IOANA M.
Ioana Manda is an honours specialist Mathematics teacher with close to 20 years of teaching experience at TDSB. During her career, she has taught grade 9 to 12 Mathematics courses at academic/university and enriched levels, including the grade 12 Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors and Data Management courses.
Ms. Manda holds a diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bucharest, Romania, and a Master of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of Toronto. Her two areas of qualifications are intermediate/senior Mathematics and Computer Science.
Ms. Manda is a caring teacher with an ability to connect to her students and a desire to ensure their academic success. She has a proven track record of preparing students in a one-to-one setting for achieving excellence in their Mathematical studies.

STONE Y.
Stone is a former software engineer with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. As a software engineer, he worked in the financial and cryptocurrency space at companies such as Vanguard and Morgan Stanley. He currently teaches Engineering and Robotics in high school.
Stone takes an individualized approach with every student he works with. He believe rapport and mutual respect are the foundations from which successful habits can be formed. Meta-skills in self-learning, problem solving, and critical thinking are extremely important to long term success and Stone works to develop these alongside any curriculum.
AMMA O.
Amma is a primary teacher who obtained her Bachelor of Education from York University in 2014. Amma is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is currently with the Toronto District School Board. Amma enjoys working with students in the primary grades on all subjects. Amma believes in the importance of building a solid relationship with her students and families for student academic achievement. In addition to teaching, Amma is currently finishing her computer science degree at Algoma University. She enjoys drumming and coding in python.
FARAZ A.
Faraz is a Master’s Student at McMaster University, studying Computational Science and Engineering. He finished his undergrads at the top technical university in his country, studying Electrical Engineering. Since the beginning of his post-secondary degrees, Faraz have been tutoring and assisting students in a variety of subjects, such as Math and Physics, for more than 6 years now. Moreover, he have been a Teacher’s Assistant for more than three years. VINI O.
Vini has a degree in Electrical Engineering. During university, he specialized in programming and logic. He worked with software consultancy for a while and now he is pursuing a degree in Game Development. For the past 18 months, Vini has been using his industry experience and his knowledge of math and programming to instruct kids and teenagers in robotics. During his work with robotics, he developed a great way to communicate with young minds and started tutoring not only so he could help kids boost their grades, but also so he can improve their creative thinking and get them to achieve their full potential. Always in a good mood and with good energy, Vini is constantly trying to improve in order to share his knowledge with his students in an efficient way. In his spare time, Vini likes to play video games and watch sports, which means he can have a fun ice-breaking conversation after every tutoring session with both student and parents about the latest video game released or the latest football game.
YICHAO P.
Yichao graduated from the McMaster University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science. He is very knowledgeable in mathematical topics such as advanced functions and calculus. In addition, Yichao is proficient in several programming languages and the optimization of algorithms. In the past Yichao has worked with children at summer camps, where he taught them programming using an Arduino micro-controller. He is also a member Scouts Canada, where he would mentor high school aged youth. In his spare time, Yichao enjoys learning new programming languages, drawing and expressing himself creatively.

Greetings! My name is Ron and I am currently a Teacher Candidate earning my Bachelor of Education at University of Ontario Institute of Technology. My teachable subjects include Mathematics and General Science, however I am also well-versed in Physics and Computer Science. I achieved a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics during my undergrad at Ryerson University, touching upon all applications of Mathematics.
I have a strong passion for mathematics and physics, and have experience tutoring all subjects of mathematics for all ages. I am approachable, friendly, understanding, and easy to get along with, making the learning more personal and relatable for the learner.
TIFFANY A.
My name is Tiffany. I hold a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering. I have 3 years teaching experience at the College and University level in Computer Programming, Mathematics and Informatics. I enjoy opening up the world of Computer Science to new students, and bringing to life what is often considered a very dry area of study. I am very keen on teaching programming and computer science at the high school level. My main goal is to motivate students to want to learn and expand their horizons in this area, by showing them how useful it can be and how essential it is becoming in today’s world as a periphery to any field of study.
JENNIFER Y.
Jennifer is a Certified Teacher who holds an AQ in Special Education and specializes in working with students using Assistive Technology. As a Technology Consultant, she has supported over 180 students in the past year, by integrating learning strategies with specialized software in the York Region District School Board (YRDSB). Jennifer empowers her students through rapport building and differentiated instruction to effectively overcome learning barriers. She has worked with students with various exceptionalities including autism, ADHD, CP, dyslexia and auditory processing disorder.
Jennifer’s expertise in leading educational technology include: Google Apps for Education (GAFE), Google Read & Write, Kurzweil 3000, WordQ/SpeakQ, Dragon Naturallyspeaking and Smart Ideas. As software designed to support cognitive processing, teaching students how to effectively integrate them with authentic practice can help achieve better communication, writing, organization, comprehension and test-taking skills.
The combination of her Ontario curriculum knowledge from K-12 and familiarity of technology in education makes Jennifer effective in targeting individual student needs to boost self-confidence and independence. Recognizing the importance of family and community involvement, she values connections with parents and teachers/administration to keep communication about student progress open.
Since 2013, Jennifer has experience working with learning and literacy engagement programs in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and independent schools. The program she specializes in is a STEM-focused integration of social justice and literacy/numeracy. In addition to working with K-8, she also teaches grade 10-12 Ontario credit courses including English, Business and Social Sciences.
Jennifer holds a B.Ed. in the primary/junior divisions from Lakehead University as well as a B. Design from Ryerson University. She was certified by the Ontario College of Teachers in 2012. In addition, she also has AQs in Music and Intermediate History.
As a world traveler, Jennifer also has experience teaching ESL in South Korea for 3 years, running sewing and tailoring workshops in Sri Lanka and was involved with a literacy engagement camp in Onigaming First Nation, near Thunder Bay. Jennifer loves learning just as much as teaching. She is inspired by travel, photography and cooking. Her personal learning pursuits include becoming Google Certified, becoming better at plant identification and making time for crafts.
