Gowsiga T.
In 2011, Gowsi earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from York University. The following year, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Human Rights and Equity Studies from the same institution. Seeking to deepen her expertise in human rights advocacy, Gowsi pursued and completed a Master of Arts in Immigration and Settlement Studies at Ryerson University in 2013. In 2019, she furthered her education, obtaining a Master of Teaching (Intermediate/Senior Level) from the University of Toronto (OISE).
Post-OISE graduation, Gowsi embarked on her teaching journey with notable institutions including the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), The Bishop Strachan School, and the University of Toronto Schools. Guided by a teaching philosophy emphasizing the creation of a nurturing and positive learning environment, she prioritizes tailored instruction that caters to individual learner needs and styles.
Lucas P.
Lucas is a Certified Teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board after graduating from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate/Senior division. Following graduation, Lucas continues to hone his skills as an educator teaching in the senior division in different high schools as he supports his student’s development in essay writing, critical thinking, citations and other learning skills. Lucas believes in and values the individuality of each student and strives to tailor his teaching and tutoring methods to best fit the student at hand.
For over 5 years Lucas has devoted his time working in camps with the City of Toronto and volunteering in schools within the TCDSB where he has learned how to create positive learning environments and identify the strengths and weaknesses of each learner. In his spare time, Lucas enjoys the outdoors either hiking in provincial parks or playing golf with friends and family.

Daniel H. is a current BCL/JD candidate at the McGill Faculty of Law with a Master of Arts in Political Science from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Studies from Queen’s University. Israel is OCT Certified Teacher with an Honours Bachelor of Science from McMaster University! He Majored in Mathematics and Statistics (Mathematics Concentration) with a Minor in Physics and Astronomy. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University with Junior/Intermediate Qualifications. He obtained further Senior Qualifications with a concentration on Mathematics and Law at OISE as well as Special Education Qualifications from York!
He has a passion for mathematics for many years and hopes to help break down barriers to make math more accessible! While understanding that content is of utmost importance, he believes that culturally responsive teaching and a Universal Design of Learning is essential to the success of all students. A core tenet of his philosophy is:
“it is OK not to like Math (or any subject for that matter), as long as you leave knowing that you can work towards your own version of success!”

Ana V.
Ana is a young professional & educator. She has a combined experience of 10+ years teaching all ages in varying subjects such as French, music, social sciences, and junior level math & sciences. She completed her French Immersion Certificate in 2016 & graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor in Public Affairs & Policy Management in 2021. Throughout her time at Carleton, she worked as an Economics Workshop Facilitator where she was constantly coming up with creative ways to present information to students- catering to all different types of learning styles. Ana is an incredibly skilled communicator & has a love for teaching that is evident in her work. She believes an individualized approach is the key to the success of her students. In her spare time she likes to read, sing in choir & spend time with friends & family!

Rita holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto with a double major in Criminology and Sociology, and a minor in Philosophy. She also obtained an ECE diploma from Seneca College. Rita is currently in her second year in the Masters of Child Study and Education program at OISE, leading to an OCT. Rita has experience working in a Montessori school and several other classroom settings in both the public and catholic school boards. Rita is especially passionate about helping students develop and strengthen their literacy skills. In her free time, Rita enjoys going on nature walks, trying new restaurants, and painting.

STEPHEN N.
Stephen is an Ontario Certified Teacher, with an undergraduate degree in History and Sociology from Queen’s University, a Masters in Teaching from the University of Toronto, and a Masters of Education from the University of Vancouver Island. Born in Toronto, Stephen grew up in Peterborough, and after completing his teacher education spent six years living and teaching high school History and Law in British Columbia. He considers teaching an incredible profession for the connections and bonds he’s made, and the ability to help his students both academically and with exploring their aspirations for the future. This mindset has pushed him to meet people from all over the world, and fostered a love of travelling to learn more about other cultures and their day-to-day experiences.
