Jordon B.
Jordon is in her final semester of teachers’ college at Lakehead University in Orillia, specializing in Geography and Environmental Science. She is qualified to teach all subjects up to the Grade 10 level and has experience supporting students across a variety of classroom settings and subject areas.
She is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong learning habits, and work toward their academic goals. Having seen first-hand the positive impact that one-to-one support can make, Jordon looks forward to working closely with students and families to provide personalized, supportive tutoring that meets each learner where they are.
Outside of academics, Jordon has a strong love for sports and the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, skiing, reading, practicing yoga, and leading canoe trips during the summer months. This passion for active, outdoor learning often carries over into her teaching approach, helping students stay engaged, motivated, and curious.
Sophie T.
Sophie T. is a fourth-year student at McGill University studying Kindergarten and Elementary Education, with a specialization in French Immersion. Throughout her academic journey, Sophie has gained extensive experience working with children of various ages through roles in summer camps, babysitting, and substitute teaching. She has completed two teaching placements as part of her program. One placement was as a student teacher in a Grade 5 classroom at Roslyn Elementary School, where she gained experience planning lessons, supporting diverse learners, and managing a classroom environment. Her second placement was at the Jewish General Day School, in a specialized program designed to support students with significant behavioural challenges. There, she taught in a Grade 3/4 classroom and developed a strong understanding of diverse behavioural and learning disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with complex needs in an inclusive and structured setting. She has been passionate about teaching from a young age and has always placed a high value on education and lifelong learning. These experiences have allowed her to develop strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and an understanding of diverse learning needs. Known for her outgoing and charismatic personality, Sophie easily builds positive relationships with children, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and hands-on experience make her a strong candidate for a tutoring position, where she aims to support students academically while fostering confidence and a love of learning.

Jack M. is a dedicated educator who currently teaches 7th grade for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. A graduate of Salem State University in Massachusetts, Jack brings a passion for learning and a commitment to helping students reach their fullest potential. EN: Shabibah is a student studying Sciences at the University of Toronto. She graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Health Science. ENG: Laure is currently completing her Bachelor Degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education with a French immersion minor. She graduated from Cégep du Vieux Montréal with a degree in Social Studies, during which she had the opportunity to participate in a field experience in an Indigenous community in Mexico. She has worked at a summer camp for the past four years, where she has met various groups of kids from different backgrounds. She has a strong passion for culture, particularly in finding ways to integrate it into language teaching.

Natasha N.
Natasha is a third-year Kindergarten and Elementary Education student from McGill University, specializing in French Immersion teaching. She graduated from Collège Sainte Anne high school and got her CEGEP diploma from Collégial International Sainte Anne. She is an outgoing, friendly, and enthusiastic leader who loves to bring creativity and positivity to every environment she’s part of. Proficient in three languages, English, French, and Italian, Natasha has gained extensive experience working with children of all ages, from toddlers to early teens. As a student teacher, camp counsellor, daycare volunteer, and babysitter, Natasha has gained hands-on knowledge in educational and recreational settings.
In addition to her teaching experience, Natasha is certified by the Canadian Red Cross in General First Aid and Babysitters First Aid, demonstrating her commitment to safety and responsibility when working with children. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys expressing herself through art, practicing yoga, hiking and reading. Looking ahead, Natasha hopes to pursue a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, where she aims to combine her love for education and child development to support children’s special needs.
KATHRYN M.
Kathryn is an elementary certified teacher in British Columbia. She received her Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in 2022 following her Bachelor of Science Honours degree specializing in biology and psychology.
Kathryn has three years of teaching experience in elementary classrooms and ten years tutoring experience for elementary and high school students in a variety of subject areas. Kathryn prioritizes getting to know each student she works with in order to adapt lesson plans to individual learning styles to improve students’ skills and confidence.
Kathryn is an encouraging, patient and reliable individual. In her free time she enjoys reading, getting out doors, and trying new hobbies.
Dr. Rob R.
Dr. Rob R. brings 44 years of experience in education to his work with students and families at Prep Academy Tutors.
Having grown up in Yugoslavia, Austria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Germany, Rob learned early on how to adapt to new cultures, languages, and expectations. This experience shaped his ability to support students who may be facing transitions, language challenges, or unfamiliar learning environments.
Rob holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) from Lehigh University, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Vermont, and a B.A. from Middlebury College. For 20 years, he taught all subjects in grades 1 – 6 in Vermont public schools, also serving as a teaching-principal.
He then spent 23 years in international education, teaching and leading schools in Spain, Pakistan, Jordan, Switzerland, Japan, and Serbia. Working with students from more than 50 nationalities gave him a deep appreciation for how children learn across cultures and backgrounds. He understands that every student brings curiosity, potential, and a need for encouragement – and he excels at creating supportive, individualized learning experiences.
Since moving to Superior, Colorado, Rob taught as a substitute in the Boulder Valley School District and is excited to continue working 1:1 with students. Families who work with Rob benefit from his global perspective, decades of teaching expertise, and a compassionate approach that helps students build confidence, adapt to challenges, and discover joy in learning.
Audréane L.
ENG: Audréane is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education at McGill University. She has hands-on experience working with children in classrooms, daycares, and international teaching settings. Audréane is skilled in supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. She is passionate about building strong relationships with children and their families and fostering a love of learning in every child.

Kat N.
ENG: Kat is a nursing student at McGill University, currently completing her final year in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She earned her French high school diploma, graduating on the honors roll. Kat has experience tutoring younger students in grades 7 through 9, focusing on science and math within the Ontario curriculum. Through mostly self-organized after-school tutoring sessions, she supported students in working through assigned homework and guided them in preparing for unit tests and exams. She also taught English as a second language to elementary-aged children, where she designed weekly learning plans and created fun, interactive activities to help students practice and showcase their new knowledge.
In addition to her academic teaching, Kat has worked with children in other instructional contexts, most notably as a ski instructor. She taught technical skills as well as encouraged independence, responsibility, and safe decision-making on the slopes.

Elle a obtenu son diplôme d’études secondaires en français avec distinction. Kat possède de l’expérience en tutorat auprès d’élèves de la 7e à la 9e année, surtout en sciences et en mathématiques selon le curriculum Ontarien. Elle a mis en place des séances de tutorat hors les heures d’école afin de soutenir les élèves dans la réalisation de leurs devoirs et la préparation de leurs évaluations. Elle a également enseigné l’anglais comme langue seconde à des enfants du primaire, pour lesquels elle a conçu des plans d’apprentissage hebdomadaires et créé des activités ludiques et interactives afin de leur permettre de pratiquer et de mettre en valeur leurs nouvelles connaissances.
En plus de son expérience académique, Kat a travaillé avec des enfants dans d’autres contextes d’enseignement, notamment comme monitrice de ski. Elle a enseigné les techniques de base tout en encourageant l’autonomie, le sens des responsabilités et la prise de décisions sécuritaires sur les pentes.
