Miriam H.
Miriam is an educator with a strong academic foundation and growing experience in both English and French‑language science education. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, and she will begin the Professional Development Program (PDP) at Simon Fraser University this fall as she works toward becoming a certified secondary teacher in British Columbia. She has C1 proficiency in French and is preparing to teach secondary science in French Immersion, combining her scientific background with advanced language skills to support bilingual learners.
In Vancouver, Miriam has been volunteering in a Grade 9 Science classroom at a public high school, where she supports students in developing confidence, curiosity, and clear understanding of foundational scientific concepts. Working closely with learners in both English and French has strengthened her ability to explain complex ideas in accessible, engaging ways.

Erica fournit un tutorat structuré et engageant adapté au profil d’apprentissage de chaque enfant, aidant les étudiants à renforcer à la fois leur compétence et leur confiance.
Meghan P.
Meghan has an MA in History and a BA (double major) in Classics and International Development from McGill University. She is in the final stages of completing her PhD in History and Classics at Yale University. Meghan has published a number of articles in academic publications and presented her research at conferences around the world. She speaks three languages fluently (English, French, and Romanian) and works in several others (Italian, German, Latin, and Ancient Greek).
Meghan is a passionate teacher who believes that every student is capable of excellence. Her approach is characterized by empathy, patience, and kindness. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, Meghan is sympathetic to the pressures modern students face: difficulties in focus, wavering confidence, and the temptation of unethical AI use among others. Meghan has had particular success in motivating students who were especially shy, withdrawn, or otherwise on the margins of the classroom. Strategies for how to bring such a student back into the fold differ on an individual basis but are always couched in mutual respect and understanding. Frequently, students who may have been struggling the most at the beginning of the term—be it with meeting deadlines, quality of work, or something else—became some of Meghan’s strongest and most self-motivated students by the end of the academic year.
Areas of Expertise: Reading, Writing, and Critical Analysis (all levels); History (all levels); Latin; Ancient Greek; Biology (K-12); Homework Help (English: K-12; French: K-6).

Daniela D.
Daniela graduated from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ’em, Longhorns!) with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, along with a Teaching Minor/Certificate that allowed her to work with students from K–12. Through that experience, she fell in love with teaching, especially helping students who need learning to feel clear, welcoming, and confident.
Neuroscience is deeply rooted in math and science, which allows Daniela to bring a strong academic foundation to both subjects. She is skilled at breaking down complex ideas, modeling step-by-step thinking, and supporting students with strategies that align with how the brain learns best.
Daniela is currently pursuing her Master of Education at Arcadia University, where she is expanding her expertise in effective instruction, equitable practices, and understanding diverse learning needs. Whether working with younger learners or teens, her goal is always the same: to create a warm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing strong math and science skills, and discovering confidence in themselves as learners.
