Abhi S.
Abhishek Shetty (uh-bhee-shake shehtea) currently works as a grade 5 homeroom teacher at a private IB school in Mississauga, Ontario. He has a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in English Literature, Political Science and Psychology; a Master’s Degree of Arts in Education Management and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Western University in Ontario. Abhishek has been an Ontario Certified teacher since December 2021.
Oriane F.
Oriane Falkenstein is an accomplished educator and curriculum writer with extensive experience in teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. She has a dual General Studies and Jewish Studies background. Her teaching certification spans from primary to senior levels, with specialist qualifications in Special Education, Guidance, and English as a Second Language. She recently acquired her specialist qualifications as a Teacher Librarian. Oriane is known for her unwavering dedication and total commitment to her students. Oriane is skilled in promoting organization, study skills, critical thinking, and executive functioning. She has a natural ability to inspire and engage her students.
In addition to her love for the classroom, Oriane has always enjoyed tutoring students one-on-one. Her personalized approach allows her to focus on each student’s unique learning needs and goals, providing them with the individual attention and support they need to succeed.
Oriane is also a children’s book author, showcasing her creativity and love for literature. As a lifelong learner, she is a strong believer in professional development and constantly seeks new knowledge and skills and the latest developments in her field.

Melissa P.
Melissa is a Master of Teaching student and a teacher candidate from U of T OISE. She has experience tutoring and teaching a diverse group of high school students ranging from TDSB to the highly academic UTS private school. She is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto and obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in human biology and molecular biology. She graduated with a 3.8 GPA so she is very knowledgeable in the field of science, coupled with her experience working as a teaching assistant at U of T, she has all the learning skills and tips that can help students succeed in one of the world’s highest-ranking universities. She will be a certified teacher in Ontario next year after she graduates from her Master of Teaching program. Some of the subjects that she can teach are K-12 Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Geography, and Mandarin.
Tania T.
Tania has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in both English and Adult Education. She has twelve years of experience working with a range of learners from elementary school students to adults. She specializes in English, ESL, history, geography, and social sciences. She has worked in both private and nonprofit learning organizations.
AUGUSTUS Y.
Augustus is a graduate of the Masters of Teaching student at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Augustus’ teachables are Mathematics and Geography. Augustus has a Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, where he has a double major in Astronomy and Geography, he also has a minor in Mathematics. Augustus has an international background growing up in Hong Kong and graduated the international baccalaureate program with higher level Physics, Chemistry, Geography and Chinese B. As a Master of Teaching student, Augustus has experience being a classroom teacher, where he taught grade 11 college math and is now an Occasional Teacher with the York Region District School Board. He has also tutored in both Canada and Hong Kong, his most recent experience being a volunteer instructor at Study Circle for Grade 1 to 6 students. He has also worked as a private tutor for students ranging from Grade 1 to 13.
ABIGAIL F.
Abigail is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Concurrent Education BAH/B.Ed program with qualifications in Geography and Biology and a specialization in School and Classroom Leadership. She has experience with the International Baccalaureate program and students with exceptionalities.
Abigail’s teaching philosophy revolves encouraging students to rethink their perception of a subject area through engaging inquiry based activities. She prioritizes real life connections to spark interest and provide the ‘why’ behind the content.
Abigail was born in Halifax, NS and moved to BC in 2022. She is passionate about sustainability and bee conservation, and loves to try out new recipes, ski, and read in her free time.
Alain Z.
Alain Zaramian holds a B.A. (Classical Languages, Religious Studies) from the University of Toronto and an M.A. and Ph.D. (Classical Languages) from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also taught Latin and ancient Greek languages and literature. In 2018, he was awarded the Classics Department’s annual award for teaching. He additionally has many years of tutoring experience, working with high school and university students in a broad range of subjects across the humanities and social sciences. He is currently working on his first book, a study of ancient Greek and Roman religious poetry.
In his spare time, Alain loves to read, watch movies, and cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
MATTHEW G.
Matthew graduated from the University of Alberta’s Campus St Jean with a major in Social Studies and a minor in French Language Arts. He has taught French Immersion in Edmonton and Calgary for over 5 years, and has served as a tutor for over 10 years.
Today, Matthew is a law student at the University of Calgary. He remains highly passionate in working with students and helping them achieve their goals!
FAUZIA A.
Fauzia has two masters in bioscience and a Bachelor of Education. With over ten years of science teaching and tutoring experience, Fauzia loves to help students learn science with love and passion. She has a wide array of teaching courses in general sciences, geography, environmental sciences, biology, and chemistry. She is an expert teacher helping students with AP and IB bio and chem.
Nikki M.
Nikki has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph, where she worked alongside a professor as a TA during her final semester. She also has over 7+ years of experience working with children, ages 2-15, with and without special needs as a preschool teacher, tutor, daycare worker, camp counsellor, and aquatics instructor.
Nikki also has experience working as an academic coach and helping students with their note-taking, organization, and executive function skills. She is qualified to teach all subjects at the Primary Junior Level (PreK-6) and specializes in English, Law, Politics, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the Intermediate, Senior and Post-Secondary Levels.
Most importantly, Nikki is patient as she understands that every student has their own pace and unique way of learning. While continuing her professional development, she also enjoys swimming, volunteering and travelling.
