Shayan M.
Shayan is a Mathematics, Science and French teacher, having taught in Quebec and internationally before arriving to Ontario. His objective is to help students gain knowledge and develop skills to pursue their goals through mentorship and coaching. He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master’s Degree in Teaching, from McGill University.
EMILE I.
Emile has a bachelor degree in Education from the University of Ottawa. He has been teaching for 15 years, 1 year in Francophone Junior and High School, and 14 years in Elementary French Immersion School. His favourite subjects are Math, Sciences and French. Integrating technology in the students learning process is essential to him.
ELENA G.
Elena is a young and energetic French Teacher. She has a Ph.D in French Studies from Western University (2015) as well as a MA in Comparative Literature from University of Nice (France). Elena completed her BA in Education in Romania. Her teaching experience includes numerous French language and literature courses taught as an instructor in the last 17 years in several universities across Ontario. Starting 2020 she worked for the Remote School of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, in charge of French Immersion Grade 5, Grade 6/7 and Grade 7/8. In 2022 Elena started working with Francophone School Board as a French and Social Studies Teacher in a Secondary School.
Emily B.
Emily has been a full time French Immersion teacher with the York Region District School Board for the last 7.5 years. Emily was born in Montreal and grew up speaking French with her Francophone father and later decided to pursue a career in French teaching. She also attended French Immersion school growing up. Emily has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from Glendon College of York University. She has experience in a variety of grades, ranging from 1 to 6 but has most recently taught grades 2 and 3 French Immersion. Over the course of her career she has taken Additional Qualifications in French As a Second Language as well as Health and Physical Education. Emily takes into account the diverse needs of her learners to ensure an optimal learning experience for her students. She believes in small group work to better engage learners. In her free time she loves to read, ski, cook, travel and spend time with her dog, Charlie.
Kirsten D-T.
Graduating with a Major in Kinesiology and a Minor in French, Kirsten is currently finishing his Master’s degree in Education at York University. Throughout his undergraduate degree, Kirsten was a varsity volleyball athlete, proving that strong time-management skills are crucial when striving for success. Not only has Kirsten juggled with being a student-athlete for multiple years, but he did so at the highest level, achieving time and time again a spot on the University’s Dean’s list. Along with being trustworthy and having a personable attitude toward everyone, Kirsten’s main objectives in life are to see improvement and growth in those who he teaches/tutors. In addition to being extremely motivated and goal-oriented, Kirsten possesses a wide range of educational experiences, such as substitute teaching in the TDSB, tutoring mathematics, French, and science, as well as being a multi-sport coach. All in all, Kirsten would love to continue striving for academic excellence through the knowledge he passes on to his students, aiding all, one session at a time.
Justin M.
Justin Mejia is an OCT Qualified Intermediate senior (grades7-12) teacher with the qualifications and ability to teach English, Socials, History, Philosophy and French. He possesses an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and English from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Education from York University.
Over the last several years, Mr. Mejia has worked full time teaching in class Secondary English, Socials, and French in British Columbia and in Ontario. He also has had experience working as a tutor and as a Youth worker. This experience, combined with his philosophical background, has given Mr. Mejia the ability to understand what is necessary in achieving student success. By creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, and by connecting students’ personal lives and experiences to the course content, Mr. Mejia believes that we not only enable students to achieve their intellectual, social, and physical potential, we also encourage them to develop into responsible, compassionate citizens that are prepared to meet the challenges of our ever changing world.
Jigyasa S.
Jigyasa is an enthusiastic and a diligent teacher with natural ability to appreciate and inspire children.
Having acquired a bachelor degree in Information Technology, Bachelors in Education and Masters in Psychology, she possesses thorough understanding of implementing its use in lesson preparation while understanding the mindset and requirement of students. She possesses in depth understanding and experience of teaching in an IB school along with thorough comprehension of Ontario curriculum.
With a rare combination of Numeracy and Language, and more than 8 years of tutoring experience in Maths and French, Jigyasa has documented and quantified success in providing activities and materials that engage and challenge the students intellectually.

EN: Carolina has taught elementary and high school students for over six years. She is a creative and versatile teacher with experience working at private enrichment academies and public tutoring services. She is currently studying biomedical science at McGill University and is very passionate about helping students explore their full potential at a young age, whether it be in STEM or the Arts, specifically through offering piano lessons!

C’est une enseignante créative et polyvalente qui a travaillé dans des académies d’enrichissement privées et des services de tutorat publics. Elle étudie actuellement les sciences biomédicales à l’Université McGill et se passionne pour aider les élèves à explorer leur plein potentiel à un jeune âge, que ce soit dans le domaine des STIM ou des arts, notamment en offrant des leçons de piano !
Sacha F.
EN: Sacha has fully immersed himself in the study of English Literature since he graduated high school in 2017. He graduated with a DEC in Literature at Dawson College in 2019, received his BA Specialization in English Literature from Concordia University in Fall 2022, and is currently obtaining my MA in English Literature from Queen’s University. In the future, he hopes to become an educator and teach college-level English courses, where his passion will resonate through his classrooms and to his students.
Sacha is perfectly fluent in English and French. He is a well-rounded individual with interest and knowledge in various other subjects, such as French and Math. His experience in tutoring ranges from one-on-one personalized tutoring to being a mentor for larger groups of youths around Montreal. Sacha believes that anyone and everyone can succeed in whatever they put their mind up to. He hopes to show that to his students in the future.

FR: Sacha s’est entièrement plongé dans l’étude de la littérature anglaise depuis qu’il a terminé le secondaire en 2017. Il a obtenu un DEC en littérature au Dawson College en 2019, a reçu son baccalauréat en spécialisation en littérature anglaise de l’Université Concordia à l’automne 2022, et est actuellement en train de terminer sa maîtrise en littérature anglaise à l’Université Queen’s. Dans le futur, il espère devenir enseignant et donner des cours d’anglais au niveau collégial, où sa passion résonnera à travers ses salles de classe et auprès de ses étudiants.
Sacha est parfaitement bilingue en anglais et en français. Il est une personne polyvalente avec des intérêts et des connaissances dans divers autres sujets, tels que le français et les mathématiques. Son expérience en tutorat va de l’accompagnement personnalisé en tête-à-tête à être mentor pour des groupes plus importants de jeunes autour de Montréal.
