Isabel V.
Isabel Villano is a certified educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. She is passionate about accessible education and became a teacher so she could support diverse learners in a meaningful, hands-on way.
She has experience working across a range of educational settings, including classroom instruction and specialized intervention. She currently works as a Learning Specialist supporting elementary students with a focus on literacy and math intervention.
Isabel discovered her passion for special education early in her career while working closely with students who needed individualized support. She was drawn to the growth that comes from patience, relationship-building, and finding the right approach for each learner.
Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know each student and helping them build confidence as concepts begin to click. She especially enjoys working with elementary aged students because of their curiosity, honesty, and the excitement they bring to learning when they feel successful.
Isabel brings warmth, creativity, and a calm, encouraging presence to every session, with the goal of helping students feel capable and supported.
Outside of teaching and tutoring, Isabel enjoys reading, baking, and crafting. She also loves spending time at home with her family.
Brenna S.
Brenna S. decided to become a teacher in high school. During this time, she tutored friends who were at-risk of dropping out.
Armed with this powerful experience, Brenna began college at the University of Montana – Western, where she started writing curriculums that combined collaboration and communication techniques with project-based learning to help students better understand the content.
Benna continued her education at the University of Montana, where she became the campus coordinator for America Reads – America Counts, which included tutoring K-12 students every week.
Brenna completed a Bachelors of Mathematics Education at the University of Montana, with a minor in Theatre. During her time in Missoula, she worked for a summer school program, as a substitute teacher in a private school that focused on hands-on learning, and occasionally taught at one of the local public high schools.
Brenna loves guiding students in mathematics and language arts and focuses on how the concepts covered in each are relevant to daily life. She believes any student can achieve academic success, and that practice and perseverance are crucial to success in the classroom and beyond.
When she’s not teaching or tutoring, Brenna enjoys writing. She is currently completing a high-school Geometry curriculum guide and a novella. In addition to writing, Brenna also enjoys biking, hiking, swimming, and kayaking.

Myrgia P.
Myrgia is a bilingual educator, university professor, and doctoral student in Counseling Psychology who is passionate about helping students grow academically while building confidence in their abilities. Originally from Puerto Rico, she recently relocated to Texas and brings a unique combination of higher education teaching, psychology, counseling, and academic mentoring experience to every tutoring session.
Myrgia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and has completed all degree requirements for her Master of Psychology while currently pursuing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology. Her advanced graduate training has given her extensive expertise in learning, motivation, communication, and evidence-based approaches that help students overcome academic challenges and develop lifelong learning skills.
Before moving to Texas, Myrgia served as a full-time professor of English at Universidad Ana G. Méndez in Puerto Rico, where she taught undergraduate students English language and literature while designing engaging lessons that connected classic literature with modern media and popular culture. She also served as an assistant professor of Spanish and previously worked as a university writing tutor and student mentor, helping students strengthen academic writing, English and Spanish grammar, research skills, APA formatting, oral communication, and critical thinking.
In addition to her teaching experience, Myrgia completed both practicum and advanced practicum placements as a counseling psychology trainee at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine, where she provided counseling and academic support to medical students navigating the rigorous demands of professional school. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, she helped students manage academic stress, test anxiety, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other personal challenges while developing effective study habits and strategies for success.
Myrgia specializes in English Language Arts, reading, writing, college essay coaching, psychology, conversational Spanish, and high school Spanish. As a fluent bilingual educator in both English and Spanish, she is especially skilled at helping students communicate clearly, strengthen their writing, improve reading comprehension, and gain confidence in both languages.
Families appreciate Myrgia’s warm, empathetic, and highly individualized teaching style. David F.
EN: David Fernandez is in the process of completing his Master’s Degree in Theology, having already graduated with honours, in both an undergrad in Theology and another in Religious Studies, from Concordia University. His Thesis is concerned with uncovering the philosophical and literary links between Jewish and Christian apocrypha of the 2nd to 4th century CE.
He has experience as a teacher and researcher at institutions such as St. Georges Highschool, M² Learning, Concordia University and currently, Yeshiva Gedola Highschool. He has worked as an RA in his department at university, and has published articles and research throughout his career as a student and educator.
He has worked in education for the better part of a decade, as a tutor, teacher, instructor and integration aide. Having worked as an integration aide for some years, he has become uniquely equipped to instruct on proper techniques in executive functioning.
He is currently a Highschool Teacher at Yeshiva Gedola, where he teaches French, History and English. He has also been working as an AP instructor for Comparative Politics and History for the last three years. At Yeshiva Gedolah, he manages classes of 20 to 30 students, whereas as an AP instructor, he works in a more one on one setting with his students.

