Kyffen G.
Kyffen brings over 20 years of experience as both a French Immersion classroom teacher and a Special Education Resource Teacher. She has taught and supported students of all abilities across Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is qualified to teach up to Grade 12. At the Intermediate level, her teaching experience includes French (Immersion), Geography (Immersion), History (Immersion), Art, Drama, English, Vocal Music, and Spanish (through her university practicum).
Passionate about student success, Kyffen focuses on building strong relationships founded on mutual trust and respect. She takes time to understand each learner’s needs and strengths, then uses that knowledge to guide students toward both academic achievement and personal growth. Her lessons are differentiated, creative, and engaging, ensuring that every student feels supported and motivated to reach their potential.
Kyffen believes that every student is capable of success. Her role as an educator is to teach, support, engage, and inspire—helping students build confidence and find joy in learning along the way.
Outside of tutoring, Kyffen enjoys spending time with her family, walking her two golden retrievers, and performing in community musical theatre productions.
ROSEANNE M.
Roseanne Menezes is an OCT-certified teacher who has taught English, French, ESL, and Social Sciences to students of all ages, both in Canada and the United Kingdom. She’s passionate about making learning fun, approachable, and tailored to each student’s unique style—whether that means breaking down tricky grammar, sparking curiosity in history, or helping someone finally feel confident speaking French. Since 2017, Roseanne has also worked as a private tutor, supporting students and adult learners with personalized lessons that go beyond the classroom. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her planning her next adventure abroad, curled up with a good book, experimenting with new recipes, or tackling a new language for fun.
CAVELL B.
Cavell is a highly experienced educator with over 20 years in teaching, curriculum design, and educational leadership. With a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design, she has dedicated her career to helping children discover their strengths and succeed as lifelong learners.
Her journey in education has taken her across Canada, from classroom teaching to serving as an Education Consultant in the Yukon and an Education Coordinator in Alberta. Most recently, she has stepped into the role of Education Specialist, where she continues to support inclusive, student-centered learning and provide guidance to both educators and school teams.
She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students and colleagues, and her energy for learning shines through in every interaction. Her expertise in curriculum allows her to support a wide range of academic areas across multiple age groups, from early learners to students in higher grades. At the heart of her work is a commitment to empowering students to see themselves as capable, confident, and successful learners.
QUENNIE G.
Quennie is a French native speaker from Montreal who is passionate about helping students build confidence in both French and English. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Education and is currently a French Immersion teacher with the Toronto District School Board, where she teaches Grade 2/3. Quennie has furthered her learning by obtaining a Specialist in French as a Second Language Pedagogy and completing Additional Qualification courses in Mathematics Pedagogy. She has experience supporting students in literacy, including phonics and reading recovery in both French and English and has worked with learners of varying needs and abilities. Quennie values the importance of language learning as a bridge to new opportunities and perspectives, and she enjoys making lessons engaging, interactive, and tailored to each students’ strengths.
When she’s not in the classroom, Quennie enjoys travelling to new destinations, discovering new restaurants in the city, staying active at the gym, and exploring her interests in fashion and beauty.
Sophia M.
Sophia is an undergraduate student at Concordia University, pursuing a degree in Biology. She is a graduate of Marianopolis College, where she studied Psychology and earned a Certificate with Distinction in Environmental Studies. Her academic path began at Royal Vale High School, where she developed a strong interest in the sciences.
In addition to her academic achievements, Sophia has gained meaningful experience working with children as a camp counselor since 2023. There, she was responsible for leading group activities, cultivating a supportive and engaging environment and fostering their social growth. Through this role, she developed strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, along with the ability to adapt her approach to suit different learning styles.
Her background in both psychology and biology provides Sophia with a unique perspective on education. She understands the importance of motivation and learning strategies while also being able to explain challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way. She is committed to helping students build not only academic skills, but also confidence and curiosity that extend beyond the classroom.
Sophia’s combination of academic knowledge, relevant experience with children and passion for educating in an engaging manner, makes her a dedicated and supportive tutor. She is eager to help students achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Tracey K.
Tracey is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. She is currently in her final year of the Concurrent Bachelor of Education program at York University, specializing in Primary/Junior Education (JK–Grade 6). She also holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, providing her with a strong understanding of how children learn and develop. This background allows her to apply psychological principles to teaching, ensuring that each child receives individualized strategies tailored to their unique learning style.
In addition to her studies, Tracey works as a supply teacher and has extensive tutoring experience across a variety of subjects. She is confident in teaching all areas of the JK–6 curriculum, with a particular specialization in French. Having attended French school throughout her life and currently supplying in French classrooms, Tracey brings a strong foundation in language learning and helps students strengthen both their written and oral French skills with confidence.
