Mahdi A.
Not every bio starts with a name, and not every tutor teaches in the same way. Mahdi values genuineness, creativity, and a love of learning. Growing up in a family of educators, he developed an early appreciation for teaching while supporting his younger brother and friends with their studies. Mahdi completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering before moving to Canada, where he earned his Master’s degree in the same field. Throughout university, he discovered the joy of teaching in both one-on-one and group settings. Mahdi has a special passion for Mathematics, followed by Physics and Chemistry, though his curiosity extends to all areas of knowledge and science. In his tutoring, Mahdi focuses not on giving students the correct answers, but on teaching them how to understand questions, connect them to prior knowledge, determine where to begin solving, and verify each step along the way. He believes every student has a distinctive mind, a unique goal, and their own path to discovery. Outside of academics, Mahdi values balancing work and leisure. He enjoys exploring British Columbia through camping, skiing, hiking, and paddle boarding.
Muskaan T.
Hi, I’m Muskaan, a graduate student in Bioengineering at Rice University with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. With over five years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the opportunity to guide high school, undergraduate, and graduate students through subjects such as organic chemistry, biology, genetics, calculus, biostatistics etc. My teaching philosophy centers on turning complex topics into clear, engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world applications. Beyond tutoring, my professional experience spans both academic research and clinical practice from analyzing genetic risk factors for cardiovascular disease as a Graduate Researcher at UTHealth Houston, to assisting with pain management and pediatric clinics. These experiences have strengthened my ability to bridge scientific knowledge with practical understanding, which I strive to bring into every session. I’m passionate about helping students not only master challenging material but also build lasting confidence, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for learning.
