Laure B.

EN: Laure is currently in her first undergraduate year of a Bachelor in Kindergarten and Elementary Education with a French immersion minor. She graduated from Cégep du Vieux Montréal with a degree in Social Studies, during which she had the opportunity to participate in a field experience in an Indigenous community in Mexico. She has worked at a summer camp for the past four years, where she has met various groups of kids from different backgrounds. Recently, she began tutoring a student who is learning French as a foreign language. She has a strong passion for culture, particularly in finding ways to integrate it into language teaching.

SUNDY L.

Sundy is a kind, compassionate and experienced French educator who is passionate about language acquisition. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in French and Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Education, both earned through the Concurrent Education program at Queen’s University.
For the past four years, Sundy has worked as a dedicated French teacher at Holy Trinity School in Richmond Hill. Her primary focus has been teaching middle school students (Grades 6–8), but she has experience working with various age groups, cultures and backgrounds. This classroom experience is complemented by her work as an online French tutor since 2021, where she has helped numerous students improve their French grammar and speaking fluency.
Sundy’s teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a fun, relevant, and engaging learning environment. She believes in fostering a growth mindset, ensuring students feel capable and confident as they become curious language learners. She loves creating an environment where students can have fun learning a foreign language, feel safe in taking risks and making mistakes and can relate to their content.
Outside of teaching, Sundy loves drinking matcha, trying new restaurants, playing volleyball and watching reality dating shows. She hopes to inspire a love of learning and an admiration of the French language through her tutoring.

 

ROSEANNE M.

Roseanne Menezes is an OCT-certified teacher who has taught English, French, ESL, and Social Sciences to students of all ages, both in Canada and the United Kingdom. She’s passionate about making learning fun, approachable, and tailored to each student’s unique style—whether that means breaking down tricky grammar, sparking curiosity in history, or helping someone finally feel confident speaking French. Since 2017, Roseanne has also worked as a private tutor, supporting students and adult learners with personalized lessons that go beyond the classroom. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her planning her next adventure abroad, curled up with a good book, experimenting with new recipes, or tackling a new language for fun.

Victoria W.

Victoria is a dynamic and creative teacher with years experience working with Prep Academy. She has experience in the classroom with every grade from Kindergarten to Grade 9 including French Immersion, Extended French, and Core French. Her specialities include working with French learners, teaching students to read, strengthening reading, writing, and math skills while making learning fun. Victoria’s interests include sustainability, community growth, global initiatives, volunteering, well-being, and empowering others. Victoria’s teaching pedagogy is that each child is unique and thus must have an interesting educational environment that fosters physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and such an environment allows students to achieve their goals. She desires to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. She is also creative with a high interest in sports and games which she uses in creating a fun and encouraging learning environment.

CINDY S.

Cindy is an Ontario Certified Teacher and experienced tutor. She completed her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education with French and Music teaching qualifications at the Intermediate-Senior level at Queen’s University. Cindy teaches French at elementary and secondary levels and is a teacher with the school board. She believes literacy and the arts are an integral part of education and should be accessible as possible to every student. Cindy is currently taking IB training to qualify her to teach IB French. She enjoys working with students of all ages and understands that each student has their individual learning needs. Prior to her teaching career, Cindy has directed and run summer camps, taught swimming lessons & helped students prepare for SSATs.

Angeliki has a DEC from Dawson College in Child Studies. She is currently getting her Bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten/Elementary Education from McGill University. Passionate about her love of teaching, she sought out tutoring to offer help and guidance. Having completed her first field experience as a Student Teacher, she is ready to take this next step towards assisting students in mastering their lessons, deepening their understanding and achieving their academic goals. EN: Kiara is earning her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at McGill University, driven by her goal to work in international youth and sports politics. As a member of McGill’s Varsity Track and Field team, she balances the demands of competitive athletics with her academic commitments, building resilience, focus, and a strong work ethic along the way.

She has worked with students from kindergarten through high school, helping them strengthen their understanding in various subjects while guiding them toward their personal academic goals. Kiara also emphasizes the development of practical skills such as time management and self-confidence, believing these are just as essential to long-term success.

Hello I’m Pina, a retired Ontario Certified Teacher with 30 years teaching experience in Ontario public schools in the Primary/Junior Division including French. I’ve also taught Grades 9 and 10 Math.
I am passionate about helping children overcome their fear of failure. Communication is key. Students are successful when parents, children and teachers communicate and work together.
When I’m not tutoring, you can find me creating original works of art in ceramics and stained glass, volunteering in the community or learning a new language online.

She earned her Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University, and has a certified teachable in French. Sara is currently working as an Elementary Core French teacher, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her passion for this language with all her students. Sara completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto, with focuses on English Literature, French, and Media Studies. Sara has an abundance of experience working with Junior and Intermediate students to help them explore and progress their new learning. Sara believes that the best and most effective learning environment for students is welcoming, encourages lots and lots of questions, and prizes students for taking risks. She is a passionate and caring educator who is eager to create a learning experience tailored to meet the needs of any student.

Hello! I’m Rocchetta, a retired Ontario Certified Elementary Teacher with over 25 years of experience in teaching and tutoring. Specializing in grades 1 to 6, I am passionate about fostering a love for reading and lifelong learning in my students. I believe that effective communication, both verbal and written, is key to student success.
