineering, Grace’s love for teaching has inspired her to pursue an education degree once completing her current studies. When not busy with school, Grace likes to spend her time drawing and helping out in her community! Whether it’s helping someone solve a tricky math problem or encouraging a student to reach their full potential, Grace finds true joy in supporting others in their educational journeys!

EMMA N.

Emma graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She is moving to Toronto this summer to start her Master’s in Translational Health Sciences at the University of Toronto. Emma started tutoring in 2020 as a summer school tutor for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board under the Focus On Youth Program. While with the WECDSB, she tutored students in grades 11 and 12 in math, Civics/careers, and an ESL (English as a second language) student in grade 11 English. She also gained ample experience tutoring students with learning disabilities, such as processing delays, and tutoring AP and IB courses. Emma enjoyed tutoring so much with WECDSB that she became a private tutor. Since then, she has specialized in tutoring high school and post-secondary students in math, chemistry, and biology. She tailors her lessons individually to each of her students and uses practical, real-life examples to explain concepts. Emma strives to instill the skills and confidence her students need to succeed, not just in the classroom but also in life. Emma enjoys watching anime, reading, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.

ADISVARA A.

Adisvara A. is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program at Toronto Metropolitan University. Originally from Coimbatore, India, Adisvara completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering, where he first discovered his passion for teaching. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he tutored high school students in math, physics, chemistry, and computer science, helping them build confidence and develop strong foundations in STEM subjects.

During his graduate studies in Canada, Adisvara completed the CLT-100 course focused on teaching and learning strategies, and soon after became a Teaching Assistant for two advanced university-level courses—Graph Mining and Deep Learning. In these roles, he conducted lab classes, provided one-on-one student support, and developed and graded assignments. His experience as a TA has strengthened his ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, approachable way. Whether it’s using real-world analogies or building interactive dashboards, Adisvara ensures that each student connects with the subject in a meaningful way.

Adisvara believes that strong student–tutor relationships form the foundation of effective learning. He takes time to understand how each student learns best and tailors his sessions accordingly—always starting from the basics and building step- by-step. His students describe him as patient, creative, and highly engaging. In his spare time, Adisvara enjoys going to the gym, playing badminton and basketball, and working on AI projects that combine technology and social impact.

Tedi C.

Tedi graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Toxicology, earning a place on the Dean’s List for six out of eight semesters. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at Western University and will be a fully qualified teacher by January 2026.

With over five years of experience tutoring students in grades 4-12 in science and math, Tedi is passionate about fostering curiosity and critical thinking in his students. He believes in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel confident in their abilities and are encouraged to develop problem-solving skills. His approach to teaching emphasizes student-centered learning, real-world applications of scientific concepts, and the development of strong foundational knowledge.

Tedi is committed to helping students reach their full academic potential by adapting his teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. He values the importance of building strong relationships with his students and strives to make science and math accessible and enjoyable. Outside of teaching, Tedi is passionate about fitness and enjoys staying active through hiking, running, weightlifting and skiing. A dedicated sports fan, he enjoys tuning into NBA and NHL games on his free time.

BRIANNA M.

Brianna is pursuing a Bachelors of Math and Education with a minor in French at the University of Lethbridge. Brianna excelled during her first practicum, receiving high marks and outstanding feedback. Including comments regarding a natural teaching ability, and a strong passion for teaching.

Jaden A.

Jaden graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in French. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work on research in a chemistry lab during a five-month study abroad in Strasbourg, France. Jaden has worked in teaching roles for children all her life, and she’s spent the last year teaching middle school science (6th-8th grade) at a K-12 school. She helped further develop the curricula and increased the emphasis on laboratory experiments each class, convicted to teach through hands-on experience. Whether she is teaching horseback riding or forces and work, Jaden believes that allowing students to forge their own way to understanding Nature’s laws helps them develop confidence and fires their curiosity.

TALHA C.

Talha C. is a dedicated researcher and educator pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Physiology at the University of Toronto. He holds an Honors Bachelor of Science from U of T in Neuroscience, with minors in Physiology and Biology, from which he graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.91/4.0, recent 3-year GPA of 3.96/4.0, and an MCAT score of 519/528 (96th percentile). He currently holds a 4.0/4.0 in his MSc program. His research focuses on the effects of insulin sensitizers on atherosclerosis, with expertise in advanced surgical techniques and metabolic assays. He has contributed to and co-authored multiple research projects, including studies on antipsychotic-induced metabolic dysfunction and hippocampal learning, with an abstract accepted for oral presentation at the American Diabetes Association’s 85th Scientific Sessions. Talha has secured prestigious scholarships like the Research and Health Science Education Entrance Scholarship, awarded to the top 2% of candidates entering graduate programs at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Beyond research, he is an experienced teaching assistant, supporting physiology and biomedical courses, and mentoring undergraduate students in laboratory techniques and thesis writing at the University of Toronto.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Talha has extensive experience in volunteerism, editing, and advocacy. Olivia B.

Olivia grew up in Ontario and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Ottawa. With a strong academic background in the sciences and extensive experience tutoring children, she is now preparing to attend teacher’s college to pursue her passion for education.

Olivia has experience working in childcare and strives to deliver an engaging and fun learning environment tailored to each students learning style. Her approach is patient, supportive, and structured, ensuring that children feel encouraged while building essential skills for success.

Beyond teaching, Olivia has travelled all over Europe and Australia and has developed a passion for travelling. In her free time Olivia enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding and the occasional polar plunge to keep things interesting (and very cold). She is currently living full time in Whistler and taking in all the beautiful things that Whistler has to offer!
