Chandreen L.

Chandreen holds a research-based Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Lakehead University, Canada, where she was awarded a full scholarship. She also holds an MSc in Information Technology and a BSc specializing in Computer Science.

Chandreen has several years of teaching experience as a Lecturer at a leading public university in Sri Lanka and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Lakehead University. In addition, she has previous tutoring experience supporting school-age students in IT, helping them strengthen their understanding and succeed in their studies. Alongside her teaching work, she has professional experience in IT support, software development, and web development, which allows her to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications.

With a solid academic background and extensive teaching experience, Chandreen brings a supportive and encouraging approach to tutoring, using simple, real-life examples to elaborate on complex concepts and make learning relatable and engaging. Passionate about teaching computer science, she is deeply committed to preparing students for their learning journey and inspiring them to see the value of knowledge beyond the classroom.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction, baking and experimenting with new recipes, and tending to her garden. Her hobbies reflect her creativity, curiosity, and patience; qualities she brings into her teaching as well.

Chandreen is well-prepared to teach any computer studies subjects (ICD20, ICS3U, ICS3C, ICS4U, and ICS4C) within the Ontario secondary school curriculum. In addition, she has experience teaching a wide range of subjects at both college and university levels, including Introduction to Computer Science, MS Office Applications, Programming, Database Management Systems, Web Development, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, and Data Science; covering areas such as Data Mining, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Joseph R.

Joseph has taught Statistics and Actuarial Science courses at Western University in London Ontario for several years. He has also taught online classes at Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia. He was born and raised in Nova Scotia and currently lives in Ontario, where he continues to work at Western. He did his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Statistics at Acadia University and his Masters of Science in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at Western. He enjoys outdoor activities including swimming, canoeing and walking his dogs. He also enjoys time with his family and their household of cats and dogs.

Abhilash R.

Abhilash recently completed his Master of Science in Data Science & AI at Florida International University. Before that, he earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from Panjab University, where he also obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Before joining the academic field, he had the opportunity to work as a Big Data Engineer and participate in a Data Science internship at FIU. These experiences have equipped him with a robust Data Science and Mathematics foundation, and he’s eager to share his knowledge and passion for these subjects with his students.

Currently, he is working as an adjunct professor at FIU. Having served as a Mathematics/Statistics Instructor in India, he brings a diverse set of 5 years teaching experiences to the classroom.

He is proficient in teaching Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AP, College Algebra, College Pre-Calculus Algebra, Trigonometry, Advanced Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Calculus I, II, III, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Differential equations, Probability theory and mathematical Statistics, Statistics I, II, Physics, Data Science, AI, and Computer programming (Python, R, SQL). He is truly passionate about education and believes in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. His goal is to make STEM subjects not only accessible but also enjoyable for every student he teaches.
