Coming from a family of engineers and grammar-enthusiasts (yes, they do exist), Dave has a background in mechanical engineering and has worked in R&D, developing professional sports equipment for almost a decade. When he decided to shift his career by doing an MBA, he wrote the GMAT and scored in the 99th percentile. Ever since then, he has worked on GMAT problems in his spare time and always looks for the right strategy, not just the right answer.

His focus for his students is to make sure that there is a fundamental understanding of what is going on with each problem.

Dave has a deep love of math, science and standardized testing in all its forms that has been developed over a lifetime of solving puzzles, riddles, and all manner of counter-intuitive conundrum. He currently tutors math, SATs, GMATs, physics and English.