Il a travaillé dans l’enseignement pendant près d’une décennie, en tant que tuteur, enseignant, formateur et accompagnateur d’intégration. Ayant exercé cette fonction d’accompagnateur d’intégration pendant plusieurs années, il dispose désormais d’un bagage unique pour enseigner les techniques appropriées en matière de fonctions exécutives.
Il est actuellement enseignant au lycée Yeshiva Gedola, où il enseigne le français, l’histoire et l’anglais. Il travaille également depuis trois ans en tant que formateur AP en politique comparée et en histoire. À Yeshiva Gedola, il gère des classes de 20 à 30 élèves, tandis qu’en tant que formateur AP, il travaille dans un cadre plus individuel avec ses élèves.
Lorna S.
EN: Lorna is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator currently pursuing a degree in Teacher Education at McGill University. With extensive tutoring experience spanning Kindergarten through Grade 12, she has supported students across a wide range of subjects, with particular strengths in mathematics and English. Julie is an experienced educator with a strong background in language instruction and early literacy development. She has taught English as a Second Language to both high school and university students, helping multilingual learners build confidence, strengthen academic language skills, and develop the communication strategies needed to thrive in new learning environments.
With more than a decade of experience teaching in French Immersion and early elementary settings, Julie brings deep knowledge of early literacy foundations, including phonological awareness, guided reading, emergent writing, and developmentally responsive instruction. She is skilled at supporting young learners as they build strong reading and writing habits, and she creates engaging, structured lessons that meet students where they are while helping them grow as independent, joyful learners.

Cynthia S.
Cynthia is a Certified Academic Language Therapist who works with students in grades 1–9, providing dyslexia therapy and individualized reading instruction. Her teaching journey began at Louisiana Key Academy Northshore, where she spent two years teaching Social Studies Composition to 3rd graders and Structured Language Arts to 3rd and 5th graders.
Her commitment to literacy is deeply personal. When her child was diagnosed with dyslexia, Cynthia, who also has dyslexia, immersed herself in learning everything she could about effective reading instruction. This led her to pursue IMSLEC‑accredited training and ultimately earn her CALT certification through ALTA in February 2026.
Cynthia is also an author. Her poetry collection, Present Peace, explores her connection to nature and her search for her authentic voice. She also writes Mom poetry and is using her CALT certification to write decodable readers for older students.
Before becoming an educator, Cynthia built a successful career in accounting, earning her CPA license and working for Deloitte & Touche, LLP and PoolCorp. She holds an M.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University and a B.B.A. in Accounting with a psychology concentration from Millsaps College.
Outside of working with students, she enjoys time with her family and is currently developing a middle‑grade werewolf series using graphic organizers.
Princess A.
Princess A. is a Master’s student in International Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. She brings years of experience tutoring and mentoring students across subject areas, test preparation, and college readiness, with particular expertise in English and College Essay Writing.
To date, Princess has guided more than 120 students — in the U.S. and internationally — through the college application process. Her students have earned admission to the University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, Tufts University, Brandeis University, the University of Hong Kong, Middlebury College, and beyond.
Princess loves to travel and has been to 10 countries so far. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her cat, tackling last-minute painting and crocheting projects, and exploring her neighborhood with a film camera!
Amanda G.
EN: Amanda Guedes has a bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten Elementary from Mcgill University. She has been working with children since her teenage years when she volunteered at a daycare and then began working there as a replacement educator. She then continued to pursue her love for working with children through the education program at Mcgill University. She graduated in 2019 and since then has worked towards her career in teaching. Upon graduating, she went abroad to London, United Kingdom to start her teaching career and gain experience. There, she completed two years of teaching –at the grade 5 level and kindergarten level respectively –and got to appreciate the education system and its methods within the UK. Upon her return to Canada, she was able to bring back those methods and began teaching for the English Montreal School Board. She has been with them ever since and continues to put all her love into teaching. She also began tutoring four years ago and has since then taken on many students to provide extra practice to help them succeed in their academic journey. She has helped students with their homework, extra practice to solidify their understanding, practice for both final and entry exams, and so forth. Amanda speaks three languages and is able to help students in both the English and French sectors.

À son retour au Canada, elle a intégré plusieurs de ces approches à sa pratique professionnelle et a commencé à enseigner au sein de l’English Montreal School Board. Elle y travaille depuis et continue de mettre toute sa passion au service de ses élèves.
Amanda a également commencé à faire du tutorat il y a quatre ans et accompagne depuis de nombreux élèves afin de leur offrir un soutien personnalisé dans leur parcours scolaire. Elle les aide notamment avec leurs devoirs, la consolidation de leurs apprentissages, la préparation aux examens d’admission et aux examens finaux, ainsi que le développement de leurs compétences académiques de façon générale.
Amanda parle trois langues et est en mesure d’accompagner les élèves des réseaux scolaires anglophone et francophone.
