He specializes in history and bilingual social studies for native Spanish speakers. Val attended SUNY Buffalo State College where he received his undergraduate degree in history and was a four player for the Buffalo State Bengals. After he graduated, he began working as a substitute teacher and football coach in his hometown of Valley Stream. He pursued his post baccalaureate education at QUNY Queens College where he received his secondary education teaching certificate. After getting his certificate, Val worked for the NYC DOE for 5 years as a middle school social studies teacher and developed skills that would serve him at any educational level. Helping people from his Latin America learn U.S. and world history was something he truly enjoyed. He was teaching people history and a new language all it once; it was a challenge he accepted and thrived in.

Val is a true new age “Renaissance Man” who understands the value of hard work whether he’s wearing his white or blue collar.
