JACLYN M.

Jaclyn is an Ontario and British Columbia certified teacher. She received her Bachelor of Education in 2021 following her undergraduate degree in psychology. After teaching grades 1-8 in Ontario for the past two years she is now enjoying her third year of teaching and her first year as part of the Vancouver School Board.

Jaclyn also has over three years of tutoring experience including a diverse range of students and subject areas. Jaclyn prides herself on really getting to know her learners. When tutoring she creates individualized, engaging and hands-on educational opportunities catered to the learning styles of each learner she works with.

Jaclyn is an easy-going, patient and reliable individual. In her free time she enjoys reading, board games, watching sports and any activity outdoors.

ELYSE L.

Elyse is a dedicated educator with teaching certificates from Ontario and British Columbia. She completed her Teachers College degree at Western University and her Undergraduate Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. With four years of teaching experience and over a decade in kid-centered establishments, Elyse creates engaging learning environments tailored to each student’s needs. In September 2021, she moved to Vancouver for new opportunities. Elyse’s dedication to educational excellence inspires her students, unlocking their potential. Her expertise and passion continue to make a positive impact in education.

Emma A.

Emma is a passionate and devoted Pure and Applied Sciences student at Marianopolis College. She attended The Study from kindergarten to Grade 11, where she took multiple AP curriculum classes and graduated with honours. She has been a tutor for over two years, working with students of all levels, from elementary school to CEGEP.

Swaeta M.

EN: Swaeta is a student studying Computer Science at McGill University. She has graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in pure and applied sciences. She is comfortable teaching in both English and French. She is able to cater to different teaching styles as she has experience tutoring in the past.

FR: Swaeta est étudiante en informatique à l’Université McGill. Elle est diplômée du Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf en sciences pures et appliquées. Elle est à l’aise d’enseigner en anglais et en français. Elle est capable de répondre à différents styles d’enseignement car elle a de l’expérience dans le tutorat dans le passé.

 

GABRIELA G.

Gabriela is a graduate from the Master of Teaching program at the University of Toronto – OISE, in the primary/junior/intermediate divisions. She holds a certification as an Early Childhood Educator. Gabriela is also fluent in reading, writing and speaking Spanish. Gabriela has experience teaching all subject areas and has volunteered in elementary school classrooms. During her time at the University of Toronto, she focused her research on different types of supports that can be provided for students with ADHD, within the school system. As such, she understands that students have different needs, and as teachers, their primary job is to support students’ individual learning needs. She believes students have an extensive range of abilities and are capable of achieving anything and everything they put their minds on, with the correct guidance and support. In her spare time, Gabriela enjoys being around nature, hiking, running, training and spending time with family and friends.