Tracey believes that every child learns differently. Her approach focuses on identifying each learner’s strengths, addressing areas for growth, and creating lessons that are engaging and meaningful. Whether a student needs support catching up, staying on track, or moving ahead, Tracey is committed to building their confidence, improving their skills, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
William M.
ENG: William is a McGill graduate in Computer Science & Linguistics with 5+ years of experience tutoring a variety of subjects, specializing in Math. In CEGEP, he was a peer tutor in the Music Department at Vanier College, helping fellow students understand Music Theory and Ear Training, and he worked for a private company tutoring students from elementary school to CEGEP alike in STEM topics, French, and English. He discovered his love for teaching as a young teenager helping his neighbour’s son with French, and finds fulfillment in seeing his students become more confident and feel proud of their improvement. William brings an encouraging and positive approach to tutoring, and focuses on developing his students’ independence and confidence in their problem-solving skills. In his free time, William enjoys playing video games, hiking, playing the cello, and learning foreign languages.

Il a découvert son amour pour l’enseignment à l’âge adolescent quand sa voisine lui a demandé d’aider son fils anglophone avec son français, et il adore voir ses étudiants devenir plus confiants et fiers de leurs accomplissements. William adopte une approche encourageante et positive au tutorat, et cherche a développer l’indépendance de ses étudiants ainsi que leur confiance en leur capacité à résoudre des problèmes. Marieke V.
Marieke is an Ontario Certified Teacher, qualified to teach Kindergarten through Grade 12. She currently teaches Grade 7/8 with the London District Catholic School Board. Marieke earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and her Bachelor of Education from Western University in London, Ontario. In addition to her classroom experience, she has spent the past two years tutoring students one on one, helping them strengthen their skills and build confidence in their learning. She is fluent in English, French, and Dutch, and enjoys working with learners of all ages. Marieke believes in creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and grow. She loves to have fun in the classroom and brings energy, creativity, and a sense of play into her teaching to keep students engaged and motivated. Marieke also has a passion for travel and cultural exploration. She has lived in France on multiple occasions and names the Isle of Skye in Scotland and Cinque Terre in Italy among her favourite places visited. Outside of teaching, she enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and watching or playing sports but especially football and hockey!
Sabrina D. B.
Sabrina is beginning her 23rd year as an elementary school educator for the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. She developed a passion for children from a very young age and knew she wanted to pursue a career in education, leading her to begin volunteering in daycares, schools, and babysitting in her early teen years. Sabrina received a double major degree in French and Italian Language and Linguistics from the University of Toronto and subsequently went into the Faculty of Education at York University. She began teaching right after graduation and embarked upon a versatile professional journey with students of all ages. The majority of her experience is in the elementary classroom in the junior and intermediate divisions, however she is also specialized in early reading strategies and has helped several children bridge the gaps in their literacy skills in the primary grades, summer school sessions, and private tutoring. Additionally, Sabrina acted as an instructional coach for her school board to mentor teachers in their daily teaching practices, with an emphasis on numeracy, literacy, inquiry and technology. Sabrina also has French, Italian, and Religion as teachables for high school, which led her to take on a position for modern languages on Saturdays with Grade 11-12 students. Although this was an enriching experience, her passion remains with guiding younger children along their personal learning endeavors. In her spare time, Sabrina is an advocate for wellness and mental well-being. She embeds this philosophy within her classroom to create a comfortable and safe learning space for her students by incorporating daily mindfulness activities to coach them on how to manage stress and their emotions. Sabrina makes her own well-being a priority by remaining active on a daily basis – through nature hikes, yoga practice, and strength training – and practicing her own mindfulness techniques through prayer, reading, and journaling.
Marie A-P.
Marie is a French native speaker who holds a Master’s degree in Law from France. She brings a strong academic background and extensive teaching experience to her practice. During her graduate studies, she worked as an educational assistant in a French high school, where she collaborated with teachers on curriculum development and classroom preparation. This early experience provided her with a solid foundation in instructional design and student support.
Since relocating to Toronto five years ago, Marie has specialized in teaching French as a second language. She works with a diverse student population, ranging from children aged 5 to 15 to adults preparing for French language proficiency and immigration examinations. Her instructional approach emphasizes rigor, clarity, and adaptability to the needs of learners at different levels.
Marie is committed to fostering an engaging and productive learning environment. She continually informs herself on curriculum developments and new teaching techniques to ensure her lessons remain effective and current. She also places strong emphasis on maintaining open communication with parents, regularly providing feedback on student progress. Through her academic training and professional experience, Marie has developed expertise in guiding students toward linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding, equipping them with skills for both academic success and practical application.
