Isabella is a bilingual French and English speaker, having lived in Chamonix, France, since she was three years old. She completed her education in France, earning both her Brevet and Baccalaureate diplomas, before moving to the UK to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Outside of academics, Isabella has a passion for the outdoors. Whether it’s mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, or skiing backcountry during the winter, she loves being active and exploring nature. With extensive experience in childcare, Isabella values the importance of engaging young learners. She is committed to creating a fun and dynamic learning environment, tailoring her teaching methods to suit each child’s unique needs and making education a joyful, creative process.

Vera is an aspiring French teacher who completed her undergraduate degree in French Studies. She is currently pursuing her teaching degree through a concurrent program at York University. During her third year in her undergraduate, Vera was able to do an international exchange program in Brussels, Belgium, where she attended courses at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. During her exchange, she was able to immerse herself in the francophone culture which helped her enhance her French writing and speaking skills. Vera has always had a passion for working with children, and has gained lots of experience over the years. One of her most memorable experiences is working as a camp director this summer at a Track and Field summer camp. With a background in tutoring as well, Vera takes joy in helping students achieve their goals and acquire skills that will benefit them throughout their academic journey. In her free time, Vera enjoys reading books, going on runs, and spending time with friends and family.

Hello I’m Pina, a retired Ontario Certified Teacher with 30 years teaching experience in Ontario public schools in the Primary/Junior Division including French. I’ve also taught Grades 9 and 10 Math.
I am passionate about helping children overcome their fear of failure. Communication is key. Students are successful when parents, children and teachers communicate and work together.

Madison M.
Madison is a student at York University’s Glendon campus pursuing her degree in education. Being enrolled in York’s Concurrent Education program, Madison has completed a Bachelor’s of Art in French studies and is currently completing her Bachelor’s of Education. With a passion for the French language, Madison is an aspiring French teacher. In order to immerse herself in the French language and further develop her proficiency, she has completed two immersion programs through the Canadian governments Explore program. Through these programs at the University of Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia and the University of Laval in Québec, Madison was not only able to enrich her language but also learn more about different cultures. Madison has an interest in working with children and aims to teach French at the primary level. Throughout the past four years, Madison has been tutoring for many different families in her neighbourhood. She has spent many of her summers working full-time with French families, helping their children keep up with their learning. Through her time tutoring, she has learned how to work effectively with children and adjust her teaching strategies depending on each child’s needs.
Madison spends her free time staying active through hikes and dedicating time in her day to the outdoors. She enjoys cooking as well as baking and loves learning new recipes.
