Ryan B.

Ryan is a certified teacher based in Squamish, BC, with a passion for helping students build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop a positive relationship with learning. Originally from Ontario, she completed her undergraduate degree in French as a Second Language and Biology at the University of Ottawa.

During university, Ryan studied abroad in the French Alps, where she deepened her connection to the French language and culture. After completing teachers college, she moved west to Whistler and later spent a year teaching in New Zealand before settling in Squamish to continue her teaching career.

Ryan has experience teaching in French Immersion classrooms across a variety of subjects, including French, Math, Science, and Social Studies. She has also worked in one-to-one support roles helping students with diverse learning needs build confidence and achieve their goals. Ryan is currently completing her Inclusive Education Diploma through Queen’s University to further expand her knowledge of inclusive and student-centred teaching practices.

Ryan believes that strong relationships, personalized support, and engaging learning experiences are key to helping students succeed. Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, running, and exploring the Sea to Sky corridor, and is always looking forward to her next outdoor adventure.

Michele M.

Michele is a Certified Teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. She grew up in Prairieville, Louisiana, where she attended Ascension Parish Schools. In her 27 years as an educator, Michele has been able to foster her love for teaching math, especially to students who believe that they dislike math. The summer months bring an opportunity for Michele to travel with family and friends. This allows for new experiences that she can share with students to help them connect their learning to the world. In addition to teaching, Michele has years of tutoring experience, where she fosters engaging, personalized one-on-one interactive lessons.

Dr. Samantha N.

Dr. Samantha N. is an interdisciplinary archaeologist with years of tutoring and teaching experience in social science, natural science, and math. She graduated from Cornell College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Archaeology. In 2026, she graduated from Boston University with a Ph.D. in Anthropological Archaeology. Throughout this time, she gained experience in tutoring and teaching students at the collegiate, high school, and middle school levels. She loves archaeology because of the way that it connects to so many other disciplines: chemistry, geography, history, and economics, just to name a few! As a teaching fellow in Boston University’s Department of Anthropology, she used hands-on activities and guided questions to help her students learn how to learn. She believes that this allows students to comprehend and retain information better than if they had relied solely on rote memorization. In 2022, she received Boston University’s Outstanding Teaching Fellow in Archaeology Award for her dedication to her students and her contributions to the course material. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys knitting, spending time with her cats, and gardening.

Mansargun K.

Mansargun is an Ivey MBA graduate from Western University and an Aerospace Engineer from IIT Kanpur. She is joining a leading consulting firm as a Senior Consultant in June 2026 and brings 5+ years of tutoring and coaching experience to her students.
Her teaching style focuses on problem-solving tips and shortcuts so students never have to rely on rote memorization. She breaks down core concepts in an intuitive way, helping students truly understand the “why” behind the material. So they never go blank in an exam again. She has supported students across engineering math, calculus, physics, intro computer science (Python, SQL), MBA-level finance, accounting, and economics, as well as standardized tests including the GRE (332/340), TOEFL (119/120), CELPIP (12/12), and GMAT Quant. She also tutors Ontario high school math and physics.
Outside of academics, Mansargun is a theatre artist and a builder at heart. An engineer who loves business. She has directed award-winning plays, co-founded a fashion venture, and helped scale a tech product from 600 to 10 million users. She brings the same curiosity and energy to every tutoring session.

Cheryl D.

Cheryl has been a passionate educator for over twenty years at the middle school and high school levels in Connecticut public schools. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware (majors in English and French, minor in Religious Studies) and her graduate degree in Secondary English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Since then, she has spent her time honing her skills as a classroom teacher, tutor, and literacy coach who cares deeply about the success of every student she meets. Cheryl has a talent for working with a very diverse range of students, and her main goal for each child is to help them gain the self-assurance and academic skills to be successful in school and in life. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys hiking, walking her dogs, reading, writing, beekeeping, renovating an 18th century home, and hanging out with her husband and three teenaged children. Cheryl looks forward to meeting your child and working in partnership with you to best support them in pursuit of their goals.

