STEPHANIE F.

Stephanie brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role as an educator, with extensive experience working one-on-one with children who face a wide range of learning challenges. Her background includes specialized training in remedial reading programs such as The Wilson Program, Direct Instruction, and UFLI, equipping her with proven strategies to support students in developing essential literacy skills.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English from Simon Fraser University and is a qualified EAL (English as an Additional Language) instructor. Her teaching focus spans middle and high school students in Humanities and English composition, as well as Primary and Junior students in literacy and remedial reading support.

In addition to her work locally, Stephanie has also supported numerous students internationally, helping them acquire and refine their English language skills. Her ability to tailor instruction to the unique needs of each learner ensures that every student feels supported and empowered in their academic journey. Brianna C

Brianna has a passion for educating young minds. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with both a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, excelling in the fast track program. Brianna will soon graduate from her 6th year degree in Teacher Leadership. Brianna is inspired by learning the most current and effective strategies to ensure learners success, which is why she taught and continues to teach at a competitive range of school districts. Using innovative tips and tools to progress students learning and boost confidence, is the motive behind her teaching strategy! 

Hannah F.

Hannah is an Ontario Certified Teacher specializing in primary, junior and intermediate instruction.

Hannah grew up on Georgian Bay and moved to Toronto to complete her Bachelor of Arts in History and French at York University, Glendon.

Hannah prides herself on being an enthusiastic and involved educator with a commitment to cultivating learning opportunities that are hands-on, meaningful, and engaging. She possesses a wide range of teaching experience with students from kindergarten to grade 8 in virtual, classroom, and even outdoor settings.

Hannah currently works as an Occasional Teacher with the Simcoe County District School Board and an Outdoor Educator at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto. Hannah hopes that with her teaching she can foster civic and social responsibility and encourage future stewards of the Earth. Hannah’s passion for learning has even brought her to Windsor Castle, England – working with leaders like Jane Goodall to create programming opportunities for youth.

Along with a commitment to helping student’s meet their academic goals, Hannah believes that social-emotional well-being and relationships should be at the forefront of all her teaching.

Swaeta M.

EN: Swaeta is a student studying Computer Science at McGill University. She has graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in pure and applied sciences. She is comfortable teaching in both English and French. She is able to cater to different teaching styles as she has experience tutoring in the past.

Sophia is an alumna of The Study School and Marianopolis College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at Concordia University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Marketing. With over three years of experience tutoring students at the elementary, high school, and CEGEP levels, Sophia is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic objectives. She is highly adaptable, tailoring her teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of each student, and is always ready to embrace challenges to ensure her students succeed. Sophia finds great joy in watching her students reach their “aha” moments and is passionate about empowering them by instilling strong organizational and time management skills to help them reach their full potential!

Siân M.

EN: Siân is currently studying at McGill University in the Faculty of Education. She is in the kindergarten/elementary pédagogie d’immersion française program in hopes of becoming a French immersion elementary school teacher. She has previous experience tutoring grades 3-6 in various subjects in French.
She is very passionate about teaching and enjoys working with young minds. She believes in strong relationships with her students and making learning fun!

FR: Siân étudie actuellement à l’Université McGill dans la Faculté de l’Éducation. Elle est inscrite au programme de pédagogie d’immersion française pour les niveaux maternelle et primaire, dans l’espoir de devenir enseignante dans une école primaire en immersion française. Elle a une expérience antérieure en tutorat pour les élèves de la 3e à la 6e année dans divers sujets en français.

Elle est très passionnée par l’enseignement et aime travailler avec les jeunes esprits. Elle croit en l’importance de construire des relations solides avec ses élèves et de rendre l’apprentissage amusant !

NOREEN E.

Noreen brings fun and enthusiasm to tutoring.  She loves to learn and shares this excitement with her students. Noreen earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Manhattanville College.  She graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.   Noreen has extensive tutoring experience providing executive functioning and academic support to students with various learning styles.  Noreen has supported students to understand classroom lessons, complete homework, and learn study skills for quizzes and tests. Her goal is to promote skill development in all academic areas, as well as in the areas of time management, organization, and self-advocacy.

Noreen has been teaching for the New York City Department of Education for twelve years as both a general education teacher and special education teacher.  She currently serves as a co-teacher for reading, writing, and math in grades four and six in Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classes. Although the majority of her experience is with students with IEPs, Noreen has a passion for teaching all students.  In her free time, Noreen enjoys spending time with her family, reading and gardening.  She resides in Ardsley.

 

 

Emily E.

EN: Emily is in her final year at Concordia University. She will soon graduate with Honours in English Literature and a minor in Education. She has been recognized and awarded for her subject excellence in Mathematics, English reading and writing, on top of her overall perseverance as a well-rounded student. She has experience teaching children, adolescents and adults and takes pride in helping them reach their full academic potential. She is very passionate about learning and takes pleasure in connecting with and impacting her apprentices’ lives for the better. On top of academic success, Emily brings enjoyment, self-confidence, study tips and an overall pleasant learning environment personalized for each student to her sessions.

FR: Emily est en dernière année à l’Université Concordia. Elle va bientôt obtenir son diplôme avec mention en littérature anglaise et une mineure en éducation. Elle a été reconnue et récompensée pour son excellence en mathématiques, en lecture et écriture en anglais, ainsi que pour sa persévérance en tant qu’étudiante polyvalente. Elle a de l’expérience dans l’enseignement aux enfants, adolescents et adultes et se réjouit de les aider à atteindre leur plein potentiel académique. EN:  Carolina holds a BSc in Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Global Health at McMaster University. With over six years of professional tutoring experience, she specializes in supporting elementary and high school students in Math, English, Science, and French. Carolina also offers public speaking coaching and guidance for university applications.