Sara

With over 4 years of experience working as a university Writing Tutor, Student Success Coach and Teaching Assistant for research methods, Sara is dedicated to providing high quality personalized tutoring to students. She has a passion for working with students and helping them achieve their academic goals. Sara aims to offer an encouraging learning environment for her students while helping them build a strong academic toolkit, including organization, time management and critical thinking skills.

Sara completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology from the University of Winnipeg while maintaining the highest GPA in the Faculty. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Education and Society at McGill.

Jenifer L.

Jenifer is a 25 year veteran of the CT public school system. A former speech and language pathologist, she acquired a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. From there, she dove into a rewarding career in the support of students with disabilities and their families, working tirelessly to achieve improved learning outcomes both in academics and speech and language. Working closely with special education teams, classroom teachers (often in a collaborative and coteaching format) and families, she supported student’s acquisition of reading, comprehension, phonological and phonemic awareness, vocabulary and concept knowledge, written language, math skills and social skills. During the last 10 years of her career in public school, she also worked with students with more complex diagnoses, helping to acquire daily living skills, improve behavior, and acquire core communication skills, often through the use of augmentative and assistive communication tools. Additionally, Jenifer is experienced in supporting students with college essay writing and identifying and implementing strategies for improved executive functioning. She values the collaborative effort between families, schools, and herself. She prides herself on implementing lessons in a student centered and fun atmosphere that is engaging, that increases focus and attention, and activates learning. Dedicated to families and students with learning challenges, she continues her work by supporting their needs through tutoring, coaching families and advocating for educational resources and plans that will lead to improved learning and stronger academic achievements.

Ian S.

Ian Sadock is a cognitive music theorist and molecular biologist. With fourteen years of service in the Emergency Medical Services, Sadock is a Nationally Registered Advanced EMT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He has taught at a number of prestigious institutions, including The University of the Arts, Settlement Music School, and Cheltenham Township Adult School. Sadock serves on the Board of Directors at Jazz Bridge, a local Philadelphia non-profit, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a concentration in Jazz from West Chester University, as well as a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies. Building on over a decade of teaching experience, he is currently pursuing a PhD at Temple University while conducting research in cognitive ethnomusicology and audio analysis for artificial intelligence.

NIMA S.

Nima holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and brings over five years of tutoring experience to his students. He has worked with learners from Grade six through twelve, including those enrolled in IB and AP programs, helping them excel in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics.

Nima’s approach focuses on building both understanding and confidence. He tailors lessons to each student’s learning style, ensuring that complex concepts are made accessible and engaging. He has experience teaching one-on-one as well as in small groups, and is skilled at creating interactive, structured, and motivating learning environments.

In addition to traditional tutoring, Nima has extensive experience conducting online sessions, using interactive digital whiteboards and shared notes that students can review after class. He has also supported students with ADHD and ADD, demonstrating patience and adaptability to meet diverse learning needs.

Melissa D.

Melissa has more than 15 years of experience working for major media organizations as a journalist and in educational standardized testing and assessment. She has also worked with English Language Learners, gifted/twice-exceptional students, and served as a parent and academic coach. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, she enjoys mentoring students in research, writing, analysis, and visual storytelling.

She believes a successful writing partnership begins with the development of a shared visual calendar of goals that helps students break down tasks into manageable steps. She enjoys helping students develop a system of visual organization, color coding, and time management paired with technology to encourage accountability and help manage the writing process.

Technology today offers emerging tools for gathering information and feedback. Melissa believes it is essential that a student develop a unique voice along with research and executive function skills that build confidence across all means of communication, independent of technology. The positive habits that a student develops working with a writing coach pay off in high school, college, and professionally.

Outside of mentoring and serving as a writing coach, Melissa also helps students develop data analysis, presentation, and visual storytelling skills that yield impact beyond the classroom. Her goal is to foster a student’s love of communication and analysis.

Her most rewarding role has been guiding her sons through their academic journeys with diligence, transparency, and humor. She remains passionate about helping students of all backgrounds build confidence and succeed.
